New Twilight EBay Auction to Visit Breaking Dawn Set

The Twilight Saga has been a pop culture phenomenon since the first book in the series came out in 2005, which was soon followed by the film adaptation of the book in 2008. The fantasy book series revolves around Bella Swan who moves from Phoenix, Arizona, to Forks, Washington, and winds up falling in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen. In 2009 the second Twilight movie debuted, and then this year the third Twilight movie premiered, but now fans will have to wait until November of 2011 for the next installment in the series called The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. November 2011 is when part one of the final movie will be released, and this will be followed by part 2 releasing in November 2012.

This week something unique was announced for the true Twilight fans (aka Twihards), which is a chance to travel to the Vancouver set in early 2011 to visit while the film is in production. However the only catch is that you have to be the winner of an eBay auction which is currently underway, where the proceeds will go to benefit non-profit organization, Stand Up to Cancer. E! Online was one of the first to announce the charity auction, which started with an opening bid of only $100. Since then there have been 62 bids, and the current auction bid stands at $9,600, with the next bidder needing to go to $9,700 to have a chance to visit the set of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. So if you are one of the biggest Twihards around and have an extra $10,000 to spend, you might consider taking a look at this auction. The auction does not end until September 17 however, so it is likely that the final winning bid will be well over $10,000.

Eclipse Hits Theaters in Wider Distribution Today!

Today Eclipse hits theatres in a wider distribution. It’s sort of a re-release since it’s hitting a broader area. Fandango is selling tickets to the re-release of Eclipse in celebration of Bella’s birthday! The link will help you find a theater near you, showtimes, and of course will let you order tickets!

As of Wednesday night, domestic sales of Eclipse are $298,859,646. That’s roughly 2 million more than the final domestic in theater sales of New Moon. As of right now Eclipse is the number four film of the year behind Toy Story 3, Alice In Wonderland, and Iron Man 2. It’s not very likely that Eclipse would overtake either of the top two this weekend. Toy Story 3 has earned over a whopping $400,000,000 and Alice in Wonderland has $334,191,110. On the other hand, Eclipse stands a decent chance at overtaking Iron Man 2 either by the end of this weekend or when it ends its in theater run some time in late November.

This re-release should solidify Eclipse as a top five film of the year putting it well ahead of Inception, currently in the number 5 position. The major challenge in the top five will come when the the first segment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows releases by the end of the year. Eclipse shouldn’t get knocked out of the top five, but it will be interesting to see what the final rankings will be.

We’re betting on the following: Toy Story, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, Eclipse, Iron Man 2 being the final order. What do you think?

Eclipse DVD Release Date Confirmed!

Twilight Eclipse will be coming to DVD on the 6th December… just in time for Christmas.

The DVD edition of the film is set to come complete with three hours' worth of extra footage, including commentaries from Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

As well as an added dose of our favourite Twilight couple, the DVD will also include deleted and extended scenes, commentry by director David Slade and interviews with the cast members.

A six-part making of Eclipse documentary will also come with the DVD and for all those Taylor Lautner fans out there, it will also feature photo galleries of the topless hunk.

Other special features include an Edward Fast Forward and Jacob Fast Forward application and music videos from Muse and Metric.

For those Twihard's who are still yet to buy the previous two Twilight movies, a special triple-disc collection will also be available, containing all three vampire flicks in a limited edition souvenir steel case.

Breaking Dawn Already Making Waves in Louisiana

The fact that production for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is taking place partially in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is making big waves in the community.

A local news source did some poking around to find out details about production plans for the films, and they learned that the scenes being shot in Louisiana will indeed be indoors and that it is being considered very beneficial to the local economy.

"What you'll see is much like what 'Steel Magnolias' did for Natchitoches . . . People go to Natchitoches to this day to see the house in 'Steel Magnolias,'" reports WBRZ. Given the fact that Twilight fans are famed for traveling to Forks, La Push, Portland, Vancouver, and even to Italy to see the Twilight sights, this is probably at least a little true.

Specific details were, of course, unavailable, but the station's news clip shows a bit of what's being said around town about the production.

Dakota Fanning: Her Journey and Her Ultimate Dream

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s co-star from Twilight saga Dakota Fanning walked into the corridors of Hollywood right when she was a child as she featured in ‘I Am Sam’ at the ripe age of 7.

Dakota may be riding high on her new found success with Twilight and The Runaways fetching her the attention a young actress needs, but she has her feet firmly on the ground and isn’t taking the fame for grounded.

She feels, “I know this is what I want to do for the rest of my life but I think that everything can end tomorrow. You have to live your life for the moment and not take it for granted. I don’t think you ever feel completely secure.”

Dakota is grateful for whatever she has achieved so far and that, too, at a bare age of 16. “I feel so lucky to have had some of the opportunities that I’ve had. I know some people aren’t that lucky, to be at the right place at the right time or do the right movie.”

However, her ultimate dream is to work with her idol Jodie Foster, the sensational and powerful actress. Here’s hoping that I would still be writing about Dakota 20 years down the line…. (ENSNN)

Twilight Saga at Scream Awards 2010!

The Scream Awards by Spike TV have just announced their 2010 nominations. Last year Twilight took away 4 awards including Breakout Male-Taylor Lautner, Best Fantasy Actress-Kristen Stewart, Best Fantasy Actor-Robert Pattinson, and Best Fantasy Fantasy Movie-Twilight. Taylor Lautner picked up all the awards in person last year because other cast members were filming. Hopefully more will be able to make an appearance this year.

Here’s the rundown of what Twilight Saga Eclipse is up for this year. Technically New Moon also should have been eligible, but they seem to be focusing on Eclipse.

Rami Malek Joins "Breaking Dawn"

Earlier this summer it was confirmed that the final installment of The Twilight Saga would be split into two films to .... have more time to tell the story of the conclusion of the series. It will cost Summit Entertainment a pretty penny to do so because the cast was only signed to four features – not that it matters considering how much Breaking Dawn will make from double-charging fans Harry Potter style.

At the Entertainment Tonight exclusive Emmy party on Sunday, ET correspondent Kate Gosselin was able to find out what new face will be joining the cast of Breaking Dawn. Rami Malek, who was on hand to celebrate The Pacific for which he starred in, will play an Egyptian vampire named Benjamin in part 2 of Breaking Dawn.

In the books, Benjamin is a cheerful character and friend of the Cullens. Better yet, he has the unique power of controlling the four elements and will easily become a fan-favorite character as he works with Bella to fight off the Volturi. Edward (Robert Pattinson) is especially fond of Benjamin as well due to is moral values, good nature, and sense of right and wrong.

The Egyptian coven, which includes Tia, Amun and Kebi, pay special attention to Benjamin because of his gifts and this is why Amun turned him in the first place, knowing his potential power.

Strangely enough, the LA-born Malek played the Egyptian pharaoh Ahkmenrah in Night at the Museum and its sequel, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

Malek is excited to play a character who has an important role in the latter half of Breaking Dawn and isn’t shy about sharing his feelings.

“I think it’s going to be great… It’s going to be super exciting and I’m thrilled”

I was a fan of David Slade’s work on Eclipse where he made it the only film of the series so far I found to be enjoyable. Let’s hope Bill Condon can make Breaking Dawn 1 & 2 work for moviegoers outside of the Twilight fanbase.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 will arrive in theaters November 18th, 2011 and Part 2 will follow on November 16th, 2012.

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do: Where Will Breaking Dawn Split?

As we await the next films in the Twilight Saga, I can’t help but have mixed emotions. I’m not quite sure how I feel about last books being split into two films. Maybe I’ll know for sure after I experience it with the next Harry Potter movie? I can’t help but wonder whether two films truly benefits the fan’s thirst to see more of the book in film or whether it really benefits the pockets of those invested in the film. For fans it may even be a love-hate situation. There’s the bitter sweetness of accepting the delay of the end of beloved saga for as long as possible, along with the agony of waiting yet another year for extra movie. Rather than dwelling on the sadness and frustration of both, I’ve tried to preoccupy myself with two things:

Wondering instead how they plan to keep us excited for the upcoming movies and of course the question on everyone’s minds…where will they split the two movies?

With the two parts of the movie, I think most of us assumed what screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg confirmed in an MTV interview:

"The first half is really about Bella as a human and a newlywed and then pregnant, and the second half is about her as a vampire and a parent, so somewhere in that transition is where the break is.”
Fans have posted plenty of general speculation about this break, but has anyone really thought specifically about how visually this would best work in film? I know I have!

I think the first movie should end with the moments after the birth scene, which I do think should be included in the movie, in some capacity. The same MTV interview mentions that Rosenberg is unsure if she’d want to show Bella’s birth scene. I personally would not prefer not to see all the macabre details of vomiting blood, cutting Bella’s stomach, Edward biting through the placenta or working over a bloody corpse. Anything too gory would feel out of place for me since the previous films all lacked extreme bloodiness. It could definitely be done with minimal gruesomeness and focus on the characters and their reactions.

But back to the ending scene, here’s what I imagine…

Renesmee has bitten the weak Bella and is carried away through the door. As she fades away, Jake looks at Bella’s body in shock and then back towards the door where Renesmee was taken through, sad and confused by the new tug that he feels.

He then looks back at Bella and touches her hand as if to say goodbye. As anger wells up inside him, he looks furiously back at the door and gets up with murder on his mind.

The scene slows down with back and forth shots of images of Jake and the things going on at the same time while Bella has a voiceover of parts of book’s preface….

“I’d had more than my fair share of near-death experiences; it wasn’t something you ever really got used to (images: Edward working on saving Bella)…When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options (images: Bella’s bitten wounds closing up, Jacob angrily leaving the birth scene)…If your life was all you had to give to your beloved, how could you not give it? (images: Renesmee being cared for without showing her face but she looks up)….If it was someone you truly loved?” (images: Jake stopping in his tracks, expression changing to shock and understanding as he imprints)

To top it off, I would just love it if they have one of those snippets at the end of the credits like they’ve had in some movies like Pirates of the Caribbean: at the World’s End, Wolverine, and Iron Man 2. I imagine it showing muffled sounds becoming clearer, darkness becoming lighter and then a close-up shot of Bella’s red eye opening. BAM! Now that would get me psyched for Part 2!

I can’t wait to see how they plan to make Bella look different as a vampire, especially with the red eyes. Particularly to replace the unfortunate peek we had of vampire Bella in the New Moon movie (come on now, even Chris Weitz expressed regrets with that scene!). Hopefully the movie posters for each film will contrast each other with Bella’s look. Which reminds me, is anyone else bored of the posters simply showing the threesome and hoping for more details or perhaps other characters? Ah there I go feeling excited yet sad again thinking about the last movie. It’s been an exhilarating journey that hopefully will end with a lot of poignant closure…and I for one can’t wait to see those movie posters showing Bella as a red eyed vampire, you know as long as she’s not frolicking in the forest.

Carlisle Ranked as "Worst Vampire"

We don't agree with Carlisle being ranked #1 of the worst vampires, but unfortunately he is on Peter Travers's list...oh well, Peter Facinelli has an excellent attitude about it ~ WAY TO GO!!!!

Vampires are big business currently. Everyone seems to be in love with them at the moment. Just look at the popularity of "True Blood" and "Twilight" on the small and big screen. Don't forget 'The Vampire Diaries' too!

A recent report stated that vampires have brought in $7 billion into Hollywood. As with any anything, someone will have an opinion on who is the best and the worst at being a vampire. That list came out last week when Peter Travers released his list of the best and worst vampires on screen. The worst vampire, coming in at number one, was Carlisle Cullen from the Twilight series. Yes, someone doesn't like Papa Cullen too much.

Peter Facinelli just found out about the title yesterday, and he went straight to his Twitter account to give his response to the selection. He had this to say: "As Carlisle is a compassionate humanitarian, and anti-vampire in nature, being the worst vampire was quite the compliment. Although, you had me at "solid actor". :) I did find the comparison to Austin Scarlett utterly ridiculous though ... He has way better cheek bones."

A man that can take criticism with a sense of humor. He may be considered the worst, but he handled the title well.

Strike Two! Ashley Seen at Joe Jonas's Second Softball Game in Three Days

Just three days after she first attended a softball game to cheer on boyfriend Joe Jonas, Twilight star Ashley Greene was back to support him again.
The 23-year-old actress couldn't hide her pride as Joe played with his team The Road Dogs in Newark, New Jersey.

As the girlfriend of the Jonas Brother, she was allowed to sit and watch the game from the dugout - although this time she wore her own trendy clothes instead of the Road Dogs uniform.

Stephenie Meyer ranks second on Forbes Magazine’s successful author list. She’s number two, and right behind fellow megaseller James Patterson.

“Vampire romance author Stephenie Meyer ranks second this year. Her Twilight series has become such a juggernaut that despite not releasing a new title in 2009, she earned $40 million over the year. About $7 million of that came from the movies adapted from the Twilight series. In June the third Twilight installment pulled in $175 million in its first six days, the most successful first week of any movie of 2010.”

Nikki Reed Talks Bella's Baby Decisions in Breaking Dawn

We all were big fans of Nikki Reed's one-on-one scene with Kristen Stewart in "Eclipse" and, fortunately for us, there are many more to come in "Breaking Dawn: Part 1." For those who haven't read the books, though, it might seem a strange shift for Nikki's Rosalie to quickly become such a staunch supporter of Bella's cause.

That cause is Bella giving birth to her half-human, half-vampire baby. While everyone surrounding her — including BFF Jacob Black and husband Edward — tell her to give up the baby that is draining her of strength and forcing her to drink animal blood, Rosalie encourages Bella to keep the baby.

While promoting her upcoming indie, "Last Day of Summer," Nikki discussed Bella's controversial pregnancy with MTV News.

"Here's how I look at it: I try not to be super opinionated and vocal, because in Hollywood, that seems to only lead you in the wrong direction," she said. "I try to relate this particular case to Rosalie and not make it metaphorical or symbolic of anything else."

She explained that Rosalie's support of Bella's birth comes from her own personal bitterness over not being able to have a child and be a mother.

"I think that Rosalie just always wanted to be a mom, and that's how I look at it," Nikki said. "It has nothing to do with being pro-life or anything. I think it's about her want, her need to be a mother, and this is the only opportunity she's every going to have, so she's willing to let Bella die so she can have that and fulfill that, and that's how I look at it. It's her own personal desires."

I don't know about you, but Twilight has turned me into a reader. I never enjoyed reading before, but now, thanks to Stephenie, I just can't seem to get enough!!

11/2 cups powdered sugar

1. Place the cereal in a large zip-seal plastic bag; set aside.

2. In a large glass bowl, combine butter and chips. Cover with wax paper and microwave on high speed for about 1 minute. Stir well. If all the chips haven't melted, microwave for an additional 10 to 20 seconds.

3. Once melted, stir in vanilla extract.

4. Pour mixture over the cereal in the plastic bag, add the powdered sugar, seal well and shake until completely mixed. Spread the mixture over a sheet of wax paper to cool thoroughly. Transfer to a serving bowl.

New Dating Rumor - Ashley & Joe Jonas ?????

Joe Jonas has fuelled rumours he is dating Twilight beauty Ashley Greene after the pair was spotted enjoying a date near the actress' Los Angeles home.

The Jonas Brothers sensation sparked gossip he had sunk his teeth into the star - who plays vampire Alice Cullen in the hit franchise - after they were spotted on a dinner date in London last month.

And the pair has kept in touch - they were spotted chatting and laughing near Greene's apartment on Monday before heading for a nearby mall and picking up coffees.

Greene is the latest teen pin-up the singer has been linked to - he has previously dated Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato.

50 Cent in Breaking Dawn? NO!

Just in case you heard this rumor, it's not true....but I must say, if he were a vampire, I'd be scared!

50 Cent in Breaking Dawn? NO! All films of The Twilight Saga had their own outrageous casting rumors and now the latest has rapper 50 Cent up for a cameo in Breaking Dawn. Amid the Breaking Dawn rumor, 50 Cent admits that there's nothing to the Twilight buzz and he won't be in Breaking Dawn.

In casting aside the Twilight rumor, 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) also reveals that he hasn't been approached about any role in either of the Breaking Dawn films.

Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer made a cameo earlier in the series ahead of British musician Peter Murphy's cameo in Eclipse.

Teen Choice Awards 2010 Tonight on Fox

The show actually took place last night, as evidenced by the article below, but you can catch it all tonight (August 9) on Fox at 8/7 C.

UNIVERSAL CITY, California -- Compared with the sensation caused by Miley Cyrus' saucy performance of "Party in the USA" at last year's Teen Choice Awards, the 2010 show was pretty tame. With 85.5 million votes cast, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" and "Eclipse" took home the most awards (15 in total).

Just like any other awards show, the reason to tune in when the show airs Monday night (August 9) on Fox is to catch a glimpse of your favorite stars, and the 2010 Teen Choice Awards certainly delivered big names. Attendees and winners included: Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Megan Fox, Channing Tatum, Sandra Bullock and David Beckham, just to name a few.

Beginning with host Katy Perry and co-hosts/ "Glee" co-stars Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, Kevin McHale and Chris Colfer, any time Perry took the stage with one of the boys, they played to a recurring theme of revisiting high school and being in a "Teenage Dream," which involved costume changes into different stereotypes: jock, nerd, hippie, prom king and queen.

Other show highlights included killer live performances: The two best were by the "Step Up 3D" dancers, who wowed the crowd with acrobatics and crazy dance moves and, later in the show, Bruno Mars and Travie McCoy's high-energy rendition of "Billionaire." Jason Derülo also get style points for opening his "In My Head" number sporting light-up shoes and MJ-inspired moves.

Sandra Bullock's acceptance of Choice Movie Actress (for her performances in "The Blind Side" and "The Proposal") and Choice Movie Dance was another key moment because she involved her "Proposal" and dance-sequence co-star, Betty White. Bullock taunted White to come onstage, and the spry 88-year-old responded by shimmy-ing her way to Bullock, and they shared a freestyle dance moment together, which delighted the crowd.

Another acceptance-speech-related highlight was Taylor Swift's remote thank you for her award. Swift appeared in a taped message wearing a wet suit, Teen Choice Award surfboard in hand, and literally jumped into a lake with the board, attempting to surf on it, sans waves or ocean.

In addition to expected ear-splitting screams for Pattinson and Lautner, Choice Male Athlete David Beckham earned a healthy share of his own. Not only that, but to accept his surfboard, he brought his three sons onstage with him, and at the end, they tossed Beckham-signed soccer balls into the crowd. Awww.

The show ended with the very sizable casts of "New Moon" and "Eclipse" onstage to send a group thank you to their Most Obsessive Fans.

Final Installment of Breaking Dawn Release Date: 11/16/12 - Yikes!

Twilight Saga fans of Breaking Dawn received good news this week when Summit Entertainment announced the release date for the second part of Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, slated for November 16, 2012.

With Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 released on November 18, 2011, many Twilight insiders thought Breaking Dawn Part 2 would follow the pattern of the previous Twilight films with a summer release date. Obviously thousands of speculative Twilight stories surrounding Breaking Dawn Part 2 were wrong with their summer predictions.

Breaking Dawn to Film in Vancouver AND Louisiana

When Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart dive back into the "Twilight" universe, they'll be doing so in both America's Deep South and Canada's Pacific Northwest.

"Breaking Dawn" will be filmed in both Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Vancouver, Canada, Summit Entertainment announced on Friday (July 9). Split into two separate films but being shot simultaneously, the production will ramp up in the fall and continue over the next year. No exact start date for filming was given.

The first film will be released on November 18, 2011. No official release date for the second part has been set, but as a Summit exec told MTV News this week, the studio is exploring multiple dates in 2012, both in the summer and later that year.

Many other questions remain about "Breaking Dawn," the most intriguing of which is the 3-D question: Will it be shot using 3-D cameras or converted to 3-D during post-production? Summit tells MTV News that such discussions are currently under way, but that no decision has yet been made. Much of the cast is onboard with the 3-D idea, including Kristen Stewart.

"I'm probably speaking out of line or whatever, but I think it would be awesome," she told MTV News. "Nobody knows what it's like to look through the eyes of a vampire. What if [Bella] opens her eyes to this extraordinary world? It could be cool."

Bill Condon ("Dreamgirls") will direct both parts of "Breaking Dawn," taking over for "Eclipse" director David Slade. Pattinson and the rest of the cast wrapped production on "Eclipse" at the end of October 2009, which means that when the stars show up on-set for "Breaking Dawn," about a year will have passed since they slipped into their respective roles as vampires and werewolves.
