Offical New Moon Soundtrack

From Hollywoodcrush.MTV.com:

It came a few days later than we anticipated, but the full "New Moon" soundtrack list has finally been revealed! Let's get to the bloody goodness straight away, with the complete rundown courtesy of StephenieMeyer.com:

Death Cab for Cutie—"Meet Me On The Equinox"
Band of Skulls—"Friends"
Thom Yorke—"Hearing Damage"
Lykke Li—"Possibility"
The Killers—"A White Demon Love Song"
Anya Marina—"Satellite Heart"
Muse—"I Belong To You ('New Moon' Remix)"
Bon Iver & St. Vincent—"Roslyn"
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club—"Done All Wrong"
Hurricane Bells—"Monsters"
Sea Wolf—"The Violet Hour"
OK Go—"Shooting the Moon"
Grizzly Bear—"Slow Life"
Editors—"No Sound But the Wind"
Alexandre Desplat—"New Moon (The Meadow)"

The 15-track album, comprised solely of "original and exclusive" songs, appears slightly longer than its "Twilight" predecessor and includes one repeat performer—Muse—whose "Supermassive Black Hole" opened the first soundtrack and was the backdrop to the famous baseball scene.

As expected, Band of Skulls, Thom Yorke and Bon Iver will also be contributing to the Saga CD, though there are a few notable exclusions from the list. "New Moon" cast favorite Kings of Leon (you may recall it was at one of the indie bands' concerts that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were caught sharing a moment), were once rumored contenders for the soundtrack, while Stephenie Meyer favorite Blue October, whose heartfelt songs (especially "Hate Me") seem to have been written by Edward Cullen himself, will also (sadly) not appear on the LP.

The soundtrack, which drops October 20, is available for pre-order on Amazon.com.

Jackson Slightly Injured While Filming 'Eclipse'

Jackson suffered a slight injury last Thursday on the set of Eclipse, but he's now back at work and doing fine. Here's the article from EOnline:

You can't keep a good vampire down. Come to think of it, you can't exactly keep a bad vampire down, either.

Jasper Hale Jackson Rathbone was taken to a Vancouver-area hospital yesterday after suffering a slight and unidentified injury while rehearsing a fight scene for the dark and battle-heavy Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

A spokesperson for Summit confirmed the not-quite near-death incident.

"As a precaution, he was driven to the hospital and checked out by a doctor. He's fine and is back at work on the set of Eclipse today."

And possibly a little paler than usual—which really is more of a character enhancement than anything.

Still, while Rathbone may not be immortal, his health hiccup won't be slowing him down anytime soon, at least according to fellow onscreen vamp Ashley Greene.

"Just got off set," she tweeted yesterday. "Jackson seems like he's ok thank God…can't believe he came to work today! He's a trooper :)"

Michael Sheen on Shooting 'New Moon'

Michael Sheen, the actor behind New Moon's Volturi vampire Aro, recently spoke to iesb.net about his role in The Twilight Saga. When asked about shooting his scenes in Italy, he said:

I would love to share my favorite experiences about Italy. Unfortunately, I can't because I didn't shoot any of it in Italy. The problem with doing interiors is that interiors can be filmed anywhere. So, next time, I'll have it in my contract that I have to do at least one exterior, in any film I do. My favorite experience about Italy was getting a text from Chris Weitz saying, "It's lovely here, isn't it?"

On the subject of being one of the older cast members on set, he politely sang the praises of his co-stars.

I think it's a good job that I was playing a millennia-old vampire because that's exactly how it felt to be on a set with people as beautiful as Robert [Pattinson], Kristen [Stewart], and Ashley [Greene], and all that lot. I felt like the old, decrepit uncle who's just hanging around, trying to get in with the cool kids. But, that helped with the character, so it was fun.

Good answer, Mr. Sheen — there's no way you, or anyone, can compete with teen king Robert Pattinson. We're not sure exactly how long his reign will last, but we're betting he's got a few years left in him yet.

Ashley Originally Auditioned For Bella

From The Deadbolt News:

Although today's Twilight Saga report could have easily read, "Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene deny romance outside of the Twilight Saga," the Twilight truth is that Ashley Greene who plays Alice Cullen in the Twilight Saga almost beat out Kristen Stewart for the Twilight role of Bella Swan.

In a recent Twilight interview with Saturday Night Magazine, Twilight and New Moon actress Ashley Greene reveals how all things in her Twilight Saga life would be different if she landed the Twilight and New Moon role of Bella Swan instead of Kristen Stewart.

In the Twilight interview for the October issue of Saturday Night, Ashley Greene reveals that after getting Twilight denied for Bella Swan, Greene landed Alice Cullen instead and has since become close to her Twilight co-stars, especially on New Moon. "With the second one, it was more intimate as far as the amount of people involved," Greene revealed to Saturday Night. "After the first week or two of production, it was just me, Kristen [Stewart], Rob [Pattinson] and Taylor [Lautner] and then Rachelle [Lefevre] was there for a little bit. Taylor's super, super sweet, and Jackson [Rathbone], I adore. I love them all."

In terms of Twilight Saga fame as Alice Cullen, Ashley Greene admits that had she landed Bella Swan her Twilight life would've changed dramatically and that Greene would be under the intense new moon of the Twilight spotlight like Twilight star Robert Pattinson. "I applaud him. [The fans] love him so much and I know they don’t want to hurt him, but people just don’t realize that when they’re that many people coming with a force, it can be very dangerous sometimes."

We're dying to know your Twilight opinion? Would Ashley Greene have made a better Bella Swan?

We love Ashley as Alice, but we want to know, too ~ Would Ashley have made a better Bella than Kristen?

Taylor says, "I don't think I should be embarrassed to admit it though — it's a great movie. I'm not embarrassed. I'm saying it proudly."

Chon Talks Eclipse

E! Online interviewed Justin Chon recently, and Justin talked about the direction David Slade is taking Eclipse and the improved security on set (So much for me crashing the set afterall. Bummer!). Check out what Justin said below:

Get ready for darkness.

Twilight star Justin Chon tells me that director David Slade’s Eclipse isn’t exactly taking his lead from Catherine Hardwick or Chris Weitz.

“He’s done pretty dark films so that’s where I see [Eclipse] really gravitating towards—more of a dark kind of moody film,” Chon said yesterday at BAFTA’s pre-Emmy tea party. “Just shooting the scenes that I’m in, the mood is definitely different.”
“David is very set on how he wants this movie to be portrayed,” Chon said. “It’s a lot more refined and maybe not as loose as the last two—at least for us humans. I can only imagine what he’s doing with everyone else.”
“Security has been increased a lot,” Chon said. “They’re a lot more protective…If Rob was to go out in public without anybody, I think it could be pretty dangerous.”
Even so, Pattz is dealing with the attention well. “It takes him a lot more time to get in and out of places,” Chon said. “But he doesn’t get angry. He’s handling things great.”

SNL Wants Rob!

E! Online caught up with some of the cast members from Saturday Night Live on the red carpet for the Emmy Awards. The main goal of the reporters? To get Rob Pattinson a spot hosting SNL this season.

The Funny Three—that would be Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig—all want a piece of Robert Pattinson. But really, who doesn’t?
On the red carpet for the Primetime Emmy Awards, we fiercely kicked off our campaign to get Rob a hosting spot on Saturday Night Live.
He could be next year’s Justin Timberlake, you follow? Well, according to the SNL crew, they want R.Pattz, too:
We know you’re kicking off the season with Megan Fox, but how about getting Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson on to host?Seth Meyers: We would love to get Robert Pattinson. How dare you tell me he’s the hot guy from Twilight, like I don’t already know!
Seth Meyers, closet Twilight, or maybe just Rob Pattinson fan. We love it! So the powers that be at SNL would be into Rob hosting?
S.M.: Yes, absolutely.
Think of all the ridiculous skits you could do with him. The possibilities are endless! That hair…S.M.: We’re actually hoping if [Rob’s] not available, at least his hair will come by and host.
If you all didn’t already heart the adorable Seth Meyers, bet you Twi lovers do now! Kristen Wiig is totally into the idea too.
We’re campaigning for Rob to host SNL this season. Will it happen?
Kristen Wiig: Oh! I don’t know. I don’t know about that yet!
Would you give him the A-OK?
K.W.: Oh yeah, he’d be great!
Two down…one more to go. Andy Samberg, whom we just want to snuggle, was busy making his way inside, but not before giving Rob the thumbs-up. Literally. When we asked A.S. real fast if he thought Pattinson would be able to hold his own on SNL, Andy gave the thumbs-up, nodded his head and mouthed, yessss.

Ed Gathegi Talks About His "Scary" Role

RadarOnline had this to report:
***There was something frightening about Laurent in Twilight, and as the premier of New Moon approaches RadarOnline.com spoke exclusively with the man who plays him, Edi Gathegi, at the Suite Life: Skybar Emmy Suite on Thursday in Los Angeles and learned more about the seemingly menacing man. However, without his dreadlocks wig and red eyes, Gathegi is less intimidating in real life and actually pretty funny. He told us he accomplished his ultimate goal in New Moon – scaring Stephenie Meyer!

Radar: It is almost two months until the opening of New Moon!
Gathegi: Whoa, it is creeping upon us.

Radar: What was filming New Moon like?
Gathegi: There weren’t that many people on set this time. My big scene was with Bella. It wasn’t like the same crazy, everybody’s around dinner situation. It was still wonderful; it was nice to be able to sink my teeth into my character a little more. I think it’s going to be really great.

Radar: How scary is your scene?
Gathegi: Let’s just put it this way. I told Stephenie Meyer that my goal would be to scare every 14 year-old girl, and she looked at me and said “Edi, you’re so sweet and you have such a little baby face, no one is going to be scared of you at all.” Then she saw the movie and the dailies said, “OK Edi, you scared me!” And I said “That means a lot coming from you,” especially since she told me I wasn’t even going to be able to BE scary!... ***

Ashley: Eclipse More Guy-Friendly

"Twilight" star Ashley Greene told us last week that she's been getting battered and bruised on the set of "Eclipse." Whose fault is that? Well, other than author Stephenie Meyer, who wrote some scary fight scenes into her novel, all the abuse Greene and her co-stars have been taking is thanks to director David Slade.

Although her work with the "30 Days of Night" and "Hard Candy" filmmaker had just begun, Greene said she's excited about the vision he has for "Eclipse."

"He's been really good," she told MTV News last week. "I've sat down and spoken to him and broken down the script a little bit. I definitely like his take on it. I think it's going to be good."

Just as co-star Taylor Lautner told MTV News on Sunday, Greene said Slade's taking the third "Twilight" film in a darker direction. "I think it'll be different," Greene said. "He's ... a little more focused on it being real and maybe it being gorier and a little dark and kind of dramatic."

Like the novel, which builds up to a climactic battle of vampires and werewolves, Greene said "Eclipse" has a lot more action than the first film and might appeal to more than just screaming teen girls. "The first one was very focused on this love story and really sweet and it was beautiful, but it didn't have a lot of stuff that guys would go, 'Yeah, I want to go see that,' " she said. "There's going to be a lot more focus on [action], and the fight scene will have more emphasis on it. I definitely think it will be a little more guy-friendly."

But that also means this movie is a little harder on its cast. "Going into [a movie], I've never had to work so hard with stunt training and personal training and stuff like that," Greene said.

Taylor: Robert Doesn't Need Workout Advice

From MTV.com:

On Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, many, many, many things went down. Kanye West went on a tirade during Taylor Swift's Best Female Video acceptance speech. Lady Gaga got bloody during her performance of "Paparazzi." And, oh yeah, the extended trailer for "New Moon" made its big debut, and Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were on hand to premiere it.

Before Lautner headed into the show though, he stopped to speak to MTV News about the trailer, which features him shirtless much of the time.

"I think they might start crying," he guessed about what he thought might be the fans' reaction to seeing him as werewolf Jacob Black running around with his wolf pack.

But Lautner isn't the only one Twilighters got an eyeful of in the trailer — Robert Pattinson also appears sans shirt. And Lautner insists that if the two were to compete in some kind of shirt-off, the competition would be stiff. "I don't know [who would win]. Rob, he's getting some muscle," he explained. "There's some good competition."

Lautner famously had to pack on the muscle to reprise his role as Jacob. So we wondered if Pattinson has been seeking advice from him on how to bulk up. "No, he definitely doesn't need any pointers at all," Lautner joked. "He's got it covered."

In addition to talking about all things "New Moon" trailer, Lautner opened up about what it's been like on-set for the movie's sequel, "Eclipse." "Yes it's a lot of fun," he said. "I think we're, like, a month in, so it's exciting to be back with our new director David Slade and back with the whole team again."

Slade is the third director to helm a "Twilight" flick, and Lautner admits that he's got a whole new dark take on the saga. "It's been good. He's a lot different, but I think he's going to add a cool taste to the movie," he explained. "It might be a little darker."

And Lautner thinks Slade will take the action in this flick, which involves a lot of battling, to the next step. "I feel like the action level is stepping up each and every film. 'New Moon' definitely has a lot more [action] than 'Twilight,' and I feel like Eclipse is bumping it up another level," the actor said.

Sure, Lautner is cool with the films going in that direction. But he's not so cool with the fact that he doesn't get to partake in that action as much as he would like in "Eclipse." "We're at war the whole time or most of the time. I think it's going to be pretty good but it's a bummer 'cause I'm a wolf the whole time, so it's not actually me getting to do my action. ... But you'll be able to see the cute fuzzy wolf."

And what does he think of that wolf? Well, that jury of one is still out. "I'm not sure yet! I think I've got to watch it a couple more times," he joked.

Meet Kristen's Wig

So yes, Kristen Stewart will be wearing a wig for the third installment of the Twilight Saga, also known as Eclipse. We previously posted about it last week, but didn't have actual photos of it yet. So we now introduce to you, The Wig.
Thanks to her role in "The Runaways", Kristen Stewart lost most of her lovely locks. :( So what do you think of the new do? I've heard both good and bad comments about it. I'm on the fence personally. I think for a wig it looks pretty good, but I can't say that I don't notice it. It's definitely noticeable. Go to RadarOnline to see more.

Twilight in Forks

MTV has the latest about the documentary Twilight In Forks, including their special screening in Forks this upcoming weekend:

"We're pleased to announce that we're doing a sneak peek of our film 'Twilight in Forks' in Forks itself at Forks High School on Stephenie Meyer Day — which coincides with Bella's birthday — in the city of Forks," producer York Baur exlpained. "Last year, there were over a thousand fans that came to town for Stephenie Meyer Day, and we expect — given that there have already been 16,000 people that came to Forks just in the month of July alone — that there might be a pretty good turnout for Stephenie Meyer Day, and hopefully for our sneak peek." The small logging town, whose population hovers around a mere 3,000 people, has become a Disneyland for Twilighters ever since Meyer selected it as the hometown for such characters as Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black. Continuing to embrace its newfound notoriety, the town will host Stephenie Meyer Day 2009 on Saturday and Sunday, and it seems only appropriate that a film about the book series' relationship with Forks would host its first screening of select footage there on a first-come, first-serve basis Saturday at the very real Forks High. And to give fans another little taste of what they'll see this weekend — or next month in their home — Baur and director Jason Brown brought along another teaser trailer to unveil with their announcement. "This will give you a little taste of some of the actual real people of Forks," Brown explained. "And what their impression of vampires and werewolves are in and around the town." One of the filmmaker's favorite locals was a gentleman who is helping to keep the region's logging community alive — and is far from your typical "Twilight" fan. "There's a fellow that works in a mill there," Brown explained. "Forks has a big logging community and with Shake Mill, where this fellow works, he has spent some time in the woods as a logger. So, we asked him about vampires and werewolves and we talked about recent Forks High School graduates." "You'll get three categories," Bauer said of the nature of their film, looking forward to unveiling much of it this weekend for the first time. "You get a sense of the beauty of Forks, you get a sense of some of the fantasy that has pervaded reality, and then of course you get the reality."
Read the entire article here. I love the music to these trailers. I really hope the music is in the documentary, it makes me want to watch it. Are you going to watch the documentary Twilight In Forks? ...

Robert Pattinson Fears Fame

From IndianExpress.com:

Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattison believes that sudden fame is making him paranoid an ruining his life.

The 23-year-old British hunk has become a heartthrob with his role as the lovelorn vampire Edward Cullen in the romantic flick 'Twilight'.

Pattinson, named 'Sexiest Man Alive', is constantly trailed by paparazzi photographers and hoards of screaming fans wherever he goes.

He was recently hit by a taxi in New York while trying to escape some overzealous fans, Contactmusic reported.

"I have to look over my shoulder all the time, be super vigilant because, at any moment, someone could be filming or recording what I'm saying," said Pattinson.

Pattinson admits that he is finding it difficult to cope with his strange new life.

"I haven't found one place in the world yet where I could disappear. Even the most remote places I can imagine, someone will ask me for a picture with them or an autograph.

Robert, Kristen & Taylor to Debut Expanded NM Trailer at VMAs

MTV.com:

Are you sitting down, Twilighters? I've got some big news. If you've been craving more "New Moon" footage before the movie's November premiere, you're gonna want to hear this. Stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be on hand at the MTV Video Music Awards September 13 to premiere an exclusive, expanded trailer for "New Moon." SQUEEEEEAL!

We got our first look at the second chapter of Stephenie Meyer's vampire love story during last May's MTV Movie Awards and got an eyeful of Taylor in the "Meet Jacob Black" trailer that debuted a few months later. While I have no inside scoop on what this new trailer holds, I have compiled my own personal wish list.

First, I want more Volturi. We've seen a few fleeting glimpses of Jane (a.k.a. Dakota Fanning) on screen, but we only have stills to judge her Volterra cohorts by. I want to see them in all their diabolical glory!

Second is the Wolf Pack. Yes, we did see them in the "Meet Jacob Black" trailer, but after attending the official "Twilight" convention in New Jersey this past weekend and being treated to a panel with Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz and Kiowa Gordon, I'm eager to see more of the playful trio. And finally, how about more of Bella's CGI cliff dive?

If this announcement isn't enough "Twilight" news to get you excited for VMA Sunday, then don't forget that on that same day, MTV.com will also debut the first single off the "New Moon" soundtrack, Death Cab for Cutie's "Meet Me on the Equinox."

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards will take place September 13 at 9 p.m. ET

Taylor.....

Taylor Lautner’s career in film began with his martial arts instructors’ convincing words that persuaded him to audition for screen roles in various film productions. Lautner, nor his instructor, anticipated the resulting Hollywood status that portraying various characters in movies would one day bring him, the role of one of the most beloved characters of “Twilights” franchise tag.

Lautner, native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, remains humbled by his new stardom in the “Twilight” franchise stating in an interview with Teen Vogue, "I think the fans would love anybody who played Jacob. I'm just lucky to be the one who got the chance." Lucky is hardly the word to describe an actor so convicted to holding a role and portraying the role to the fans vision that Lautner worked out rigorously for months.

Taylor Lautner’s workout regime consisted of 6 days a week, 2 hours a day of exhausting physical training. The training rewarded Lautner with the opportunity to continue in the film franchise, winning back the role that he had been told he was going to lose to recasting of the part. Lautner added 30 pounds of muscle mass to his frame, embodying the Stephenie Meyer character’s size and strength.

The paparazzi have focused intently on “Twilight” cast members, a fact that has not eluded Taylor Lautner, recently focusing on his relationship with Disney Channel actress Selena Gomez. Lautner remained humbled when asked about Gomez responding, "She's a great girl,” refusing to elaborate anymore information.

The days of extreme martial arts championships may be long behind Taylor Lautner’s career, but the lessons learned during his training in regard to composure and discipline remain relevant to his life.

Is Kristen "Wiggin" Out in Eclipse?

From Examiner.com:

These things matter, you know. When you are a huge fan of a book series, like The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, and that series is being made steadily into films, one by one, then a franchise, and then grows into a worldwide phenomenon--well, small details matter to the fans. So it is with the transition actor Kristen Stewart has made from the hairdo she took on for her role as Joan Jett in The Runaways that she filmed this summer vs. what she has been seen photographed wearing on the set for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Many fans are not so hot for the new locks.

Ms. Stewart's role in The Runaways required black hair in a distinctive, severe cut to match rocker chick, Joan Jett's hair of the period (and even now). This "do" does not match the long, soft brown locks of "Bella Swan," the police chief's daughter from Forks, Washington. What's a hair stylist and actor to do? They may have tried several things, but one attempt that has made the Internet of late in set photos is clearly a wig, and fans are revolting. They don't like it. It looks fake, they say, and it does not look like Bella. Fan sites are discussing the ins and outs of this (not leaving out the comparison to Taylor Lautner's wig as young Jacob Black that he wore in the first Twilight film--many didn't like that, either). They are tweeting the studio, maybe even emailing, their objections. One fansite has even "Photoshopped" the problem area where the wig and forehead meet, softening it to make it look more 'natural.' It asks other fans whether they prefer the "before" or the "after" image.

Do film studios so closely in tune with a book series' fanbase listen to complaints such as this? Would they actually go back to Ms. Stewart's stylist and echo what the fans are saying, "Um, the wig? It isn't working." With costly reshoots and CGI or other technical fix possibilities, it's hard to say.

Maybe future set photos will reveal the answer. In the meantime, the studio can be sure that Twilight's loyal fans will continue to voice their opinions about their work in progress.

What do you think??
