Another Action-Movie Roll for Taylor

According to a Variety report, "Twilight Saga: New Moon" star Taylor Lautner is set to star in an untitled project described as a teenage version of "Taken."

Lautner's father, Dan Lautner, will be a producer for the film, the first under their Tailor Made Entertainment label, which they formed to produce movie and TV projects.

In the film, Taylor will play an elite military soldier discharged after an injury. He goes to college, and joins some friends on a trip to Cancun. When his companions are kidnapped, he takes the law into his own hands and stages a rescue attempt.

This news comes a week after the 18-year-old Grand Rapids-born actor hosted "Saturday Night Live," and two weeks after he signed on for superhero film "Max Steel."

Taylor's schedule isn't likely to have any gaps soon - "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," the third film in the series, wrapped a few weeks ago, and will be released in June, while principal photography for the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's fourth "Twilight" book "Breaking Dawn" (which will likely be split into two films) is slated for late 2010.

He will also star in Garry Marshall's ensemble comedy "Valentine's Day," slated for a February release.
