Stephenie Meyer - 2008 Recognitions
"The former English major and Brigham Young grad claims that she never sought a career in writing. In fact, she was perfectly content being a full-time mother to three boys. But after penning "Twilight", a book based a relationship between a male vampire and a high-school student, she was transformed into a literary luminary with a book debuting at number five on the New York Times bestseller list. Her fame rose in 2008 once Twilight was adapted for the big screen. The casting of English actor Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, the male vampire, sent female fans into hysterics and sold out theatres everywhere. The movie earned $72 million during opening weekend, giving Meyers a blood-sucking success any author would want to sink her teeth into."
Stephenie has also been recognized by:

Kristen Stewart: Finding It Hard to be Famous
Friday December 26th, 2008 at 12:17 pm by Lucy
Twilight star Kristen Stewart has said she’s finding it hard to be suddenly famous.
The 18 year old was catapulted into the public eye when she was cast as the lead human in the cult teen vampire love story and after its release in the US last month, has found herself with a paparazzi following.
She explained recently: “I’m really not good at [being famous]. Some people are great at it. It’s like the other side of the job. I can’t believe I have to do it.
“It makes it easier because I’m really proud of the movie and I’m a fan of the book as well.”
She added that it’s worse for co-star Robert Pattinson: “It’s weird to see people mainly my age flipping out over Rob walking into the room. He shifts in his seat and they all just go crazy. It’s a little daunting.”

Lautner "Fighting for Role" in New Moon
Lautner played the Native American character in the box office smash, and was expected to continue his portrayal of the part in the movie's highly anticipated follow-up, in which Black becomes a pivotal character.
But moviemaker Chris Weitz, who has taken over the director's chair from "Twilight"'s Catherine Hardwicke, is planning to offer the part to a more established actor, according to industry reports.
"Prince Caspian" star Barnes and "Scorpion King 2" actor Copon are reportedly both in the running to take over from Lautner. And a representative for the franchise admits the film's castings are not yet set in stone.
A spokesperson tells MTV, "The casting decision in regards to the character Jacob Black has yet to be made."

Taylor Lautner Talks About Campaign to Stay on New Moon
"I have been working out. I've been working out since the day we finished filming 'Twilight.' I just weighed myself today; I've put on 19 pounds," the noticeably larger Lautner told us, promising that he'll be big enough to fit Stephenie Meyer's physical description of Jacob Black in "New Moon" when cameras begin rolling in 12 weeks. "I'm guaranteeing Weitz 10 more [pounds] by filming. I get to meet Chris on Friday, in two days, so I'm excited. I'm going to have lunch with him."
The news of a Lautner-Weitz sit-down will undoubtedly launch a few thousand "OME!" exclamations, as Twilighters have spent the past few days launching Web sites, petitions and other shows of support for the young star. Speaking with us at Wednesday's Hollywood Foreign Press Association Salutes Young Hollywood event, Lautner also addressed actor Michael Copon's claims that he had landed the Jacob role, insisting that Copon's Facebook declarations might be a bit premature.
"I've heard a few things," he said of Copon. "I don't really know too much to comment on it. As far as I know, I haven't been told 'no' yet, so it's still all up in the air."

Chris Weitz "New Moon" Director
In the past few days I have been involved in a whirlwind romance with Stephenie Meyers' extraordinary books.
And I am very grateful to have received her permission to protect New Moon in its translation from the page to the screen.
For fans of the books and of the film of Twilight, this may come as an unexpected twist. So I want to write briefly to try to put you at ease, and to give you reason to hope for and expect the best.
For the last decade of my career as a director, I have chosen to make adaptations of complex and involved works of literature. This has always begun with the love of a book and its characters, story, and theme; and it has always involved a respect of and responsiveness to the feelings of other people who loved those books.
When I saw the film of Twilight, I was alternately entranced and left hungry for more. I was also struck by the extraordinary passion for the characters, story and theme that was evident in the people sitting in the seats around me. My job is to live up to that devotion.
Like many of you, I am a fan of Catherine Hardwicke's work. I can't really say much about why she is not doing New Moon because I wasn't involved in those decisions. But I can say that I will devote myself to making the very best and most faithful version of New Moon that can be brought to the screen. To those who doubt that as a male director I can capture Bella's experience, I can only say that emotion is universal and that my work has often involved working with some of the most talented actresses in the world.
For the rest, the proof will have to be in the pudding. But I promise to remain responsive to your hopes and fears.
I thank you for this opportunity and for your faith.
Very best,
Chris Weitz

Before her exit from the series, Hardwicke told MTV News about her giggly commentary, deleted scenes and more.
SANTA MONICA, California — These days, "Twilight" fans are so freaked out that you'd think James the nomad was on to their scent.
Even though their beloved vampire film keeps taking in big bucks at the box office, director Catherine Hardwicke has been yanked off the sequels, and names of potential successors are jumping around faster than Edward Cullen on a deer hunt.
As the future of the franchise hangs in the balance, and the fanbase splinters into various camps, we've set aside some cool news that should hopefully return a smile to the faces of Stephenie Meyer fans. It's part three of what would become Hardwicke's last in-depth interview as the "Twilight" captain. Following on the heels of her discussing record-setting box-office numbers and "New Moon" hopes, we bring you brand-new details about Hardwicke's final "Twilight" effort: the much-anticipated DVD.

New Moon - New Details
Here's a bit from EW's article about New Moon:
"Summit Entertainment has tentatively slated Nov. 20, 2009, as the release date for New Moon, the Twilight sequel, which means any director who signs on to replace Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has to be in Vancouver by Dec. 15 to begin 12 weeks of preproduction before a mid-March start date. Reports have speculated that Hardwicke was fired for being difficult on set, but sources close to her suggest Summit's aggressive production schedule turned her off. "She'd love to do the sequel if she could do it better than Twilight,” says one. “It became clear that Summit didn’t have those same priorities."
Another of Hardwicke’s primary concerns was that hunky vampire Edward remains MIA throughout New Moon’s middle portion. In her own opening-weekend interview, she told EW, “You have to get the chemistry as strong between Jacob and Bella as it was between Bella and Edward. You also have to do something with that arc: She’s in love with somebody, he disappears, she falls in love with someone else, and the first guy comes back. Movies like Pearl Harbor have tried it. It absolutely didn’t work.”

**Oh, and one more thing ~ Bella was NOT in love with Jacob!!! He comforted her when she needed it, he was her best friend, she loved him as a friend, but she was NOT in love with him. Edward was only gone about six months. True love doesn't die that soon!!!!! AND Bella & Jacob were only friends for about two months of that time. Jacob messed with Bella's emotions and tried to manipulate her ~ that is NOT true love, that's selfishness ....Summit better not mess this movie up!!! Okay....I'm off my soapbox now :-)**
This is just my opinion. I guess it came off a little harsh, didn't mean for it to. I know others see it differently. I'm just a little concerned about Summit messing it up for us ~ but hopefully we'll all be pleasantly surprised :-)

Robert Pattinson - BBC Newsbeat Article
There are stories in the papers about a multi-million pound deal for appearing in the rest of the Twilight series. Are they true?
I read some gossip thing saying, because I looked really uncomfortable in a paparazzi photo or something, they're like, 'He should get used to it. That's the price to pay if you're getting $12m (£8.1m) a movie'. If I'm getting paid $12m a movie I'd walk around naked. That's all nonsense. I don't know who makes that stuff up. Even the price for the first one was nonsense.
Are you doing the next two films?
I went into it doing it as a trilogy. They're shooting the second one in March. I'm not really in it that much in the second one. The lead character is somebody else, which is another reason why I'm not being paid $12m. I've got two scenes.
Did you ever imagine that girls would be obsessed with your hair?
That's the weirdest thing ever. I don't get that at all. It's really strange.
A lot of the gossip websites seem to have an obsession with you as well, don't they?
I think someone follows me. They do the most random stuff. I get a photo taken through a burger drive-through window and it's like, 'What?'. They always seem like they're six feet away. I don't understand. I'm walking around and I don't see anybody.

Hardwicke NOT returning to New Moon
Summit Entertainment and "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke jointly announced to ET that Hardwicke will not be directing the next installment of the hugely popular 'Twilight' franchise.
"I am sorry that due to timing I will not have the opportunity to direct New Moon," said Hardwicke. "Directing Twilight has been one of the great experiences of my life, and I am grateful to the fans for their passionate support of the film. I wish everyone at Summit the best with the sequel - it is a great story."
"Catherine did an incredible job in helping us to launch the Twilight franchise, and we thank her for all of her efforts and we very much hope to work with her on future Summit projects," said the company's production president Erik Feig. "We as a studio have a mandate to bring the next instalment in the franchise to the big screen in a timely fashion so that fans can get more of Edward, Bella and all of the characters that Stephenie Meyer has created."
"New Moon" is tentatively set for release at the end of 2009 or early 2010.

Robert Pattinson Kisses & Tells
"Method acting?
Vampire-playing Robert Pattinson admits he sometimes slips into character when he's out with the ladies.
"I've been known for a little nibble," he told reporters at the London premiere of Twilight.
The movie, based on the bestselling novel by Stephenie Meyer, has become an instant hit with tween audiences. Thousands of screaming girls lined the black carpet Wednesday night for a chance to see Pattinson in the (undead) flesh.
Despite adoring fans, the single Pattinson, 22, tells PEOPLE he's not actively looking for a girlfriend. "I'm not like prowling around, no!" he laughs.
However his admirers' pickup lines have changed following Twilight's success. "Now it's very different," he said, continuing in a high-pitched falsetto, "It's, 'Oh I'm such a big fan!' "
One woman who's definitely in Pattinson's fan club? Costar Kristen Stewart.
But the 18-year-old actress did jokingly recall one action scene that sidelined the strapping star.
"He tried to pick me up ... and he pulled his groin," she said. "It was hilarious! He was hurt but he was laughing."

Taylor Lautner Replaced?
"After celebrating news that the film had already taken in more than $35 million, Summit e-mailed a letter to Twilight fans, signed by stars Pattinson and Stewart, expressing gratitude at moving forward with a sequel.
But the studio still hasn’t confirmed whether the rest of the cast will be brought aboard for New Moon. Fans are particularly invested in whether Taylor Lautner, who is markedly shorter and more boyish-looking than Meyer’s description of his character, Jacob, will return to vie for Bella’s heart.
”We are definitely talking and thinking about it right now,’ says Erik Feig, Summit’s president of production. ‘Taylor’s fantastic as Jacob in Twilight. I think when we get closer to shooting, the director is going to look at everyone as if they are brand-new to the role.’"
**Personally, I don't like Jacob until Breaking Dawn, but I think Taylor did an excellent job in Twilight and I hope that they do not replace him. Come on, it's Hollywood!!! They can make people look like anything. You can make it work Summit, we have faith in you. KEEP TAYLOR!!!

Catherine Hardwicke talks "New Moon"
Article by Larry Carroll at MTV.com
"I would say that the film could be finished by the end of 2009, if not the beginning of 2010; cameras could be rolling in about five months," Hardwicke said of her March/April timetable, should she return to helm the pic. "We spent about a year and three months getting ['Twilight'] ready, between writing the script and casting. We could probably do things a little bit faster this time, but who knows? It depends. And sometimes you can do things really fast. You can get two editors on, and you can just zip through."
The affable filmmaker — who famously had Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart audition with kissing scene on her bed to see if their chemistry was right — also revealed to us that she's already read the first pass at the "New Moon" screenplay that was turned in recently by "Twilight" writer Melissa Rosenberg.
"There's a draft, but then of course, you do more than one version of the script. You work on it. You try to bring it to life," Hardwick explained. "I've read the draft; we're looking at it and trying to think of cool ideas that will bring it to life, bring it to the screen."
Hardwicke then revealed that many of these "cool ideas" have been simmering in her head for quite some time — especially those revolving around the hairy situation that will soon transform Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).
"I was doing a lot of research on wolves before [filming 'Twilight'], and we had a scene with the wolves in it," she explained. "So we're already thinking a little bit about [Jacob's transformation into a wolf]. Then there's the stunts, and there's Italy. It's all cooking in the brain."
She also reiterated her confidence in Lautner's ability not only to accurately portray Jacob — described in the books as growing to a muscular 6-foot-7 during "New Moon" — but also to carry a romantic storyline with Kristen Stewart's Bella for much of the next film. "We are putting him on a medieval torture thing and stretching him," Hardwicke laughed. "No, he's only 16, so he is still growing. His dad is tall, and he's working out, so you never know. ... [Creating the love triangle] will definitely be the challenge. That would be a thing to work on too. How do you deepen that chemistry and make it go to the next level?
"The wolves will be tricky, because they are supposed to be these giant wolves," she continued. "Is it going to be CGI, real wolves or a combination? There are five standard industry ways of doing it. Which will be most effective. When you read the book, you see how quickly they transform, and you see the shredding clothes and the popping collars, so that's a challenge. How does that read on film? How does that translate to film? What you normally do is you do tests. You figure out some things that are working better, and things that are not working better. You try them out, hopefully, on real people."
And the other challenge, as Twilighters know, is staying true to the novel while also figuring out how to get more screen time for breakout star Robert Pattinson. "When you look at the book, you wonder, 'How is this going to work?' That's one of the balancing acts that is being considered. It's definitely an issue, because we all love that chemistry between Rob and Kristen, but that's also what's great about 'New Moon' — [Edward] has to break himself away from [Bella], and the depression she gets into, the deep depression. That is the whole story, and you have to keep the integrity."
To get around the problem, Hardwicke conceded, she and Rosenberg may abandon the series concept of the story being seen through Bella's eyes. "That could be one of the ways," she said, contemplating scenes depicting Edward's journey without Bella. "Though, his story was a little bit depressing; it seems like he just sat down in a room and [moped]. But, you can always make that interesting."
With the success of the "Twilight" movie, Hardwicke feels that the keepers of the franchise have been blessed with an affirmation that such story tweaks are permitted — as long as they're within reason. "People know the book, so obviously that's the main structure of 'New Moon,' but like in 'Twilight,' where we took a lot of the emotions that were inherent to the material and brought them to cinematic life, like the jumping out of the trees and the dinner — we [could do the same]," she explained. "So that's what we are working on right now, a way to make it active and dynamic and create conflict, and make it leap off the page."
Asked which other "New Moon" elements she could see as receiving an extreme makeover, Hardwicke singled out the regal Italian vampires known as the Volturi, who'll play an important role in the next film. "Well, I definitely do not think they should look like those old dudes, like in an old 'Star Trek' episode where they are just wearing robes from some Universal [movie prop] closet. We're working on that," she laughed.
As for the actors who'll play the pivotal roles, she cryptically revealed: "Stephenie [Meyer] actually has a few people in her head right now that she's mentioned could be cool. But before I say who, we have to see their schedule and if they're interested in doing it. ... [One is] a very cool, unknown person."
These questions — and many more — will undoubtedly be answered in the next five months. But before the "New Moon" cameras can begin rolling, the most important one is whether Hardwicke will have the opportunity to make her vampire magic again.
"Where's my crystal ball? I need a crystal ball, I need a fortune teller," the director laughed. "I hope [I make 'New Moon'], but you just have to see if everything can work out. I don't know."
Twilight Vampire Pals Hang Out
Monday, 01 December 2008 23:15
HOLLYWOOD—Robert Pattinson has all the traits of a Hollywood heartthrob—photogenic features, a lovely British accent and a starring role as the brooding but devastatingly handsome good guy vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight, the big-screen adaptation of the first installment in author Stephenie Meyer’s wildly successful young-adult book series.
The only thing that doesn’t quite fit? Pattinson is one seriously self-deprecating guy.
“I can’t watch myself onscreen,” said the 22-year-old actor, who previously appeared as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter films. “When my parents say, Oh, did you see this photo?’” I immediately start going, ‘Don’t tell me about photos!’ I haven’t watched anything since the premiere of Harry Potter. And that’s because I couldn’t find a way out.
“It would have looked a bit bad for me to walk out,” he conceded with a laugh.
In the coming months, Pattinson and the rest of the film’s ensemble cast are probably going to have to get a lot more comfortable with fame. Twilight, which details the romance between Edward and 17-year-old Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), has been compared to Romeo and Juliet, with its themes of forbidden love. But it’s also been described as the heir to J.K. Rowling’s teen wizard saga—given its blockbuster literary pedigree and popularity among the under-18 set. For months prior to its opening last week, interest in the film had built to the point of madness, with even a clock counting down the minutes to its premiere at twilighthemovie.com.
It’s a strange thing to realize that you’re at the heart of a full-blown pop culture phenomenon, but on an unseasonable fall afternoon, with the temperature hovering near 100 degrees, the pressure didn’t seem to be adversely affecting any of the actors. Gathered around a conference table in a Los Angeles office building, Pattinson and costars Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed, who portray two other members of the Cullen clan, were playing it remarkably cool.
“I think it was toward the end of shooting when it really dawned on me,” said Reed, who plays the supremely confident Rosalie, love interest to Lutz’s Emmett. “There were fans that were finding out where the locations were, and that’s when it really hit me. People saying, ‘Oh, it’s going to be the next Harry Potter!’ That’s a big mountain in front of you. There’s a lot of hype around this.”
During the conversation, the trio easily dissolved into laughter, teasing one another and displaying the same generally convivial vibe that took root during the weeks they spent together on set in the remote Pacific Northwest with director Catherine Hardwicke.
“It’s weird having such a big cast where everyone’s pretty much the same age,” Pattinson said. “A lot of the time the locations were really isolated, so we were the only people we could hang out with.”
Every modern take on the vampire legend sets up new rules that govern the creatures, and Twilight is no exception. The Cullens refuse to feed on humans, hunting animals instead, and they are not harmed by the sun, although their luminous white skin does glitter in direct light. It’s their self-imposed dietary restrictions and desire to live among people that ultimately helps Bella accept Edward’s true nature, but it also puts the vampires in direct conflict with others of their kind, who are less, well, civilized.
For the movie’s action sequences, the actors experimented with stunts and wire work, which Pattinson admits did not play to his strengths. “I got injured on the first shot of the first day,” he said. “I wasn’t even doing a stunt. I was just trying to pick up Kristen and I almost tore my hamstring because I hadn’t been doing enough squats. It was very embarrassing.”
Added Lutz: “When we did have those hard days, we would go back to Rob’s room. He had a couple of guitars in there and a lot of great music. It was really fun being able to relax and have the cast come together, having that time just to bond and not really be actors but friends.”
Even though the film’s release was several weeks away, Summit Entertainment already announced plans to move ahead with adaptations of the other books in the series.
Pattinson, Lutz, 23, and Reed, 20, said they are thrilled about the prospects for a Cullen family reunion. After all, playing a vampire does offer an actor certain advantages.
“It’s quite cool having this sort of secret element,” Pattinson offered.
“You’re doing a scene with someone and you can play something, however, you want and deliver it in a completely random way so even the other actor doesn’t know what you’re doing.
“And you can just say, ‘Well, it’s because I’m a vampire, isn’t it?’”

Twilight in Canada
Twilight Sinks Its Teeth Into Blockbuster Debut
That huge premiere number represents achievements on many levels for Twilight. It's the top debut ever for a film directed by one woman (Mimi Leder's Deep Impact banked $41.2 mil on its initial weekend 10 years ago). It's the 29th best first-weekend bow of all time (falling just shy of 300's $70.9 mil and coming in just ahead of Transformers' $70.5 mil). It's by far the biggest opening yet for fledgling studio Summit, whose previous best bow was Never Back Down's $8.6 mil back in March. It stands as the fourth biggest premiere of the year -- better than Quantum of Solace's $67.5 mil opening, better than WALL-E's $63.1 mil, better than Hancock's $62.6 mil, to name a few. Last, but almost certainly not least, it's nearly exactly what I predicted (hooray, me!).
So it's no surprise that the studio already announced a sequel, New Moon. But the question for now, of course, is where Twilight, which averaged a bloody good $20,636 in 3,419 theaters, goes from here? Not surprisingly, girls and women comprised a whopping 75 percent of the film's audience, but will they continue to pack theaters as the weeks go on? In the short term: yes. According to studio data, ticket buyers gave the movie a nice A- grade, signaling the spread of positive word of mouth as we head into Thanksgiving. Certainly, there will be some competition for this core crowd from Australia and Four Christmases next week, but you can also assume that Twilight will be able to build on its super-smashing start."

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Say Thanks!
It says:
"To all of our wonderful, loyal and fantastic fans -
Thank you from the entire cast & crew for your amazing support of Twilight. You’ve blown away all of our expectations, and we feel so honored to have made a film that means as much to you as it does to us.
Without your passion, interaction and support, this film would not be where it is today -- the #1 movie in America!
From every city, every stop, every interview we have done, you've made this an unbelievable, nearly surreal experience…and so cool that we were all in this together.
We just heard from Summit that we’ll be moving forward on New Moon. We look forward to sharing this next chapter with you!

New Moon is now Officially a Go!!
'Twilight' Sequel Confirmed: 'New Moon' To Hit The Big Screen
First-day sales help green-light second book in Stephenie Meyer's hit series.
By Larry Carroll
It's been talked about, it has a screenwriter, and now it's official: Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon" will be coming to a theater near you. Summit Entertainment made the official announcement on Saturday (November 22), during a brief respite from counting the massive box-office receipts that Meyer's first film, "Twilight," is taking in this weekend.
"I don't think any other author has had a more positive experience with the makers of her movie adaptation than I have had with Summit Entertainment," the best-selling author said in a statement. "I'm thrilled to have the chance to work with them again on 'New Moon.' "
The news comes on the heels of the vampire flick selling out theaters nationwide, despite its mixed reviews. The madness began with some impressive advance ticket sales, then the film added to its $7 million midnight-screening take with a staggering $35.7 million on Friday, taking in money at a rate reported to be more than three times that of last week's box-office winner, "Quantum of Solace." To put it in perspective, "Twilight" is now second only to "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" in terms of biggest opening-day gross for a non-summer release.
"Twilight" is currently on track to become the highest-grossing film ever made by a female director, the highest-grossing vampire film of all time, and is also threatening several other records heading into Saturday. The film is currently projected to make more than $60 million this weekend, which would put it on track for the $150 million box-office haul that director Catherine Hardwicke has said would automatically green-light sequels.
Hence, the announcement of Robert Pattinson's favorite book being turned into a movie - news that will surely send Taylor Lautner to the gym immediately. Keep your eyes on MTV, Twilighters, as we'll have more news about the box-office take and "New Moon" in the next few days.

Robert Pattinson's Dating Status
© Albert L. Ortega/PR Photos
Being hounded by many female fans wherever he goes due to the fact that he is the main cast in the hit movie "Twilight", Robert Pattinson however confesses he is still single. Asked by Ellen DeGeneres during a taping for her talk show, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", if he's single, he says "yeah." Robert goes on telling Ellen that he might be staying single "permanently" as no one wants to date him. "No one else seems to get into a relationship with me. It's really strange," he admits. "People like screaming at me. Actually, they like screaming at me in relationships as well. No one wants to commit." Robert Pattinson's interview with Ellen DeGeneres will be aired this Friday, November 21, the same day his much-awaited big screen flick "Twilight" hits the theaters in the U.S. Meanwhile, by declaring publicly his single status, Robert thus quashes media speculation that he is dating actress Camilla Belle. Rumors on him dating Camilla were provoked by their togetherness at an after party for the Los Angeles premiere of "Twilight" Monday, November 17.

Stephenie Meyer interview with Ryan Seacrest
Twilight Soundtrack is #1
It has been confirmed today that the Twilight Soundtrack is the #1 most-selling album this week in the U.S. according to Billboard! This is a huge feat for a soundtrack BEFORE the movie has even been released, and really goes to show the passion and dedication of all you Twi-hards out there. So a huge thanks to everyone who picked up a copy, we hope you are loving it!" - Per Seth at Stepheniemeyer.com
The Seattle Times Reports:
"Twilight' soundtrack rules the charts

More than two weeks before "Twilight" hits theaters, the movie's soundtrack topped the album charts, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Released by Atlantic Records, the "Twilight" soundtrack sold 165,000 copies last week, becoming the third soundtrack of the year to go to No. 1.
The other soundtracks to top the Billboard chart this year have been "Juno" and "Mamma Mia!"
With new songs from Paramore, Linkin Park and star Robert Pattinson, the "Twilight" soundtrack ended a two-week reign by rock legends AC/DC, as the band's "Black Ice" sold 160,000 copies to fall to No. 2. Third place went to the "High School Musical 3" soundtrack, with 110,000 units moved.
Expect interest in the "Twilight" soundtrack to only build once the drama, which also features Kristen Stewart and Cam Gigandet, opens Nov. 21."
This is such exciting news!! I have my copy, do you?

Stephenie Meyer
5. STEPHENIE MEYER
In May, the best-selling author of the beloved young-adult Twilight saga published her first adult novel, The Host, which settled in on the New York Times best-seller list for 26 weeks. Before summer was out, she wrapped up the Twilight series with the polarizing finale Breaking Dawn, which has sold 2.7 million copies. After the Dawn book tour, she returned home to watch the first cut of the movie adaptation of Twilight. After her wild year, Meyer isn't dreaming of an island vacation — just time to write. Given all the love out there for her work, that'd be a win for everyone. —Karen Valby

Sneak peek
Twilight on Nightline 11/11/2008
I saw this on ABC's Nightline last night. It shows the Dallas appearance of Edward (aka Robert Pattinson) Enjoy.....
Robert Pattinson Comes to Dallas, TX
That's right, the oh-so-dreamy Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) came to the Galleria Mall this past Tuesday and graced us with his presence. Screaming teens, tweens, and adults came from all over to catch a glimpse of this beloved vampire. I wasn't planning on attending this event, but after careful consideration, how could I not go? This was a chance of a lifetime- to see the famous Edward Cullen in person, and I am so glad I didn't let this chance go by. Thanks Cindy for pushing me to go, and thank you to Rachel and Arthur for coming along. It was an awesome experience! I think Robert Pattinson is just so dang cute; I don't know if you can tell or not in the video I created, but Rob seems to be quite shy. Just notice how he runs his hands through his hair often and looks at the ground. He doesn't seem to know what to do with himself. Even toward the end of his appearance he seems to trip on something, maybe his feet, lol. Cindy and I think that his humble attitude is what makes him even more attractive- he's hot but humble. What more could you ask for?!? Unfortunately for us and everyone else who was there for Rob last night, couldn't hear Robert speaking. I didn't understand a single word he said, which was a little disappointing. You would think they would have had their sound working. :(
This is the view we had looking down from the third floor in the Galleria. The lines of people circled all around the skating rink. If you look closely enough, you can see the stage. ;)
This is the stage where he had made his appearance. I had to take a picture of this, too.
And last, but certainly not least, I had to also get a picture with me touching the very stage that Robert Pattinson stood on. hee hee

**We were at the Galleria tonight. It was great. Robert is so sweet and humble ~ I hope he stays that way. It was very endearing. I like him even more now!!! Tara will be posting some video soon of our adventure, so stay tuned.**
