From Examiner.com:
Robert Pattinson 'is a bit of a weirdo,' says 'New Moon' director, Chris Weitz - On page 82 of TIME Magazine's May 10, 2010 issue, The Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz calls the star of his movie, "a weirdo." Robert Pattinson, about whom the director is writing, is also one of TIME Magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World."
Mr. Weitz quickly qualifies his characterization of his bookish, independent actor - saying he is weird "in the best sense."
The director describes him as a person who would rather sit in the corner of a pub and talk with friends about music and ideas than walk a red carpet or give interviews. He also describes him as "someone who seems to answer Freud's rhetorical question, What do women want?"
With the release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse taking place next month, his new film Bel-Ami wrapping, and another new project, Water for Elephants beginning, it's clear, weird or not, that the public will be seeing more of Mr. Pattinson in books adapted for the screen in the near future.
Mr. Weitz may have had a little fun with the actor in the TIME article, but he also said, "we haven't seen a tenth of what he can do onscreen."
Coming from a director, that sounds pretty promising.
