New Moon Screenwriter Reveals Four Tweaks that Made the Film Work

From MTV.com/movies:

BEVERLY HILLS, California — By now, we're all on the same page. We've all seen "New Moon," and we can finally discuss the spoiler-heavy details of what worked and what didn't. That means we can unveil not only articles like this, but also our exclusive interview with screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg.

In this sit-down with the adapter of the entire "Twilight" series, Melissa pinpoints four key details that she tweaked, augmented or deleted entirely, transforming Stephenie Meyer's novel into the biggest film of 2009. From Harry Clearwater's reimagined death to the lack of Laurent, read on for Rosenberg's official take on the tweaks that made "New Moon" shine:

Hope Bella Got a Gift Receipt ...
In one narrative device Melissa is particularly proud of, Jacob gives Bella a Quileute trinket meant to capture bad dreams — although, judging by all those late-night shots of Kristen Stewart in tears, it doesn't work very well. "One of my favorite things is the dream-catcher that Jacob gives Bella," the screenwriter said. "It's the first time that we see Jacob, and I wanted to establish his and Bella's relationship, his sort-of crush. [The gift establishes] her affection for him and Edward's jealousy of him. So I had the idea that he brought her a little birthday gift and came up with the dream-catcher, which would be true to his culture but also to the theme of the movie; there's a lot of dreams in this movie. That, I thought, played well."

Getting the Cullen Kicked Out of Him ...
In Meyer's novel, the Volturi scenes are a moody medley of tension, fear and careful wordplay. In the movie, however, Felix lays the smack-down on Edward as he tries to protect Bella. Like many scenes, Rosenberg said she needed to up the visuals to take the place of lost narrative nuances. "In the book, at the very end, the final climatic scene is Edward and Bella and Alice going to the Volturi and the potential that they might not walk out of there," she said. "It is very fraught with tension, but the tension is expressed through dialogue, and I wanted to heighten that. I wanted to have that conflict be external. So I pushed it into an all-out-battle, and Chris [Weitz] and the stunt people, along with ['X-Men' star] Daniel Cudmore who plays Felix, did this great action sequence at the end that's just really fantastic."

Cause of Death Unclear ...
Although he's a relatively minor character, the death of Quileute elder Harry Clearwater sets off a pivotal chain of events in the "Twilight" world. In Meyer's "New Moon" novel, Charlie Swan's friend dies of a heart attack. In the movie, the sight of vixen vampire Victoria kills him. So why the switch? "Well, in the book, Harry Clearwater's heart attack is mentioned as something that happens offscreen, although it plays a crucial part of the structure of the books. It's what gets Edward going to the Volturi, after he calls Charlie and then Jacob answers and says, 'Charlie's at a funeral,' " she explained. "That launches the entire third act of the movie. ... That just gave me the idea 'Stephenie doesn't specify what causes the heart attack,' so I decided that it could be caused by something startling him. It could be caused by fear. That was a way to keep Victoria alive. It was a way to keep Charlie and the danger of the hunt alive, and that's where we get a really great action sequence with Victoria that blends together important parts of the movie and important parts of the book moving forward. So I particularly like that."

The Love of Laurent
Sadly, fan fave Edi Gathegi doesn't get much screen time in "New Moon" and dies quite quickly. Rosenberg told us that if she had one regret, it's that she would've liked to delve deeper into the nomad's motivations. "Yes, we had to pull out some of the backstory, because it really just came down to conversation. Laurent was in Alaska, trying to be a vegetarian briefly, and all of his relationship with the Denali clan," she revealed. "A lot of the backstory for Laurent had to be pulled, because it just slowed everything down. I wish we could have gotten more of that in there."

New Moon "Wolfs" Down $140.7M in Opening Weekend!

The vampire romance "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" sucked up $140.7 million in its first three days and pulled in a total of $258.8 million worldwide, according to studio estimates Sunday.

The No. 1 domestic debut for Summit Entertainment's "New Moon" was more than twice the $69.6 million haul over the same weekend last year for "Twilight," the first in the franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's novels.

"Obviously, with the success of `Twilight' itself, sequels being what they are will generate X-number of dollars more, particularly if it's a satisfying sequel," said Richie Fay, head of distribution for Summit.

"New Moon" placed third on the all-time domestic chart behind last year's $158.4 million opening weekend for the Batman blockbuster "The Dark Knight" and 2007's $151.1 million haul for "Spider-Man 3."

Among the top-10 all-time openings, "New Moon" is the only one that came outside of Hollywood's busiest time, the summer season. The movie adaptation of Meyer's next "Twilight" chapter, "Eclipse," arrives in the heart of summer, next June 30.

On Friday, "New Moon" set an all-time domestic high for opening day with $72.7 million, topping the previous record of $67.2 million by last year's "The Dark Knight.

Overall, Hollywood had its second-biggest non-holiday weekend ever, with final numbers expected to come in slightly behind the $260 million the industry rang up over the weekend of July 18, 2008, when "The Dark Knight" opened.

Compared to the same weekend last year, business was up 59 percent.

Overseas, "New Moon" debuted in 25 countries and took in $118.1 million.....

New Moon: The Reviews Are In!

From MTV.com/movies:

'New Moon': The Reviews Are In!
Still on the fence about the 'Twilight' sequel? Maybe the critics will help.
By Eric Ditzian

It's Friday morning, and the opening midnight screenings of "New Moon" have come and gone. But it's not just devoted vampire lovers and werewolf fiends who got early looks at the film. Premieres and screenings have taken place across the country, and loads of folks have already been able to see this sequel to Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" vampire series.

Now, let's be honest, if you're a committed Twilighter, you surely already plunked down some cash for an opening weekend trip to the cinema and are counting the minutes until showtime. Or maybe you're sitting on the "Twilight" fence, unsure if all the breathless enthusiasm for Edward and Bella can possibly live up to the hype. Well, the "New Moon" reviews have flooded in to help you decide. Agree or disagree, here are what the critics are saying about the film.

Perhaps the most notable difference between "Twilight" and "New Moon" — aside from Taylor Lautner's new muscles — is the look and style of the film after a new director came on board the franchise. "Director Chris Weitz ('The Golden Compass') has crafted a film with visual flair and polish, particularly in the action sequences of werewolves vs. vampires," writes USA Today's Claudia Puig. "Fortunately, he is more sparing with the tight close-ups and swirling shots that typified 'Twilight' director Catherine Hardwicke's dizzying style."

And then, of course, there are the film's three leads. Not all critics were taken with their performances, but many gave them props. "Kristen Stewart is a little twitchy ('Can't she get through one scene without playing with her hair?' a friend of mine sniped afterward) but her antics and moody moping are perfectly appropriate to the troubled-teen character," declares Stephen Whitty of the New Jersey Star-Ledger. "As for her co-stars — well, they do exactly what they need to do, which is embody two separate kinds of wish-fulfillments for the fans. A newly buff Taylor Lautner is hunky, often shirtless — and very much the Bad Boy (complete with motorcycle and delinquent friends) every girl is warned about. And Robert Pattinson — all tousled locks and malnourished torso — has all the troubled anguish of the Sensitive Soul No One Understands."

Our own Kurt Loder was thrilled to see Lautner take over from Pattinson for the large part of the movie. "Last year's sensitive hunk, with his pasty face and glum, mopey demeanor, is no match for this year's actual hunk; and Jacob — vibrant, funny, and madly muscular — romps off with the picture," he says.

The supporting cast come in for especially high praise. "Michael Sheen takes a break from playing historical figures like David Frost and Tony Blair and gets to overact shamelessly as Aro, the head of the vampire council known as the Volturi," says the Boston Globe's Ty Burr. "Better yet, there's Dakota Fanning, God bless her, showing Stewart how it's done in one nifty scene as a vampirette with sadistic mental powers and old-school movie presence. Anna Kendrick also walks away with her one scene as Bella's tart high school pal, Jessica."

While many critics acknowledge how the film serves its base, they argue that "New Moon" won't hit home for those less familiar with franchise mythology. "[E]xpect this film to satisfy its fans," explains Mick LaSalle of the San Francisco Chronicle. "Everybody else, get ready for a bizarre soap opera/pageant, consisting of a succession of static scenes with characters loping into the frame to announce exactly what they're thinking. Then they spell out their personalities for us. Here is an emotionally tortured vampire. Here is a perky, friendly vampire. And don't forget the vampire who is a dedicated physician."

So while not every critic may get the "Twilight" phenomenon, fans undoubtedly will. " 'New Moon' is not all love and hisses," says the Toronto Star's Peter Howell. "Although tangled romance is more the emphasis this time out — 'Romeo and Juliet' allusions are driven home like a stake through the heart — there are action set pieces designed to thrill genre movie lovers. They'll likely scare the daylights out of everyone else."

So what did you think????

From Examiner.com:

New Moon's LA Premiere

From AccessHollywood.com:

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner thrilled thousands of fans in Los Angeles on Monday night as they turned up for the premiere of their highly-anticipated new film, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”

“It’s so amazing,” Robert told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson of the fan reaction at last night’s premiere, held at Mann Westwood.

When asked what his first reaction was when he stepped out of the car and onto the red carpet, the British actor revealed that nature took over.

“I kind of black out [for] like five minutes before. I’m not thinking anything. My brain is obviously releasing endorphins or something,” he laughed.

And co-star Kristen, who turned up in a floor length, strapless Oscar De La Renta gown, said she just wanted to go reach out to the masses.

“It’s crazy,” she said of the amount of fans who lined the streets at the premiere “I thought this was so cool because… I got to go talk to the fans.”

Taylor said 2008’s “Twilight” premiere was impressive, but “New Moon” took things to a different level.

“I was really surprised with this last year,” the 17-year-old, who donned a Calvin Klein collection suit for the event, said. “[That] premiere was crazy and this time, it’s times ten. It’s great.”

At the premiere, Shaun took the opportunity to show the cast a collection of dolls modeled after their “New Moon” characters, and Taylor in particular was shocked to see himself in plastic.

“Oh my!” he said. “That is so bad. Hide that thing right now! I do not want to see it. This is very embarrassing.”

But he quickly took a liking to little Jacob.

“This is fantastic,” Taylor said, cuddling the toy. “He’s just going to sit on my shoulder [during the interview].”

As for Robert, he had a very different reaction to his Edward doll.

“I have long hair?” he exclaimed after seeing the toy. “Who does that look like? It looks like an ‘80s pop star or something.”

'New Moon' Breaking Records Even Before Premiere

From movieblog.mtv.com:

Surprised? Don't be. "New Moon" is big news. When "Twilight" hit theaters almost a year ago, no one really expected it to grow into the phenomenon its become. This Friday though, that's the real litmus test.

"Twilight" did almost $70 million in its opening weekend last year, comparable to the past weekend's "2012," which brought in $65 million. While it certainly isn't a bad opening, the phenomenon feels bigger than that. Maybe it's because, working at MTV, I'm constantly inundated with "Twilight" coverage. Whatever the reason, "New Moon"'s weekend earnings will offer additional insight to just how large Stephenie Meyer's series has become. We already have a pretty good idea, by way of Fandango.
The word from the online ticket retailer, via Deadline Hollywood, is that "New Moon" has surpassed the competition to become their number one advance ticket seller of all time. It's interesting to note that, of the other four movies, three were released this year or last: "Twilight" (#5), "The Dark Knight" (#4) and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (#3). "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" (#2) hit theaters in 2005 and was the previous title-holder. But "New Moon" has now even bested the long-awaited reveal of Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader.

As the Dark Lord himself might say, most impressive.

You can find all manner of stats over on Deadline Hollywood, which apparently got an exclusive on Fandango's weekly press release. My favorite stat: 10% of those polled plan to show up to the theater dressed as a character. We "Star Wars" fans at least have you Twilighters beat there!

New Moon Mall Tour in Illinois

The "New Moon" tour hit Illinois last night (Tuesday, 11/10) with Ashley Greene and (newly blond) Kellan Lutz taking center stage as hundreds of screaming fans surely broke a few decibel records in appreciation.

MTV News caught up with the photogenic pair moments after their autograph session ended in the mall's "New Moon" paraphernalia packed Hot Topic. We'll share our fun-filled conversation with the duo soon right here.

But, the action began long before Kellan and Ashley arrived. MTV News touched down in Chicago early in the day to hang with the fans, many of whom had camped out Halloween night to collect the coveted wristbands ensuring them an autograph.

If the excitement and enthusiasm of the crowd in the Aurora mall is any indication the rest of the 15 stop "New Moon" mall tour (which began in L.A. last Friday and culminates in New York City November 19) will be an unprecedented success in connecting the fans with the "Twilight" cast. One word of advice: if you make it out to one of the next stops be sure to bring a strong voice if you expect to heard. Or earplugs if you're worried about waking up the next morning without a headache.

New Moon Merchandise at Borders....Preparing for the Midnight Showing

Are you prepared for the Midnight showing of New Moon? I'm not!! I guess it's high time I kick it into gear!

So, I was browsing the Borders website and noticed some new and interesting 'New Moon' merchandise that just might come in handy for the big night. Some of it is really cool; others, well, just bizarre. Here's a sampling:

Do you have your New Moon shirt yet? This one looks nice!!!

Or maybe a Tribal hoodie, hmmm..... it is getting a little chilly out.

Don't forget your water bottle for long lines of waiting to get into the theaters....you could always fill it with Crystal Light Fruit Punch just to freak people out :-)
Don't forget to take your Edward blanket since it's probably going to be cold out. I'm sure Edward will NOT have any problem keeping you nice and cozy!

And for all the pushing and shoving that might take place while trying to get in the theater doors, please sure and take your Twilight bandages ~ this is NOT the place to be bleeding..... (Okay, the bandages are absolutely ridiculous, but I just had to add them because I couldn't stop laughing.....)

Check out all of Borders merchandise by clicking here!

Jacob Black Wolf Grows a Pair....of Fangs!

From Wolfsbane at twilightersanonymous.com:

One obvious and really exciting evolution we noticed from the first New Moon trailer here to the latest here are the distinct changes made to Jacob’s wolf form.

Truth be told, the first New Moon trailer featuring the Jacob-to-Wolf snap transformation already had me looking for my sleeping bag and staking out a spot in line. Jake’s 30 foot leap culminating with a snarling hulk of a wolf was the hands-down highlight of the 90 second tidbit. The fine CGI work seemed to me a clear indication of Summit’s commitment to the saga and coupled with New Moon Movie’s casting coups, it really looked like they were pulling out all the stops to make us forgive and forget the less than stellar effects of Twilight.

The first trailer’s wolf was most certainly a (bleep). It had excellent CGI work and it appeared to me that they took some visual cues from the Eastern Timber Wolf, with reddish highlights over a full mane, and a shaggy winter coat topping bare fore and rear limbs. There was still a cartoonish feel to it, but I had chalked it off to unfinished rendering, it was after all a really early preview of the movie.

Take a look for yourself:

The new trailer brought with it a whole new Jacob wolf, and I must say, it certainly is badder, er, (bleep)! Gone are the Timber Wolf red highlights (or as my sister likes to call it, Clairol Sedona Sunset) and in its place are the deadly drab browns that a wolf hunting rogue vamps in Fork’s forests would be more at ease in. We now see features taken from the Grey Wolf: The shorter, one-length fur, slightly larger nose topping a narrower snout, and the aggressive stalking posture of a wolf with dinner in sight.

Note the major differences besides the fur color change:

The eyes are more slanted, reminiscent of the wolf in ‘300′, and gives off a menacing stare.

The upper set of fangs are more pronounced and appear aged, giving an impression of past battles and well, a darn scary bite.

The fighting snarl created by the narrower snout also makes the wolf more intimidating.

All in all, I see welcome changes in the right direction. I’m pleased to see the Summit guys constantly tweaking this movie to make it better and not resting on their Twilight laurels. True, it has a lot more to live up to, but I can’t help but notice that Summit’s been much more active in listening to fan feedback and applying it to the movie in realtime. New Moon promises to be the true Fan’s Film that we are all hoping for it to be.

If Jacob’s wolf is any indication of how hard the New Moon movie is going to rock our faces, then we can expect to be sitting in the theatres come midnight on the 19th, jaws on the floor, popcorn uneaten, minds blown.

Little Red Riding Hood better watch out, this isn’t your gramma’s forest anymore.

Great job, WolfsBane! Thanks for sharing....

Stephenie Meyer on Oprah!

From StephenieMeyer.com:

Hi everybody!

I wanted to apprise you all of a few upcoming things.

You know I've been doing the hermit thing this last year, in so far as media is concerned, and I'm not changing that now, but I am making an exception. I'm doing this for a good reason: I am so pleased and amazed and thrilled with what Chris Weitz has done with New Moon that I want to talk about it, and to show my support for him. And since I'm only doing one interview, better make it big. Really big. So....I will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, November 13th. Check the local listings on Oprah's website to find out what time it will be on where you live.........

I'm so very excited that you'll all get to see New Moon in just two weeks! Then you'll see what I'm going on about....

Love,

SNL Spoof of Twilight

Great job, Taylor Swift!

Is Edward Cullen a Jerk?

**Remember, we're only passing on to you the question MTV is posing....we don't agree! We don't think Edward is a jerk at all!!!! We love Edward. I mean, look at that face! But, of course, please leave your opinion in our comments section because I'm sure all you Jacob fans probably feel differently, and possibly even some Edward fans.... :-)

Now, to the story:

From MTV.com:

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Millions of women all over the world dream of being held in his arms. He's strong, handsome, charming and endearingly old-fashioned. But several scenes in the upcoming film "New Moon" seem to reveal a different side of Robert Pattinson's iconic character, moments that raise an intriguing question: Is Edward Cullen a jerk?

From uncool parking practices, to stalking, to abandoning his loved one in a time of need, perhaps the 108-year-old vampire needs a class in modern etiquette. For more on the topic, we took the spoiler-free evidence straight to RPattz himself for an all-in-good-fun investigation:

A Volvo Faux Pas? - It's not giving anything away to say that the first time we see Edward in "New Moon," Bella is watching him park his car in the Forks High lot. Pulling in sideways, he takes up three spaces (!) and then struts toward the camera defiantly. "Yeah," Pattinson laughed when asked if taking up multiple spots is a dick move. "I didn't help the situation much [with the strut], either. I always thought [parking like that] was a little strange myself." Blaming director Chris Weitz's instructions for the shot that was meant to make Edward look more cool than cocky, RPattz tried to defend Edward. "I think [he did it] because that was the only spot, there weren't any other spots available," he offered, insisting it looks better on film to drive across multiple spaces than to execute a three-point turn between parked cars. "It would be less of a dramatic entrance if I'm, like, backing up into something."

Please Stay 100 Yards Away From Bella - A critic once called Edward "one of modern fiction's best candidates for a restraining order," and after watching the "New Moon" movie, it's hard to disagree. He spies on her while she sleeps, gets angry when she sees friends he doesn't approve of, keeps deceiving her dad — and even when they're broken up, his apparition watches Bella's every move. "I guess that's what the story is about in 'New Moon'," RPattz admitted. "I love Charlie — Bella's dad's — attitude toward Edward in this one; he never gives him a break about anything, he's just constantly saying, 'That guy. He's just terrible for you.' " Dramatically, however, Pattinson said that a court decree to stay apart wouldn't make for a very romantic movie. "I guess the restraining order wouldn't really be very good for anyone," he joked. "But [Bella] could use a restraining order. I think if [Edward] wasn't a vampire, and this was in reality, a girl's parents would think he was an oddball."

Love 'Em and Leave 'Em - Sure, there are extenuating circumstances, but here are the facts: He told Bella he loved her and in the new movie he dumps her and splits for Italy. Not cool, Eddie, not cool. "One of the main things I felt [while filming the breakup scene] was what fans think of Bella and Edward's relationship, what that represents to them as the ideal relationship," Rob said, admitting he felt like he was being a jerk to all the female Twilighters when he dumped Bella. "You're breaking up the ideal relationship. I felt a lot of the weight behind that ... you could really feel the audience watching as you're doing it."

Rob & Kristen's Newlywed Game

Omg! dishes on Kristen and Rob-

-Rob Pattinson's and Kristen Stewart's rooms sit side by side on the thirtysomethingth floor of the Sheraton hotel in Vancouver ("the Couve," as Kristen calls it), where they are filming "Eclipse," the third installment of the "Twilight" saga (see more pics here). They spend a lot of time in their rooms in the sky -- two Rapunzels of sorts entertaining themselves behind closed doors -- because it's really, really hard to go out.

At the moment, there is only one thing anyone cares about regarding these two, who, as "Twilight's" Bella and Edward, manifest all of our vampiric romance fetishes: Are they dating or what? Well ... it's clear that Rob and Kristen are close -- very close. OK, who is the most romantic then? "I have a no-bull---- detector," says Kristen, "so I'd have to say Rob is. I think romance is anything honest. As long as it's honest, it's so disarming." Rob chuckles when asked the same question. "Um, I don't know. What did Kristen say?" You. "No. I'm better at faking." This is followed by a very long laugh."

MTV's Interview with Nikki Reed

MTV.com

"Twilight" mastermind Stephenie Meyer describes Rosalie Hale as the most beautiful woman in the world — a tall, statuesque vampire with long, wavy, blond hair and eyes resembling violets. Onscreen, 21-year-old beauty Nikki Reed has lived up to that impossible description, endearing herself to fans even as she further antagonizes their beloved Bella Swan.

Rounding out a week of Cullen family interviews that has included Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser and Kellan Lutz, we caught up with the refreshingly frank actress to talk about the joys of a half-naked Taylor Lautner, rainbow analysis and why she'll never, ever own a Rob Pattinson doll.

MTV: What's the biggest difference, in your personal opinion, between the three "Twilight" books currently being filmed as the "Saga"?

Nikki Reed: The biggest difference? Well, I know the similarities — it's an ongoing love story. I guess the action increases and the excitement and visual stimulation. But I think "New Moon" really revolves around this intense love triangle, and with "Eclipse," it's more heightened.

MTV: What's your favorite scene in "New Moon"?

Reed: Anything that Taylor Lautner is in. Seriously, the kid is — he's not a kid, he's a young man — but he's incredible. And I'm not saying that because he takes his shirt off in every scene. [Laughs.] Seriously, you forget that he's half-naked in every scene, because he is so incredible. He makes this film amazing.

MTV: Tell us about your favorite new character to join the franchise, who wasn't in the original film.

Reed: All of the wolves. They bring a very obvious warmth. To see people actually interacting and wrestling and touching each other and rolling around in the mud and being a bunch of boys? That was a nice addition. Because the vampires are all very ... cold. It sounds super cliché, but there was a lot of interaction, a lot of human interaction [in "New Moon"]. It was nice.

MTV: You guys have known each other for so long. What do you discuss between takes?

Reed: Um, I suppose all kinds of things. We usually talk about rainbows. [Laughs.] That and how tired we are. That seems to be a very common topic: how exhausted we are.

MTV: As the "Saga" has continued filming, do you find yourself becoming more or less like Rosalie?

Reed: I guess the older I get, the more understanding and forgiving I've become. I'm learning how to see people as people and forgive them for their mistakes — and I guess that is unfolding in Rosalie's life as well.

MTV: What do you think is the secret to the enormous success of the "Twilight" series?

Reed: It's a universal love story. The obvious answer is the books, if you're asking why the films are successful. But if you're asking what people are drawn to, I think it's ideas, situations [and] circumstances that are just out of reach, just out of the realm of possibility. I mean, it's not realistic, but it's this whole idea about living forever. People are fascinated by vampires, because it's the one thing we can't [attain]; it's unachievable. Also, the love these two characters have for each other is relatively unhealthy and unrealistic as well. People are fascinated with situations like that.

MTV: There is so much "Twilight" swag out there now. Do you own any?

Reed: "Twilight" memorabilia? No. [Laughs.] I don't have an Edward doll.

Twilight Experience

A couple of our Followers, Danielle & Julie, had the opportunity to see Kellan at a meet and greet. Unfortunately, Kellan was unable to make it, but he rescheduled for a later date. Since he could not make it, Chaske Spencer took his place.

Here's Danielle's email about her experience:

"Well, it was kind of a bummer. Kellan actually cancelled the night before at about 11pm. He went to that party that you guys posted a bit about. They are rescheduling him to come back to Peoria though. In his place Chaske Spencer came. I was actually super impressed with him. Obviously since Kellan had to cancel so late, Chaske was given super late notice and still made it over here. He was extremely nice and patient with everyone. The good news is our regular meet and greet passes still count for when Kellan comes, our VIP ones, however do not :(. I have attached a few pictures from the day though."

Twilight and Philosophy

One of our Followers, Jessica, found this intriguing book about Twilight & Philosophy. Here's her review if you're interested in picking it up.

"Twilight and Philosophy looks deep into the lines of Twilight and the thoughts of the characters. It discusses key points in all four books. Can Edward be a person? Is it ironic that Edward is a vegetarian and Bella orders mushroom ravioli? If animals are human food, are we vampire food? What can vampires tell us about the meaning of life? What does Twilight tell us about God? Is Edward a romantic hero or a dangerous stalker? Is Bella a feminist? Is Stephanie Meyer? This book discusses main points in philosophy and how they relate to the Twilight series. It refers to western philosophers such as Plato, Socrates and many others. I recommend this book to anyone who loves Twilight and would like to know more about the in depth analysis behind the making of the Twilight saga."

Thanks for sharing, Jessica!
