From Zap2it.com:
Twihards, the end is near. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" could begin production in the fall.
Christian Serratos, who plays Bella's friend Angela in the films, accidentally revealed the info to the Melbourne Herald Sun on Monday (April 26).
She and co-stars Gil Birmingham, Booboo Stewart (who play werewolves Billy Black and Seth Clearwater) and Daniel Cudmore (who plays vampire guard Felix) were in Australia to attend the "Twilight" convention at Melbourne University the day before when they were asked if they knew "Breaking Dawn's" start date.
Stewart had initially replied "No word is out yet," when Serratos interrupted, saying, "No, October."
Oops.
Birmingham tried for some damage control, adding, "We could tell you, but we'd have to kill you -- like we will Christian."
A poor human up against two werewolves and a vampire? We don't envy her!
So far, that's the most we've heard on "Breaking Dawn." It's still not clear who the director will be or if the film will be broken into two parts.

Eclipse Trailers Combined: Nearly 3 full minutes!
From Gather.com:
By now, you've probably had a chance to view the full Twilight Eclipse movie trailer revealed on last Friday's Oprah. Now check out the extended Eclipse trailer created by a Twilight fan on YouTube. It includes the original short trailer and the latest full trailer combined. The result? It all runs together very smoothly! If you'd never seen either one, you wouldn't realize they've been mashed together. There's nothing new here, but who doesn't want an excuse to watch Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen for a longer period of time?
There's an interesting contract between the two trailers. The beginning (the original) focuses on romance, angst and tensions between Edward and Jacob. The second trailer though (the full one), transitions to scenes of danger, and vampire and werewolf rivals teaming up to fight the real bad guys.

'Eclipse' Edward to Look More Like Teenager
By Kim Palacios with Hollywoodnews.com:
HollywoodNews.com: Nobody complained about the now-famous gray pea coat Edward sported in “Twilight”, nor did they grumble over his fitted casual long-sleeved jerseys, light blue button-downs, or black wayfarers. “New Moon” was a different story—the birthday party and forest scenes found him in something that looked like tweed—reminding us all that Edward’s tastes may be less aligned with those of a 17-year-old teenager than with those of a vampire whose age is 109.
Part of the fan reaction to Edward’s wardrobe in “New Moon” (aside from the fact that it didn’t flatter Robert Pattinson’s physique, as the wardrobe largely had in “Twilight) was sentiment that Stephenie Meyer had not written his character to dress so “old”. Even Carlisle, who can be considered older than Edward in every sense of the word, looks more contemporary than Edward in every scene of “New Moon”.
Yet, a recent set of new photos have sparked new hope for fans of Robert Pattinson and fans of the Twilight Saga. The photos show Edward in a fitted denim jacket, a light gray v-neck t-shirt, and contemporary jeans. And it’s not just the official photos—promotional videos including both trailers seem to confirm the conclusion that the Edward in “Eclipse” will look a little bit more like a teen.
But, be warned not to expect too much. The trailers still show a few places where the wardrobe slips. In particular, a certain plaid shirt + gray textured jacket combo misses the mark. (At least it’s better than tweed.)

First Image of Jodelle Ferland as a Vamp
From Twilight Lexicon:
I was looking at the list of celebrities on tap for the Official Twilight Convention in Vancouver that is coming up on May 14-16 and found that Jodelle Ferland, who hasn’t yet attended a Twilight convention, has been added to the appearance schedule. But what is even more exciting is that Creation Entertainment is running a photo of Jodelle that we at the Lexicon have never seen before – and trust us when we say that we’ve seen just about everything! Since Creation Entertainment is running the photo, and given that her eyes are red, we have to assume that this is a publicity shot of Jodelle as Bree.
Stylistically, this shot is very similar to that of the other vampires. We’re curious, though, as to what Jodelle is wearing around her neck! We hope that in days to come the full image will be available and we can see her necklace in full. Perhaps the necklace will have meaning to the character of Bree and is something that will be mentioned in The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.

Nordstrom Continues Twilight Line
Nordstrom jumped on the Twilight apparel craze in time for New Moon, and they are apparently sticking with it for Eclipse. According to Styleite:
“Starting on May 15th and in honor of the third installment of the Twilight series, Nordstrom’s will once again sell exclusive clothing inspired by the ladies of the series. According to WWD, “lace trim tops, miniskirts, striped and floral dresses, skinny jeans, cardigans and a plaid jacket” will go on sale, all quoting Bella and Alice’s style.
The collection, which will range from from $30 to $58, marks the department store’s second time teaming up with Summit Entertainment and Awake Inc. to cash in on the Twilight-craze.
And for those of you who feel wearing a Bella-style tee shirt isn’t enough to express your Twi-love, Nordstrom’s will also be selling life-size cardboard cutouts of the main characters for $33.”

Robert Claims Fame Hasn't Changed Him
From Examiner.com:
Showbizspy has reported that Robert Pattinson says he believes he has stayed fairly normal during his acting career. The Twilight saga star says he thinks he is pretty "down to earth" and could never act like a star.
The sexy vampire says he doesn't make crazy demands but he does insist on have a driver. He says he is a terrible driver a refuses to do it.
"I love throwing things around in my hotel room haha," Robert joked. "No, seriously, I think I've stayed pretty normal, I am much to down to earth to make crazy demands. Well, except for a private chauffeur, but that is only because I am a disaster on the road and others even forbid me to drive."
Rob commented on his fame. Saying it is "a bit overwhelming" being the most wanted man in Hollywood.
"At this moment it is too much, everywhere I go, girls are screaming or fainting," Pattinson said. "I don't understand why, because I am a normal guy who is not at all doing his best to be noticed. And really; I'm not as sexy as Brad Pitt?"
As we all know there are many rumors about Rob and his co-star Kristen. One of the most recent rumors are the engagement ones. Robert also made comments about this subject.
"This engagement thing is total bull(crap), I don't even know where it comes from," he said earlier this month. "Kristen is my friend, I really like to work with her. She's more mature than her age, a real professional, I couldn't wish a better partner, because she makes my every move, every sentence authentic.
"A big franchise like Twilight is a scary thing, because it put me on the map and I'll have it for my whole life. So it's important to get along with my partner, and Kristen is the perfect partner. She sets the bar high, so I must deliver too.
"My only weapon for self-defense is to not care about the rumors. I concentrate on my work and on the positive sides of fame. You can't even imagine how big it is that I don't have to go to castings anymore. They are the worst. Especially when you don't get the job in the end. Now I have lots of people around me, looking out for me, asking me if the script is ok with me. People say hi to me, smile at me on the street, come up to me to shake my hand. Lots of people stop me just to congratulate. That's when I realize that there are so many good, nice, normal people. And they are the majority."

Smokin' Kellan in Interview Magazine
From EclipseMovie.org:
Kellan Lutz (aka Emmett Cullen) is featured in the upcoming Interview Magazine. Kellan talked with Mark Jacobs about his dogs, working on the farm in Iowa, acting and running shirtless.
MARK JACOBS: Hi, Kellan? Where are you right now?
KELLAN LUTZ: I am in my backyard in L.A. hanging out with my two dogs.
JACOBS: Who are your dogs?
LUTZ: Kola is a shepherd-husky mix I adopted from the Compton animal shelter. Kevin is the newest, most adorable member of our family. He’s a Chihuahua. I found him on the street when I came back from one of my trips.
JACOBS: You spent time on a dairy farm in Iowa while you were growing up?
LUTZ: Iowa is where the big farm was, where my grandparents lived. After my parents divorced, we would visit them. My mom would send me out to the pigpen, where we had these huge, huge pigs. I would stand there for six hours holding a hose, watering pigs. They’d dive in the mud and shake it off, and I’d go home covered in it. I loved the whole thing of getting wet and dirty and then getting in a warm bath.
JACOBS: You also have experience spraying crops and building silos. Are you aware of how this story reads in New York and L.A.? Anything involving uncontrived hard labor is irresistible to the style industry.
LUTZ: I’d rather do manual labor than sit behind a desk. And as my grandparents got older, I’d fly out there and help out around the farm. We’d tear barns down; we’d build barns. I’d rather be outside rolling hay or driving the tractors.

Summit Assures Fans 'Eclipse' Reshoots are Planned
From All Headline News:
Reshoots on “Eclipse” are normal, Summit Entertainment assures worried fans. The film studio insists that the third “Twilight” film is running on schedule.
Rumors are suggesting that film bosses are disappointed with director David Slade so they decided to reshoot some scenes for the film.
But a company rep insisted that they are happy with the helmer and that everything is fine.
The spokesperson said, “They are not technically reshoots but rather ‘pickup shots.’ They have been planned for several movies and are normal in the filmmaking process. They are not shooting anything regarding meadow or action scenes.”
“The studio is very happy with Slade and some internally think this film could very well be the best of the three.”
It wasn’t revealed when the “pickup shots” will be filmed but it is expected to be in Vancouver where the rest of the shoots were taken.

'Twilight' Books Challenged by ALA as Too Sexual
From Examiner.com:
‘The Twilight Saga’ movies are based off of the bestselling books by Stephanie Meyer and once again they are under attack. The American Library Association has released its annual report of “challenged” books and the ‘Twilight’ books have been ranked at number 5.
The Associated Press states that the books have been criticized for sexual content; and a library association official also thinks that the "Twilight" series reflects general unease about supernatural stories. The ALA defines a challenge as a "formal, written complaint filed with a library or school requesting that materials be removed because of content or appropriateness."
These challenges generally come from parents and teachers who are dissatisfied by the books being in schools. First, I have to say, what books are they reading? Sexual content? Are you joking? Most people complain because the books are too chaste, as are the movies. But that is the beauty of the love story in ‘Twilight’- it’s more about soulmates and true love and less about sex. Even the honeymoon scene in ‘Breaking Dawn’ is a barely there moment and so I don’t understand the complaints in regards to sexual content.
The Supernatural complaints are understandable on a base level, especially seeing how crazy some young people get over the ‘Twilight’ books; asking people to bite them and hoping to meet a stalkerish vampire or werewolf. But really how many books contain such themes? And at least the books are written in English, if you have ever read any Captain Underpants or Junie B. Jones books, you will know that they are a greater risk to young readers.
The challenges are unlikely to stop students from reading the books and will not stop fans from seeing the movie. If anything this is just more free press for Stephanie Meyer, ‘Twilight’ and the upcoming ‘Eclipse’ movie.

Billy Burke's New Website Goes Live!
From Twilight Lexicon:
Billy Burke tweeted the other day about having a new website and seeing if he could promote a music project by not going through the (frankly in our opinion antiquated) record label system. Well, by all accounts it is a wild hit. We think the number of people hitting the site as it launched even surprised Billy. If you follow Billy on Twitter and in interviews, you know that he is a guy that doesn’t got surprised easily.
In the welcome message of his new site, Billy talks about his acting and unfortunately his much delayed music career. He also waxes on as he reminisces about the Seattle music scene of the early 1990’s when grunge was coming into its heyday and Kurt Cobain and Nirvana were leading the charge out of the bubblegum 1980’s. Billy then sums it all up by saying:
“It’s been 19 years since the Caddy sputtered into Hollywood, low on oil with a driver even lower on outlook. In those years and throughout his sometimes rosy, sometimes less than stellar career as a film and TV actor, that “driver” has continued to write songs. Songs that reflect the ongoing experience of never knowing. Songs that he hopes might speak to those with similar presentiments and with any luck, those who just dig some music.
So here, on the precipice of two decades into what was always intended to be a “duel career”, I am about to share with you what was supposed to be the FIRST half, but has now become the second…
With the exception of a couple of very special guest musicians whom I’m beyond elated to have coming in, initial tracking for my first LP is now complete. We’ve got some mixing and mastering yet to do but we’re almost there. It has been such a… treat for me to be able to work with the caliber of artists we’ve gathered to make this thing happen. Much credit and my ongoing gratitude goes to producer David Darling who saw my vision and fearlessly brought it to life as no one before ever has. I’m not gonna put any useless preconceptions out there and tell you what “kind” of music it is or who you might compare it to so…
We’re just gonna give away one of the tracks for FREE. Give it a listen. Decide for yourself. To be honest, I’m not sure how long the “freebie” will be available as I’ve gotten quite a bit of resistance to this idea, (Whatev. It’s my music, I’ll do what I want with it) so… GET ON THE LIST AND GET IT NOW. As soon as it’s ready, you’ll be emailed a copy.
In addition to the album, we’ve got some other good shit in store for the early subscribers in the months ahead. As we work out the details, you’ll be informed on how to get in on it. Don’t be shy. Leave a comment, question or unsolicited rant. I’ll be as diligent as I possibly can in responding to everyone …
At the risk of sounding all squishy and sentimental, this venture has been a long time coming for me, so I really would like to thank you all in advance for coming along…”

Ashley to star in "Butter"
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ashley Greene (aka Alice Cullen) has signed on to star in the upcoming comedy Butter.
“Twilight” regular Ashley Greene has joined the Weinstein Co. comedy “Butter.”Jennifer Garner is producing and starring in the film, based on the Black List screenplay written by newcomer Jason Micallef. Alissa Phillips and Mike De Luca are also producing the project, which director Jim Field Smith (“She’s Out of My League”) will begin filming next week in Louisiana.
“Butter” follows a number of competitive characters in a small Midwestern town as they become entwined in an annual butter-carving contest. Greene will play a rebellious high school teenager named Kaitlen Pickler. (Do I smell a sequel built around anaerobic fermentation?)
Repped by Innovative Artists and McKeon-Myones Entertainment, Greene just wrapped shooting on the Warner Bros./Dark Castle thriller “The Apparition.” She will next reprise her role as Alice Cullen in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” which Summit releases in June, and she stars in the indie drama “Skateland,” which had its world premiere at Sundance in January.

'Eclipse' Premiere Date Available - Location: Still TBD
Twilight Eclipse Movie Premiere Date Available – Eclipse Stars Pattinson, Stewart, Lautner, and Fanning Commit to Attend. Twihard fans are so excited about the June 30th release of Twilight Eclipse. What’s even more exciting is that the movie premiere is taking place a whopping week before the scheduled movie release.
Stars and an elite group of individuals will see Eclipse before it goes live in theaters across the nation. The June 24th date is set, yet the place is unconfirmed. Preliminary reports say that the premiere will take place at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
In addition to the premiere of Eclipse, there’s another important date for those who want to immerse themselves in Eclipse. The release of “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” will be released on June 5th at 12:01 am. In addition, the book will be available – for free – on a dedicated Web site starting on June 7th. The hardcover version of the book will sell for $13.95 and $1 of the sales will go to the Red Cross to benefit hurricane victims.
The novella is a character development of Bree Tanner, a newborn vampire who was in Eclipse very briefly. Don’t know who she is? Don’t feel bad – she’s gone almost as quickly as she came in the book and film.

'Eclipse' New Book Covers
From Blog.Zap2it.com:
Behold the makeovers for Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight: Eclipse" novel.
Yes, that's two new covers to choose from. The media tie-in cover (left) that features Kristen Stewart's face close up will be available on May 25th. All about Bella.
But a week earlier on May 17th, you can get the other cover (right) that features Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner as they appeared on the "Eclipse" movie poster (the "choice" one). This cover emphasizes Bella's big decision in the novel.
We're kind of nostalgic for the original cover though:
What do you think?

Another 'Breaking Dawn' Director to Consider: M. Night Shyamalan
From MTVMovieBlogs:
Summit Entertainment is clearly gearing up to get moving on "Breaking Dawn," the final entry in the "Twilight" (which still may or may not be released in two parts). There was a lot of talk over the last week or two about potential directors, with the names Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola, Bill Condon and Stephen Daldry all coming up as short-list possibilities. I put those options to a vote last week: Coppola got 40%, Van Sant got 27%, Condon got 18% and Daldry got 15%. So no clear majority.
Well I'm here today to make things even more confusing. This isn't an official possibility on the table for Summit -- as far as we know -- but a noteworthy filmmaker professed his love for Stephenie Meyer's vampire series in a chat on the Kid's Choice Awards red carpet over the weekend: M. Night Shyamalan.
"I would've loved to be-- I love the series, and Catherine [Hardwicke's] movie, it was one of my favorite movies of that year," he said. "Really, I thought tonally, it was a perfect movie. I called her up after I saw 'Twilight' and was like 'That was amazing.' So I'm a big fan."
Shyamalan just recently worked with "Twilight" star Jackson Rathbone on "The Last Airbender," a live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese anime series "Avatar: The Last Airbender." That movie hits theaters this summer, on July 2. Shyamalan is known for frequently screwing with viewers' heads in hits like "The Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable"; "Airbender" is a first for him, a big-budget, studio adaptation.
My own opinions of him as a filmmaker are mixed, but I've never claimed to be a "Twilight" expert. So I want to hear from you. Do you think Shyamalan is a good person for Summit to consider in weighing possible "Breaking Dawn" directors? Do you agree with his assessment of "Twilight" as "tonally" perfect? Would you pick him over the other directors whom we know are in the running?

'The Host' Movie News
Sharing the latest movie news about 'The Host'. If you haven't read it yet, do so!! It's an excellent book!!!
From thedeadbolt.com:
Twilight and New Moon author Stephenie Meyer is working on her next film adaptation beyond the Twilight Saga film franchise with the first Meyer penned adult fiction novel, The Host currently, which is in early stages of pre-production. The Host tells the story of parasitic type aliens that have taken over the minds of almost all of humanity.
According to a Stephenie Meyer related story on Deadline.com, apparently a screenplay for The Host is currently in the works says Host producer Steve Schwartz who revealed that Andrew Niccol will write and direct the Meyer story.
For her post Twilight Saga adapted movie without Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Stephenie Meyer made mention of wanting Robert Redford and Ben Affleck to star in the film adaptation of The Host. However, since a production budget has not even been set for The Host, fans of Stephenie Meyer will have to wait.
In the meantime as The Host gets going, readers can wonder if Meyer will actually continue the series with her two allegedly planned sequels.

'Eclipse' Promises to be "Steamy"
From People.com:
Team Jacob, hold on to your sleeping bags.
Chris Weitz, who directed New Moon, the second installment in the Twilight series, says he has read the script for this summer's third installment, Eclipse – and that one scene in particular is a scorcher.
"I'm looking forward to the sleeping bag scene, I gotta say," Weitz tells PEOPLE. "That's going to be very steamy."
In Eclipse's fan-favorite "tent scene," – spoiler alert! – a freezing Bella, who is on the run from evil vamp Victoria, gets a warm-up from werewolf Jacob when he squeezes into her sleeping bag – while a jealous Edward looks on. The movie will open June 30.
Weitz also says he is eager to see Edward's vampire "parents," played by Elizabeth Reaser and Peter Facinelli, sink their teeth into Eclipse's more intense action.
"I have a special interest in seeing Peter and Elizabeth tear people's heads off," he says with a laugh. "Knowing them, and how kind of kooky and delightful they are, I'm going to find seeing them being ultra-violent very interesting indeed."

Stephenie's Remarks about 'The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner'
From Stepheniemeyer.com:
Surprise!
I have a new book coming out. It's called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. Well, it's more of a novella than an actual book—my version of a short story.
Actually, this has been a surprise to me, too. The reason why it's a surprise was that I never intended to publish this story as a stand-alone book. I began this story a long time ago—before Twilight was even released. Back then I was just editing Eclipse, and in the thick of my vampire world. I was thinking a lot about the newborns, imagining their side of the story, and one thing led to another. I started writing from Bree's perspective about those final days, and what it was like to be a newborn.
This story was something that I worked on off and on for a while, just for fun, in between the times I was writing or editing other Twilight novels. Later, when the concept for The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide came up, I thought that might be a good place for Bree. Her story is a nice complement to Eclipse; it explains a lot of the things that Bella never knew. So I dusted it off and finished it up for placement in the Guide.
At the same time, it came in handy for the Eclipse film. Melissa (Rosenberg, the screenwriter) had a ton of questions about what exactly was going on in Seattle, how Victoria managed things, what Riley was like, etc. I let her read what I had then, and later gave the whole thing to the director, David Slade. David asked if Xavier, Bryce, and Jodelle (Riley, Victoria, and Bree) could read it as well, so all the parties involved would end up having a really strong foundation for their characters before the cameras started rolling. I was pleased that this side of the story would make it into the film and was looking forward to including it in the Guide.
(Keeping it confidential: Here is Jodelle next to the bucket of waterlogged ashes that were once the pages of her copy of the Bree manuscript.)
Then I got the news: my "short story" was nearly 200 pages long when typeset. It was too long to fit into the Guide—without ending up with a tome as heavy as the Oxford English Dictionary. My publisher approached me with the idea of releasing the Bree story on its own. One of the major benefits of this plan was that it would be out before the movie, so people would get to know Bree before they saw her in the film. That made sense to me, and we decided to go ahead with it.
There was one thing I asked for: since this story had always been an extra for me, and was meant to be released with the Guide, I wanted to be able to offer it to my fans for free. You all have bought a ton of my books, and I wanted to give you this story as a gift. My publisher was awesome and embraced this idea. We still wanted to also produce a physical book with a cool cover (see below) that you can add to your set if you like, but starting at noon on June 7th until July 5th, it will also be available online at www.breetanner.com.
One other aspect of this release is the plan to give a more important gift to people who really need it. One dollar of each book purchased in the US from the first printing will be donated to the American Red Cross for their relief efforts in Haiti and Chile and other parts of the world where people are in great need. We're going to have an option online as well, so you can choose to make a donation if you want when you read the story online. I hope you will. I think that we can really help a lot of people with this.
I really hope you all enjoy this story. I had a blast writing it. I'm glad that after all this time cooling her heels in my files, Bree finally gets her chance to shine.
