So far, the casting directors for the Twilight series have done pretty dang well for themselves: Robert Pattinson as Edward? Score! Kristen Stewart as Bella? Nice! Taylor Lautner as Jacob? But of course!

It remains to be seen, however, if the lucky casting streak will continue with Breaking Dawn, Part 1. Sure, most of the major roles are already filled, but there are still two incredibly important "characters" yet to make an appearance. I'm talking, of course, about vamp-human baby Renesmee, AND ... drum roll, please ... Bella's wedding ring!!

No sneak peeks (yet) at Renesmee (I don't even know HOW they're going to do that, I really don't), but Summit Entertainment did release the first close-up wedding ring pic!

Hmmm. You want to know what I think?

I think this is a perfectly lovely ring ... that doesn't quite live up to the ethereal, luminous, museum-quality work of art I'd been imagining all this time. Granted, I don't know if the ring I've been fantasizing about could actually be crafted by human hands -- but that's because I don't know if the ring described in the book could be manufactured in the real world either.

For example: "The gold made a glittering web around the diamonds." Oooh. Try to picture RPattz sliding that on to KStew's finger. (Are you trying to picture it?) I can barely even make out the details, personally -- all I can see is a flash of light and little trails of gold dust, like what's left behind when you wave a Fourth of July sparkler around.

Such a ring is probably beyond the capacity of even the most talented human jewelry designer, so I will try to be understanding, to contain my disappointment.

Whatever will I gaze upon to console myself?

Well, I suppose if I have to stare at Robert Pattinson's face for the whole entire movie ... I can deal with that.

Unless you are a fan of the Twilight saga (and if you're not, what is WRONG with you?), you may not be aware that Breaking Dawn, the finale of the series, in which Bella and Edward actually make a vampire-human baby, will be out in theaters on November 18. This is only part one of the finale, because it was so exciting and sexy that they had to split it in two, much like the vampire and human portions of Baby Cullen-Swan -- otherwise we all would simply expire from the thrill of watching it. Also, we would have to get up at least once to pee because it would be a very long movie, and then we would miss something important, and we hate that. In any case, by serving two separate portions of the film, one now and one later, there is delayed gratification. This is good for everyone, not least, the movie makers, and also is sort of fitting for an entire series about waiting until you are married to have sex with a vampire. (Subtext!)

By our speedy Google calendar calculation, there are now 71 days until Breaking Dawn's official release date. If you know people who know people, you might be able to catch a glimpse sooner, but, for the general public, that's how long you're going to have to wait. It seems interminable, yes, but we are here to help! Here are 71 things to do, one per day, or do them all each and every day, if you see fit, to pass the time until Kristen Stewart and that British bloke with the mop of hair and funny teeth and sparkly skin are emoting on the big screen right in front of you. (OMG.)

71. Pretend to re-read Twilight, but really just lie with it under your pillow and occasionally touch its weathered pages with your cold, cold fingertips.

70. Do the same with Eclipse.

69. Do not do the same with New Moon. Use it to prop your front door open so your cat, Mr. Fluffers, can get in and out at night without you having to wake up. This will change your life! Also, under cover of moonlight, when you squint your eyes, you can pretend that Mr. Fluffers is Edward Cullen. They have a similar facial structure.

68. Put Twilight, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn under your pillow and try to sleep. You will not be able to. Imagine if your neck were as long as all three books together. What a neck that would be for a vampire to latch onto! Blow your own mind; make an appointment with a chiropractor.

67. Stare at yourself in the mirror. Will you ever have your own vampire love affair? Do not answer. This is a rhetorical question.

66. Fashion a realistic set of vampire teeth out of wine corks and some barbed wire, and practice wearing them around the house, and eventually to a red-carpet event, should you be invited to one.

​65. Fashion a realistic Edward Cullen doll, with whom you will attend the movie's premiere midnight show.

64. Determine whether you will have to buy the Edward Cullen doll a ticket to see the movie, or if you can sneak him in in your backpack.

63. Determine that the Edward Cullen doll deserves his own ticket. No expense is too great! Also, buy him some shoes. No one should have to go to a movie barefoot.

62. Refer to Yahoo Answers for what sort of shoes Edward Cullen wears.

61. Fashion a realistic Jacob doll. Stage mock fights between it and the Edward Cullen doll. Buy several shirts for the Jacob doll, because they are always ripping off and going missing when he becomes a werewolf. That must be frustrating.

60. Feel terrible when the fights become realistic, and the Jacob doll goes too far in a way that we cannot bring ourselves to discuss. Feel just like Bella must have. Also, slightly aroused.

59. Reattach the head of the Edward Cullen doll. Kiss its cold vampire lips and remember.

58. Throw the Jacob doll out the window. What an a-hole.

57. Eat some pizza. You are hungry!

56. Take out the vampire teeth.

55. Drink all the wine in the uncorked bottles you've used for fashioning the vampire teeth. Make sure it is red wine, for the most vampiric effect.

​54. Put the teeth back in, lie on the floor, and clutch your Edward Cullen doll to your chest. Whisper "I feel very safe with you," and "Your eyes are a brilliant shade of butterscotch today, darling." (You may lisp a bit. Practice makes perfect!)

53. Consider how the title of Breaking Dawn includes all of the letters for "Edward." Get chills.

52. Watch some Toddlers & Tiaras, or maybe a few episodes of House Hunters, just to take your mind off things for a minute.

51. Go out and collect the Jacob doll. He is only slightly worse for wear. Tell him he's your best friend, but Edward is your TRUE LOVE. There is no other way. Sigh deeply and expressively.

50. Go to work. When your boss asks where you've been, shout "You just don't understand anything!" and storm out. Sneak back in and collect your Edward Cullen doll from your cubicle once you get halfway home and realize you forgot him.

49. Stop at the grocery store for some string cheese. It's great for snacks, and high in protein!

Stare moodily out the window and wonder why you didn't have the luck to be sent to live with your father in Forks, Washington, when your mother gallivanted around the Southwest with her new husband. Robert's Guy's Night Out

Robert Pattinson was recently spotted without Kristen Stewart at a Los Angeles hotspot called SoHo House. There was talk that RPattz's enjoyed a truly wild night while KStew worked in England; but now, new information has come out that the gorgeous actor was actually just there with male friends so she need not worry.

A source at the club stated, "Rob came in with friends and there were no girls with them. He was in his own area with his buddies and they didn't really talk to anyone else the whole time. They had beers, some food and ice cream. Rob was dressed very low key and had a hat on."
Perhaps partying with a couple of ordinary guys kept the female groupies from approaching him because another source stated, "I don't think they (Pattinson's friends) were famous — and if they were, they weren't recognizable. They all seemed to be in a really good mood."

It's good to know that after all this time, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been able to maintain a healthy and romantic relationship even when they are apart. Seriously, being able to spend time alone is just as important as spending time together.

Taylor Praises Kristen

Kristen Stewart has just received some pretty high public praise from one of her Breaking Dawn co-stars. But it didn't come from her boyfriend, Robert Pattinson. It's her good friend, Taylor Lautner, who's heaping on the compliments about her buzzed-about role in the upcoming movie, Snow White and the Huntsman, which she's currently filming in London.

While Pattinson has been hitting the Los Angeles scene (think hot spots like Soho House) without Stewart by his side, Lautner has been out and about promoting his new action flick, Abduction, and obviously keeping it no secret his support for K-Stew.

He chatted with E! News during Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, where the heart-throb gushed about Kristen Stewart's Snow White take. "Kristen's going to be cool and edgy and dark, and I think that's really exciting," he commented. Cool, edgy and dark? Those are definitely great adjectives to describe the sometimes brooding starlet whose Snow White character will no doubt be a warrior princess, rather than a helpless damsel in distress.


Of course, who could forget that Kristen Stewart has a bit of competition in fellow actress Lily Collins, who's also reprising the fairytale role of Snow White in a separate "Brothers Grimm" movie.

Ironically, Collins is also Taylor Lautner's co-star in Abduction, in which they reportedly share some steamy scenes together. But Lautner assured E! that he's rooting for both Kristen Stewart and Lily Collins, which is apparently totally kosher because the films and the actresses are "so different."

Nice save! Lautner knows how to make sure his lady friends stay happy ever after. And, don't forget, he's even working that charm with former girlfriend, country sweetheart Taylor Swift. It looks like the pair might even be rekindling their romance... maybe!

WELL CALM SHMALM. Here's another picture of Bella getting ready to walk up the aisle, with her emotional looking parents watching on in the background, Charlie seems to be keeping to character and trying to distract himself with something so his tears don't come out.


We also get a proper look at Bella's hair in what looks like its finished form - so far we've only seen it from the back, and when it was mostly down as Rosalie started the plaiting.

Breaking Dawn Cast Was "Crying a Lot" Filming Finale

After five years and four films together, it's natural to assume the cast of the hugely popular "Twilight" franchise became emotional when they finished filming both halves of the "Breaking Dawn" finale. According to the cast, they needed plenty of tissues.

"We were crying a lot," Nikki Reed said during MTV News' Comic-Con 2011 "Takeover" live stream event.

Co-star Elizabeth Reaser agreed: "The last day of filming definitely was emotional because Peter Facinelli and I wrapped at the exact same moment. ... It was Facinelli, Ashley [Greene], Kellan [Lutz], Jackson [Rathbone] and myself, and we were up in Squamish [British Colombia] just doing stunts and night shoots, and then they finally wrapped Peter and I," she recalled. "We were just completely shocked and hugging, and then we went out and we had a little meal together.

"It was surreal," Reaser continued. "It was nice that I got to finish with Peter, since he's my show husband — forever."

So, who was the most emotional castmember? "Rob [Pattinson]'s probably a mess after ending this," Reed said with a smile.

"Rob cried a lot, actually," Reaser added.

"He shaved his head over it," Reed joked, making light of Pattinson's curious new coiffure. "He was crying so hard he had to cut all of his hair. ... A therapist should be called," she teased.

Getting away from the crying and emoting for a moment, we asked Reed and Reaser what scenes they're most looking forward to seeing in the finished films.
"There's actually some freaky, weird scenes that I want to see," Reaser said. "I want to see the freaky birth," she revealed, "and there's all kinds of weird, crazy, strange, scary, beautiful stuff in this movie."

Reed said she wants to see "all of it." "I want a freaky, weird wedding," she added, before getting serious about her character's emotional evolution in the final two films: "I was really nervous about the relationship between Rosalie and Bella. This was a very specific dynamic, and I wanted to make sure that it felt like the transition happened naturally and organically," she explained. "I'm nervous about seeing all of it. I'm a nervous wreck about all of these movies."

Robert & Kristen: Together After Twilight?

But one Facebook responder made a good point by highlighting that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart aren't "typical Hollywood," which is probably why they've stayed together for this long despite their busy schedules and time spent apart. Even now, Robert Pattinson is chilling in L.A. while Kristen Stewart is filming Snow White in London.

Both actors play their real-life pretty cool and keep things low-key and down-to-earth. If any Hollywood couple stands a chance, all bets should be on R-Patz and K-Stew.

Kellan Launches His Own Clothing Line

Kellan Lutz keeps a low profile as he leaves a mall on Sunday (August 14) in Los Angeles.

The 26-year-old Twilight actor, who was joined by a buddy, left the shopping center with a bag of goodies!

Kellan recently launched his own clothing line at Nordstrom’s, Abbot + Main, a “25-piece men’s ready-to-wear collection,” according to the LA Times.

“I put in a lot of input now like I did in the beginning. We raided my closet to find out what type of shirts I usually wear and what kind of fabrics I like,” Kellan said.

“I didn’t just want to be the face of the campaign, but have it be my brand,” he concluded.

Breaking Dawn Soundtrack to be Released Nov. 8th!

Soundtrack album of "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I" has got an official release date. The compilation CD is set to hit the stores in the United States on November 8, ten days before the movie arrives in theaters across the country.

The songs included in the album remain under wraps, but it was reported that "Sister Rosetta (Capture the Spirit)" performed by Noisettes might make the cut. The rumor emerged after Bella's pre-wedding clip was shown at San Diego Comic-Con with the track featured as a backsound.

Last month, Evanescence revealed their hope to land their song in the album. "I've been screaming for [new song] 'My Heart Is Broken' to land in that, because I think it would fit the story so well. I got sucked into the 'Twilight' vortex by the girls at home, so by default, I've got to watch it," said drummer Will Hunt.

Nothing has been set in stone just yet, but the first single is expected to be unleashed soon. The first installment of the "Twilight Saga" features Paramore's "Decode" as the first single, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" has Death Cab for Cutie's "Meet Me on the Equinox" on the lead, and "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" has Muse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)" as the first offering.

"Breaking Dawn" itself will follow newlywed Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan as they grow a new family. At the same time, they face a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, the fearsome council of vampire leaders, setting the stage for an all-out battle.

The last chapter in the "Twilight" series, "Breaking Dawn" is split into two parts. While "Breaking Dawn Part I" will hit U.S. theaters on November 18, "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" is set for November 16, 2012 release.

Bella's Wedding Dress to be Available in Stores this Fall

In the upcoming movie Stewart and Pattinson's characters Bella and Edward walk down the aisle and Boo Boo, who plays werewolf Seth Clearwater, revealed what happened during filming.

He said to Us Weekly: 'It was weird. I was sitting there and I was like: 'This is actually really touching.'

'I think [Billy Burke] made that scene really great because he had to walk her down the aisle, and I think he really did a great job.'

Speaking about Stewart and Pattinson, he added: 'Since I've met them, for the past two years, they're exactly the same.

'It's not like I get to hang out with them all the time, but every time I've been with them, it doesn't matter how crazy the situation is, they're always so laid-back.'

While they promise the birth scene in the movie is not as grotesque as the original rendition in the novel, Kristen had a succinct comment: "It was hell, actually. Though she told fans the scene was "tones down" from the book, Kristen Stewart admits she popped a few blood vessels in her eyes, rolling them back in her head to indicate the depth of her agony. And on the subject of blood, the actors said there will be no coughing up of blood—which opens the birth scene in the book. Bella, who is pretty much living on donated red stuff at that point—sorry, if that's a spoiler—barfs up her last meal all over the white sofa.

Can anyone imagine a film director passing up a moment so graphic? Generally, films up the tempo of the novel they are working with, but Breaking Dawn was pretty gruesome to start with. They didn't want to scare away younger viewers.

Most important, Kristen Stewart and the other actors revealed that the scene is developed through Bella's eyes. As readers know, Bella is trying not to let her beloved Edward know just how much pain she is in, as that might upset him. Poor Edward. And of course, Edward and Jacob are working together, in the hopeless-appearing task of keeping Bella from becoming actually dead, as opposed to the merely undead she is hoping for.

The whole thing is complex and confusing, but it's good to know Kristen Stewart will be an active part of the scene. Maybe the camera crew captured those real burst blood vessels, as a part of the sequence where her eyes turn vampire red. Stay tuned.

Ashley: I Loved My Breaking Dawn Bridesmaids Dress

Ashley Greene is looking forward to the wedding scene in the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I because it'll give her a chance to show off her bridesmaids dress.

While most of the focus on the nuptials has been on what Kristen Stewart is wearing as Bella -- who will be dressed in Caroline Herrera -- Greene says her outfit is equally exquisite. She told InStyle, "I'm really excited for everyone to see my dress, too. I loved it."

Green says that the dresses worn by Alice, a member of the Cullen clan, and other wedding guests were made with a corsets in them until the cast revolted, "There were corsets in them and we took them out by the end of the movie. We were just like, 'We don't care!

There's dancing and stuff like that so that was the only part that I didn't like because that was so uncomfortable, but once the corset came out I loved it."

Greene added that she had input on her wedding look, "It was a collaboration for the dress. We wanted to have the bridesmaids fit together and also have their own identity. So, we took a little bit of Alice's past and put it into her dress."

Lea Michele Meets Taylor Lautner

If someone were to ask Glee’s Lea Michele if she was on team Edward or team Jacob, she’d probably answer team Jacob.

The actress met the Twilight stud for the first time on Thursday at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s luncheon, and made a big impression on the actor.

Michele, 25, who was introduced to Lautner, was as giddy as any Twilight fan might be when meeting their favorite werewolf. She greeted Lautner with a hug and told the crowd “I promise to control myself.” Although she felt she may have scared him, he thought she was a “doll.”

"I was so nervous. I was just shaking and shaking,” she told E! Online ‘s Marc Malikin. She added that after pictures she told him “it was going to be our wedding picture. He is going to think I'm crazy,” she said.

But Lautner didn’t think she was crazy.

"I love her. I had never met her before. She is such a doll,” he said.

Even though Michele would love to see Lautner appear on Glee, which came as a suggestion after their meeting, Lautner would rather not do it.

"I definitely can't sing," he said. "That would be a nightmare."

Kellan Refused to Audition for Edward Role Because "Too Depressing"

Kellan Lutz refused to audition for the role of 'Twilight's' Edward Cullen because the character is "too depressing."

The hunky actor -- who plays Edward's adopted brother Emmett in the vampire franchise -- revealed he was originally asked to try out for the part that eventually went to Robert Pattinson but he turned it down because he wanted a part that made him "smile".

Kellan explained to JustJared: "I didn't want to do it. I spent so much time filming in Africa before that, seven months, and that's a long time to be away from your family and dogs. My agent wanted me to read for Edward and I read the script and thought that character was too depressing for me right now, I want to do something where I smile. I wanted to take a break from acting and I said that, I turned it down, I turned down the audition a couple of times."

However, Kellan's agent insisted the film would be career changing and convinced him to audition for the role of big brother Emmett, who Kellan loved for his "comedic" characteristics.

Kellan said: "Ryan, my agent at the time really knew it was going to be a special project so he told me to read the role of Emmett, and I read it, it was only about four lines, but he was the big brother, the comedic relief and I fell in love with him. I said 'Sure, I would love to play this type of role'. I auditioned, and long story short, here I am finishing the saga and Emmett is going to be in my heart forever."
