Actress Bryce Dallas Howard, daughter of Oklahoma native Ron Howard, is promising an “extraordinary” ending to the next “Twilight” film, 2010’s “Eclipse.”

Howard, who takes over the role of vampire baddie Victoria in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” told MTV News that weeks of extensive fighting training was needed to prepare for the sequel’s big final battle.

“There’s quite an extraordinary finale,” Howard told MTV News. “That was very fun to do.”

In “Eclipse,” the love triangle among human Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), her good-hearted vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella’s werewolf BFF Jacob (Taylor Lautner) intensifies. Meanwhile, Victoria creates a vampire army to kill Bella and avenge the death of her mate James (Cam Gigandet) in “Twilight.”

According to MTV, Howard was careful not to reveal too much about the third film, but she did say that the “Eclipse” battle is the grandest in the franchise so far.

“The producers were saying it’s the biggest spectacle filmed thus far in this franchise,” she said. “There’s a newborn army that’s been raised for battle. It’s a true battle scene.”

Howard replaces Rachelle Lefevre, who played Victoria in “Twilight” and this fall’s sequel “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” An apparent scheduling dispute prevented Lefevre from reprising the role.
