UGO: Sexy Vampire Chicks

From Twilight Lexicon:

UGO has a list of their 50 favorite vampire chicks and every Twilight actress has made the list.

Here’s their write-up of Ashley Greene:

“Alice Cullen

Actress: Ashley Greene

Undead In: The Twilight Saga

As long as you’re going to become an edgy vampire with the uncanny ability to sparkle in the sunlight, you might as well do it with style. Ashley Greene’s spunky coiffed Alice Cullen provides the useful (yet inexplicable) gift of foresight throughout the Twilight Saga, but unfortunately couldn’t tell that Bella was cliff-diving instead of jumping to her death.

Like anyone would be so torn up over Robert Pattinson. But he is dreamy.”

Robert: Did You Notice His Legs in Eclipse?

Twilight series’ 3rd instalment Eclipse has already cast its shadow on the world theatres and most of you (considering you are a Twihard) must have watched the vampire-human love story as a certain Robert Pattinson drunk your blood and sucked you in to the Forks town.

However, newer things keep on tumbling still. Robert has divulged some on-the-run details as he speaks of his running methods in the 3rd flick.

Rob seems a tad embarrassed by his sluggish speed in Twilight and New Moon. So the gritty and committed actor decided to sweat it out on the treadmill and gain some wolf-like strength to sprint across.

He quips, “I had to learn how to run properly. In the last two films, I ran in a limp/skip. I had to run more solidly this time so I spent a lot of time on a giant treadmill. It was like one of those things that mice run around in.”

Ahem…….Ahem….We are sure the Robsessed gals didn’t quite notice if he did gain speed in Eclipse. After all, the ladies are more often drooling over his face with little attention to his legs……

Robert in Minor Car Crash - He's Ok!

Source: Ok! Magazine:

TWILIGHT heartthrob Robert Pattinson had us very worried this weekend after getting himself involved in a car crash.

Twilight Eclipse star Robert Pattinson had a minor crash after leaving a friend's house in Malibu on Saturday night, according to OK! USA.

Eyewitnesses told our US mag that R-Pattz was in a collision with a Kia parked near the driveway at around 9pm.

Luckily everyone's favourite vampire escaped from the incident unscathed.

And even luckier, the owner of the car was a Twilight fan and pretty relaxed about the bump.

He told OK!: “If I had a nice car like a Lexus or something, maybe [I would be concerned], but I’ve got an old Kia.

“I am going to ask Rob next time I see him for free tickets to the next Twilight film."

Robert's Favorite Scene in Eclipse

From Monsters & Critics:

Hunky actor Robert Pattinson's favourite scene in the new Twilight: Eclipse movie is when Bella and Jacob kiss.

Rob, who plays the character Edward Cullen in the vampire movie series, has revealed he enjoyed the part of the film when Edward gets betrayed by his lover Bella as she kisses werewolf Jacob Black.

Actress Kristen Stewart plays Bella and Taylor Lautner takes on the role of Jacob.

And Pattinson feels he can relate to this scene when Stewart and Lautner get together.

R-Patz told Turkey's OK! Magazine: 'There is a scene where Bella kisses Jacob.

'She comes back to ask forgiveness and Edward acts very understanding about this. I think this is a very nice moment.'

The 24–year-old added: 'This is the only scene in the whole series that I can identify with Edward.

'I don't think there are many guys who can do this and for me this scene is a sign that he is a good guy…'

Rob Says "Kristen is a wonderful girl"

But we here at OTC already knew that. Glad he's standing up for her!

From EarSucker.com:

In a new interview, Twilight star Robert Pattinson said that his co-star and rumored girlfriend, Kristen Stewart is a wonderful girl. And he should know!

With some of the bad press surrounding Kristen, he wants to put the focus on her good qualities.

He said, “Kristen and I have lived a great adventure together with the ‘Twilight’ films. We are very close and no one can understand what we’ve gone through together the last few years. When we’re together, we understand each other so well that we don’t have to say a lot to explain what we’re thinking. Kristen is a wonderful girl.”

A Twilight Seduction: What Men Can Learn From Edward

From Twilight Lexicon:

This is a great article on just what it is that is attractive about BOTH movie and book Edward and Jacob.

“The lesson for men of Edward is not how to seduce a woman, but how to get her to want to seduce you (homework to follow). While Jacob tempts Bella with a love that’s “as easy as breathing,” Edward takes her breath away because she loves him more than air, and every kiss and touch leaves her gasping for more. He’s constantly adoring her with contact; taking her face in his hands, brushing his fingers across her cheek, securing a protective arm around her waist, sliding his lips along her jaw.

Instead of exploring their anatomy, they explore the anatomy of a kiss. It’s first base to the umpteenth power, with true love multiplying their every liplock exponentially. The effect on Bella is beyond arousal. Her heart hammers, her skin flushes, her blood, which Edward craves, races in her veins. It’s no wonder romance novels are often referred to as “pornography for women.” Neither one is realistic.

The most sensuous scene in the book, omitted from the film, comes when Edward, returning in the night, awakens Bella, and demonstrates to her the benefits of his newly acquired big bed. Their reunion is comfortably sexy; a couple completely at home in each other, their conversation and every caress infused with a deep affection. You can almost hear the soft words and rhythmic breathing in the dark. But in a gender role reversal it is Edward who will stop Bella before they get “carried away.” “Must I always be the responsible one?” he’ll sigh. (Do vampires take cold showers?) It’s every junior high school girl’s dream: the beautiful, adoring boy who’ll take them anywhere except too far.”

Breaking Dawn Scenes Won't Make Film Rated R

From Zap2It.com:

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" is still in theaters, but its sequel "Breaking Dawn" is causing a lot of discussion on the Internet.

SPOILER WARNING: If you haven't read the book yet, then be aware that the following contains information from the plot that could spoil your experience. Either skip this or prepare to be spoiled.

First of all, having author Stephenie Meyer on board officially as a producer will allay some fans' fears that the movie won't follow the novel faithfully. It's a doozy of a book, with lots of emotionally tricky and intimate scenes, so even Meyer herself wasn't sure it should be adapted for the screen.

"Originally, I was very much on the fence," she tells Twifans. "Maybe we shouldn't make this into a movie, ya know. Some things can't be made into a movie and come across exactly the right way. So it was a big struggle for me to go forward. I didn't want to disappoint people. So I was concerned."

She relaxed a bit once Bill Condon came on board as director, but she still plans on being actively involved in the production.

"Still my plan was and still is to be there every day. And so as the producer, I can do that," she adds. "So it's really a lot about being ... in the room. And it's going to be a lot of upheaval in my life, but I felt like it was important. And then also, it's the last one. So I kinda feel like, I'm going to commit to this for this year, I'll get it done, and then I won't do that again."

She's willing to make compromises as long as it works for the film though. For example, in "Eclipse," Angry Edward (Robert Pattinson) emerged, who was different from Edward in the novel. This bothered her, but once she realized the film fans were eating it up, she let it go.

So obviously the big scenes in "Breaking Dawn" that she'll want to oversee are the love scenes and birth scene, since those have to be done just right. Luckily screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg agrees that she wants these scenes to be just as powerful as they are in the novel.

In an On the Red Carpet interview, Rosenberg discusses those scenes, trying to capture Bella's transformation and where "Breaking Dawn Part I" will leave off before getting picked up in "Part II."

"Wow, she says she wants the love and birth scenes as "scintillating," "erotic" and yes, even "horrifying" as they are in the novel. We're still wondering how this can work out and stay clean, or at least PG-13 clean. Producer Wyck Godfrey rejects the idea that -- sex scenes and birth gore included -- the film would be Rated R.

"I'm unwavering in my belief that these will be PG-13 movies," he tells Fearnet. "And really, I say that not because I know what we're shooting but because I feel that they should be. I feel like the audience of the books and the movies, many of them are under 18; my ten-year-old son goes to these movies, I can't make an R-rated conclusion to the franchise."

Lastly, the question of whether "Breaking Dawn" would be 3D comes up again.

"We have considered it, and everything's being discussed, but I know that part of a way to differentiate the two movies would be to have one be in 2D, and when she becomes a vampire we move into 3D," says Godfrey. "But we haven't really gotten far enough to decide what we're going to do. I'm of two minds of it, frankly, and I think everyone is; I don't want to chase the format if it's not organic and appropriate. If we think it is, we will."

Okay, we're happy that Meyer decided to be a full producer, and are okay with Part II being 3D since that would be fun seeing the new Bella's persepctive.

Taylor on Scene for "Abduction"

Showing off his riding skills, Taylor Lautner was spotted tooling around on a motorcycle on the set of his new flick “Abduction” in Pittsburgh, PA yesterday (July 13).

The “Eclipse” stud looked handsome as he laughed and chatted with his beautiful costar Lily Collins while the paparazzi looked on.

And according to Alfred Molina, another star of the film, working with Taylor Lautner has made him quite popular with the ladies in his life.

Molina told press, "My daughter's been very keen to it. All the [women] who know about it have expressed a certain interest."

Sunday's Box Office Falls Short of Studio Expectations

Don't take these guys to Las Vegas.

The estimates that the Hollywood studios made about this past weekend's box office fell a little short. No, it was more than a little short.

In fact, every single movie in the top 10 ended up generating less revenue than their studios estimated on Sunday.

According to the actual weekend ticket sales compiled by Hollywood.com, the studios overestimated weekend box-office revenue for the top 10 movies by $9 million.

The biggest change was for "Despicable Me." Universal Pictures estimated that its 3-D animated film grossed $60.1 million, but the final total was $56.4 million. Summit Entertainment said "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" would land at $33.4 million, but it came in at $31.7 million. "Predators," the No. 3 movie, ended up $500,000 lower than its estimate at $24.8 million.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the consistent shortfalls. Studios typically use models based on the performance of similar movies during similar times of year in the past to estimate how much their films will gross on Sundays once Friday's and Saturday's ticket sales are compiled.

Such estimates are frequently off by small amounts, but it's rare that every single film in the top 10 is off in the same direction. The World Cup final match, which drew more than 24 million viewers, may have played a role in some of the Sunday declines.

Roberts Talks About Kristen Being a Vampire in BD

From OnTheFlix.com:

Robert Pattinson talks Kristen Stewart as vampire in ‘Breaking Dawn.’ According to Breakingdawnmovie.org, Twilight Saga superstar Robert Pattinson recently gave an interview about the upcoming “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” movie, and revealed that he can’t wait for his co-star Kristen Stewart to become a vampire in the new film because she’s always busting his chops about all the complaining he does on set in regards to the makeup and contact lenses that he has to wear.

He stated, “I like the idea” he says. “I’ve been complaining so much about the makeup and contact lenses, and she’s like, ‘You’re so pathetic, why can’t you get used to it?’ so I can finally be like, ‘Now you know what it’s like. You’re going to be in constant aggravation’, which is great!”
In related news, Kristen recently revealed that she thinks the “Breaking Dawn” sex scenes should be adult, but not vulgar. She said it could be suggestive and sexy without being vulgar. However it has to happen because they’re adults now,and not kids anymore. “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” is scheduled to hit theaters on November 18,2011.

Eclipse Stars Line-Up Before Breaking Dawn

From MTV.com:
With their major promotional duties over, and the record-breaking "Eclipse" in no need of any more star power, it stands to reason that the film's castmembers should be getting ready for some well-deserved rest and relaxation before heading back to work on "Breaking Dawn" in the fall.

That's not the case, however, as many of the popular young actors are very much in demand for film studios and audiences alike at the moment. Here's a look at what the "Eclipse"ters are up to in their "Twilight" downtime.

Taylor Lautner
Taylor Lautner is in Pittsburgh filming "Abduction," alongside Sigourney Weaver and Lily Collins, directed by John Singleton.

"It's a very real action-thriller," Lautner told MTV News at the "Eclipse" premiere in L.A. "[It has a] great story, great cast and I start in, like, three days."

Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson has been shooting the book-to-screen adaptation "Water for Elephants," in which he plays a college dropout who becomes an animal caretaker for a traveling circus in the 1930s. Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz co-star. In addition to cutting his famous shaggy locks for the role, Pattinson told MTV News he's picked up some coordination during filming.

"I've become a little less mal-coordinated in the last couple years," he said. "[The film has] quite a few active bits. I'm pulling around horses and stuff, and I was like, 'When have I suddenly become capable?' "

Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart will be busy with "On the Road," co-starring "Tron: Legacy" star Garret Hedlund. Stewart recently told MTV News that she's excited to work with Hedlund. "I've met him a bunch of times and hung out with him twice. He's a great guy," she said. "He's written crazy stuff for it. He's so in character right now. He's driving to Montreal [for filming]. He's awesome. I'm really excited."

Anna Kendrick
Acclaimed "Up in the Air" star Anna Kendrick (a.k.a. Jessica) next appears in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and an untitled Seth Rogen comedy, but a role Kendrick is dying for is a part in the upcoming "Hobbit," which she revealed to MTV News at the "Eclipse" premiere.

"Believe me, I spend many nights wondering that," Kendrick said when asked if there might be a role in the upcoming Tolkien adaptation. "This is officially my feeler!"

Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz
Other busy bees include Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz. Greene will appear in "Apparition" opposite Sebastian Stan and Tom Felton, recently wrapped "Butter" with Jennifer Garner and Hugh Jackman, and also has the action/sport film "Warrior" on her slate, opposite her "Twilight" sibling. Lutz, in addition to "Warrior," is off kicking butt in Tarsem Singh's Greek gods-centric epic "Immortals," opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Freida Pinto, Isabel Lucas and Mickey Rourke

Dakota's uses for Jane Cardboard Cutout

From HollywoodCrush.mtv.com:

It's not quite so weird that the majority of the cast of "The Twilight Saga" have cardboard cutouts designed after them (a new version for each film, we might add), but what's weird is what the fans do with them. But the real question is: when you're an actor with a cutout made of you, how do you use it to your benefit?

Such is the predicament that faces Dakota Fanning, who admits that she has a Jane cutout currently residing in her house. Apparently, at the moment, it's her dad who is playing the most tricks against the family with Dakota's goth vampire likeness.

"Sometimes my dad puts it out and you go downstairs in the middle of the night for some water or something and you're like, oh my god, who is this person?" Dakota said with a laugh. "For the first month we had it, it scared everyone."

Dakota, who was paired in the interview with Xavier Samuel and Bryce Dallas Howard, clearly hasn't been thinking of the most obvious ways to abuse having a 2-D doppelganger in her house.

Xavier suggested that she put it at her desk so she can pretend she's studying, while Bryce said she should put it under the covers in her bed so she can sneak out at night.

Kristen Won't Wear A Wig in Breaking Dawn

From HollywoodCrush.mtv.com: We'll admit, we were one of many who jumped in on the bashing-of-Kristen-Stewart's-wig-in-"Eclipse" bandwagon, but hey, it didn't look that great! After seeing the movie, it wasn't as bad as we were anticipating, but there were still come scenes in the film that it looked pretty obvious.

After rounds and rounds and rounds of interviews, someone (very unlikely, might we add) finally asked her about WigGate: George Lopez. We're guessing Kristen's dad, who works for the show, prompted the question, but still, we're glad someone had the guts to speak up.

"Is it widely known that, in 'Eclipse,' that you were wearing a wig?" George innocently asked Kristen, and she laughingly answered "yeah" just as the audience members started yelling out, "Yesssss!"

We all know she needed to wear the wig because she cut her hair for "The Runaways" (Bella's hair in "Twilight" and "New Moon" was au natural), but what we didn't know was just how badly Summit wanted her to not shop her locks.

"They're going to hate me for this, but they offered me lots of ridiculous... many ridiculous things to not do that," she said.

"Besides money?" George asked, a little astonished. "Uh, no," Kristen answered with a laugh.

She continued, "I completely understand, I just thought we'd have a better... wig, and, uh, it's OK, we worked it out, and hopefully, hopefully, hopefully it's OK now."

So maybe we weren't completely off when we suggested that she wore the same wig Taylor Lautner wore in "Twilight"?

Still, rest easy, because Kristen was quick to announce that "I'm not going to have a wig in the next one [we think she means both parts of 'Breaking Dawn'], I'm just going to have my own [hair]."

Stephenie Wants Breaking Dawn Birth Scene to be "Awful"

From MTV.com:

While Stephenie Meyer's favorite scene in "Eclipse" was very much on par with that of her "Twilight" fans (the "tent scene"), she might stand alone with her favorite scene in "Breaking Dawn," which creeped out a lot of her devoted fans.

When MTV News chatted with the best-selling author at the Los Angeles premiere of "Eclipse" last week, Meyer revealed that she is most excited to see the very descriptive and messy "birth scene" on the big screen.

"I'd love to have the birth scene be every bit as awful — I know it freaked people out, but for those of us who have been through childbirth a couple times, it is a scary, terrifying experience," she said. "This is just taking that to an exponential power, and I love going there."

By Meyer's estimation, another challenging scene for "Dawn" director Bill Condon and company to tackle in their upcoming two films will be the infamous and also fairly controversial/creepy werewolf imprinting. "The imprinting thing, how do you have that come across?" Meyer wondered about Jacob's relationship with Bella and Edward's baby, Renesmee. "How do you make it clear what's going on inside someone that way? It's a challenge. I think Bill might be up to it, though. He's really smart and on top of it."

Meyer wouldn't reveal what she and Condon have discussed for each film specifically, of course, only that she is very happy with his work thus far. "I love his ideas so far," she said. "He's had some good ones."

Eclipse Box Office News

From Hollywoodreporter.com:

Summit Entertainment's "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" has failed to eclipse an opening-day domestic boxoffice record set by franchise predecessor "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."

"Eclipse" rung up $68.5 million in Wednesday coin. That set a new record for first-day boxoffice on a Wednesday, featuring more than $30 million in grosses from 4,416 theaters programming the vampire-romance threequel for midnight Tuesday performances.

But "New Moon" rose to $72.7 million during its first day in release on Friday, Nov. 21, part of a $142.8 million first weekend for the first sequel and its $296.6 million domestic run. So "Eclipse" fell $4.2 million short of matching that for "New Moon."

"Eclipse" is expected to ring up more than $150 million through Monday and easily top boxoffice rankings during the four-day Independence Day weekend.
