Twilight Mentioned on American Idol
Last night on American Idol, Randy Jackson compared Adam Lambert to Robert Pattinson. Randy's comments start at 4:35. Be sure and watch it from that point to the end to see Ryan & Adam's reaction to Randy's comment. I watched this last night and it was cool to hear Twilight being represented ~ and smart move on Adam's part for mentioning he's read all four books!!!

Bronson Pelletier lands "New Moon" role
There may be many rumors about who is still going to be cast in “New Moon,” but now there seems to be some definite casting news to report. Canadian actor Bronson Pelletier, best known for his work in shows like “Renagadepress” and “Dinosapien,” has signed on for an as-yet-unknown role in “New Moon.”
“Congratulations to Bronson who scores a lead role in the highly anticipated ‘Twilight’ feature film sequel ‘New Moon,’” a note on the Web site for the actor’s reps, Carrier Talent Management, reads, reports Access Hollywood. “It’s rumored he will be co-starring with Dakota Fanning.”
Bronson’s role has not yet been confirmed by Summit, and it hasn’t yet been confirmed if he’ll play a vampire, werewolf or human. But, his Native American background may suggest that he’ll be playing one of the werewolves of the Quileute tribe. His heritage falls in the Plains Cree tribe of the Askinootow First Nations.

While at the Academy Awards, Robert talked about "New Moon,”: “I think there’s going to be some continuity. But it’s weird, because they are shooting it in a different city [than the first film]. I’ve talked to [Weitz] a bit, but we’ve only talked about my character; I haven’t really talked about the whole look of it. But Chris is great with visual stuff, so it should be pretty impressive.”

Ashley Greene on "New Moon" Script
From Extra:
Only "Extra" joined "Twilight's" Ashley Greene at Las Vegas' Prive Nightclub inside Planet Hollywood as she celebrated her 22nd birthday... and dished about this year's most anticipated sequel, "New Moon!" "I'm so excited. I finally, finally got the script... and it's good," she revealed. "It's really good... I'm really excited to work with Chris [Wentz, director]. I finally spoke to him the other day." She added, "I like it better than the first one. I might be biased because I have a bigger part."
As for "90210" star AnnaLynne McCord joining the cast, Greene said, "AnnaLynne is actually a friend of mine, so I have heard about her being cast. There are a lot of rumors, but that one holds a little bit of weight... I hope so. She's a great girl."
When asked how the success of "Twilight" has affected Greene, she said, "It's nice for me because as Alice, a lot of people don't recognize me because my hair is longer and everything's a little different so it's kind of slowly happening. Versus poor Rob [Pattinson], who went from nobody knowing him to everything being documented." Revealing the weirdest fan request she's received, Greene said, "I finally got asked to bite someone at a convention."
Although the paparazzi have yet to catch up with Greene, she admitted, "I have no social life... right now it's my career... it's very, very difficult to have a boyfriend." What does she look for in that special someone? "Someone that I can completely be myself around... Someone that gets along with my friends... if they don't get along with my friends, that's it, it's done."
"New Moon" will take a bite out of theaters in November 2009.

Robert Pattinson at the Oscars!
From MTV.com:
Reports that "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson would appear at the 81st annual Academy Awards were confirmed as the actor took to the red carpet and then the Kodak Theatre stage on Sunday night to present a montage of romance scenes.
Pattinson introduced the clips alongside "Mamma Mia!" actress Amanda Seyfried, confirming his current breakout status and watching a brief cut to "Twilight," which was included in the retrospective alongside "The Wrestler," "Iron Man," "High School Musical" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
"It's insane," Pattinson told MTV News in an exclusive interview from the red carpet before the ceremony. "When they first told me about this, I was like, 'No, no, no, no, no, you're joking — or I'm going to have to do something really stupid like get gunged [slimed]!"
Pattinson appeared to be taking in all the excitement surrounding him at his first trip to the Oscars, ready to make the most of his newly found spotlight. "I don't know what to get out of it," he confessed.
Pattinson arrived in true Oscar fashion, sporting a sleek, standard black tuxedo and wearing his grown-out hair lightly tossed around with a subtle patch of scruff on his chin.
Once onstage, the actor spoke briefly with Seyfried about the subject of love in film. The pair recalled the prevalence of romance in popular film, dating back through 1927's "Wings," the first movie to win a Best Picture Oscar when the awards were presented in 1929.
"What it is, how to get it, how to keep it and what to do when it goes incredibly wrong," Pattinson listed among the perspectives on love that have been addressed over the years on screen. As recent participants in unique romance tales, he and Seyfried noted their own contributions. The London-born star touched on his specific plight as Edward Cullen in "Twilight."
"I had to become a vampire to find the right woman," he joked.

New Moon Logo
From MTV.com: As Juliet once said to Romeo: A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Now, modern-day star crossed lovers Bella Swan and Edward Cullen are getting ready to carry on with their cinematic love affair. But will the second “Twilight” movie smell as sweet now that it has a brand-new name?
MTV News has the scoop on the official name and logo for Chris Weitz’s soon-to-film sequel to “Twilight.” Dubbed “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” (although the title treatment leaves off the “’s”) the film’s official title art stays true to the look of the first movie while swapping in an orange tint, a subtle crescent moon, and the release date of 11.20.09.

Weitz Not Directing "Eclipse"
According to EW.com:
Chris Weitz will not direct the third film in the Twilight series, Eclipse, a source close to the production tells EW.com exclusively. Because New Moon, which Weitz is helming, and Eclipse are due to be released so close together (on Nov. 20, 2009, and June 30, 2010, respectively), Weitz will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will be shooting. That said, the source confirms a report that the movies will not be shot simultaneously or back-to-back; there will be a brief gap between the production of both films. (Reporting by Adam B. Vary)

Madonna ~ Possible Contributor to New Moon Soundtrack
EW.com is reporting: Widespread Internet chatter that Madonna may participate in some capacity in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, may be only partly true, a source close to the production tells EW. Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the movie series, has no plans to cast the pop star and sometime actor in New Moon. However, because Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, is a producer on the project, there is some talk of her providing songs for the sequel. Still, no deals have been made yet, and the plans haven't progressed beyond the that'd be cool stage. (Reporting by Christine Spines)
Of course, everything is still speculation, but what do you think?

Robert Pattinson ~ Presenter at Oscars?
Let's hope this is true!!!
Hitfix.com is reporting: After being the first outlet to report that M.I.A. had delivered her baby and would not be performing at this year's 81st Academy Awards, HitFix can now exclusively confirm that Robert Pattinson will be presenting an award during this year's telecast.
The "Twilight" star had long been rumored to appear on Hollywood's biggest night, but barring any unforeseen last minute conflicts, he'll be giving the franchise's legion of fans something to look forward to on Oscar Sunday.
Still unclear is whether Pattinson's "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart will also appear on the telecast and what award he will specifically present. And, obviously, speculation will now run rampant on who Pattinson's date down the red carpet will be.

Oscar Night ~ Twilight "In"
From EOnline:
Twilight may not be nominated for any Oscars, but that doesn't mean the movie won't be a part of Hollywood's biggest night on Feb. 22.
"I promise you, there will be a presence," Laurence Mark, a first-time producer of this year's Academy Awards, tells me. "You'll see. I promise there is and on more than one occasion."
If Twilight doesn’t give Mark and his co-producer Bill Condon a huge jump in the ratings, we can't imagine what would.

More Twilight Makeout Scenes!!!
"Didn't get enough of those wistful Robert Pattinson lip-locks? Not to worry.
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke told Entertainment Weekly that the DVD for the vampire phenomenon, hitting shelves on March 21, will feature deleted makeout scenes.
Indeed, additional undead tonsil hockey will be available when the disc is released, presumably expanding on love scenes between RPattz and Kristen Stewart."

JoBros Want to Write "New Moon" Song
From the LA Times: Who's hotter? The Jonas Brothers, or Robert Pattinson in "Twilight"?
One thing's for sure: Together, they could rule the teenage girl world.
The Jonas Brothers talked to MTV about being involved in the "New Moon" soundtrack. They'd even love to write a song especially for the new film.
"The movie was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part of [the sequel], that would be great," Nick Jonas said.
"It would be really cool." Joe and Kevin agreed: "That would be really cool"
Settle down, dudes. Before they write a song for "New Moon," they'd have to actually see "Twilight."
"I haven't seen it," Joe admitted. "But I have heard it's a great movie." Kevin added that they often get advance DVDs and "watch them on plane rides."
According to the JoBros, "Twilight" is not just for girls.
Joe admires vampire Edward Cullen's strength. "He's a vampire, but he's pretty strong and stuff."
Turns out the Jonas Brothers got pretty close to the L.A. "Twilight" premiere. They'd been invited, but got stuck working on their TV show all day. On the way to their hotel, the tired lads stopped to pick up a pizza in Westwood.
Surprise. The pizza place they ordered from just happened to be across the street from the premiere. "And so, we come up driving, and didn't realize that it was the 'Twilight' premiere," Kevin said. "It was one of those comical moments that was really funny for us."

Wal-Mart's "Twilight Shops" Coming Soon
From Reuters: NEW YORK (Reuters Life!) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc, is hoping that the vampire romance movie "Twilight", which was a surprise hit at the box office, will mean runaway success at its cash registers.
Twilight, based on the best-selling novel by U.S. author Stephenie Meyer, boasted a bigger opening North American weekend box office than the James Bond movie when it landed in theaters in November.
The Twilight movie DVD is slated for release on March 21, and to appeal to fans Wal-Mart will open "Twilight Shops" within each of its 3,500 U.S. discount stores starting in mid-March.
Wal-Mart said it will sell the DVD movie and CD soundtrack along with Twilight clothes, posters, jewelry and key chains.
Fans can also place early "pre-orders" on Wal-Mart's website for the Twilight DVD ahead of its nationwide release, and Walmart.com will post news about upcoming fan events and activities.
Wal-Mart is not the only retailer looking for a Twilight boost. Teen retailer Hot Topic Inc has seen brisk sales of its Twilight T-shirts, sweatshirts and jewelry. Its website is also taking early orders for the Twilight DVD.

Robert's Stalker Experience
Okay, this is just too funny. Maybe Robert has hit on something ~ Bore your stalkers and they'll let you live in peace. By the way, stalking is NOT cool!!! It's best to get your Twilight fix by checking out the websites, attending premieres and watching the movie, not by hiding in the bushes!
From MSNBC.com: LOS ANGELES - How did “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson finally rid himself of a persistent stalker? According to the actor himself, all he had to do was bore her.
“I had a stalker while filming a movie in Spain last year,” Pattinson told Crème Magazine, as reported by England’s Press Association. “She stood outside of my apartment every day for weeks — all day every day. I was so bored and lonely that I went out and had dinner with her.”
Unfortunately for the obsessed fan, Pattinson did not have the fairytale first date in store that the woman might have been hoping for.
“I just complained about everything in my life and she never came back,” the 22-year-old said. “People get bored of me in, like, two minutes.”
While it may have worked on this young woman, it appears as if the public is not getting bored of Pattinson anytime soon.

With his hair slowly but surely growing back, Robert Pattinson was spotted out at the Vogue Dinner hosted by Alexandra Shulman and Nick Jones on Friday night (February 6).
Held at Cecconi's in London, the "Twilight" hunk sported a charcoal jacket over a navy buttondown shirt with black trousers and Nike's as he mingled with guests including Tom Sturridge and Andrew Garfield.
And while on this particular night he was out for Vogue, recent chatter tells that Robert is pegged as the April 2009 coverboy for GQ magazine.
Ever the hot property these days, Pattinson and his "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart have been featured on the March cover of Australia's "Girlfriend" magazine, as well.

HSM vs. Twilight - Who's the Better Tween Queen?
From Kim Wetter at BuddyTV.com:
"The debate, although initially heated, had subsided slightly. That is until rumors surfaced that Vanessa Hudgens was putting her name in for the bitter but misunderstood werewolf Leah Clearwater. Hudgen's reps claim that this rumor has no merit, but still, the debate was sparked again. Twilight fans offended High School Musical fans by their outrage at such a potential casting decisions. High School Musical fans, in turn, upset the Twilight fans when they expressed joy that Vanessa wouldn't be taking such a small part in, what they considered, a less important franchise. Would Vanessa have outshone Kristen Stewart? Was the project beneath her? Let's try to put all loyalties aside and figure out who truly is the better leading lady: Kristen Stewart or Vanessa Hudgens? To figure out which girl makes the better leading lady, I compiled a list of questions to determine which young woman is better teen queen material."

30 Hottest Dudes Under 30
From FoxNews.com:
13. Robert Pattinson, 22, gained some recognition as Cedric in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," but it was his role as Edward Cullen in the ridiculously successful flick "Twilight" that vaulted him into our Top 30. Vampires are hot.
I think I'd have to list him quite a bit higher than 13!

AnnaLynne McCord as Heidi?
From EOnline: Another 90210-er may be making a stop in the Twilight zone.
I'm hearing that filmmakers have been considering the idea of casting 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord as Heidi in the upcoming New Moon, the much-anticipated sequel to Twilight.
Heidi isn't a major character in the book, but McCord definitely has the gorgeous looks to pull it off.
The character is a "fisher" who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. She's also known as "bait" because of the way she uses her stunning looks to attract humans. In her brief appearance in the book, Bella describes Heidi as having "exceptional, unforgettable" beauty. She has stunning legs, long hair and violet eyes.
Sources tell me McCord has auditioned for the role. "It's not a big part," one of the sources said. "Heidi would be more like a cameo."
McCord should feel pretty comfortable on the set. Her 90210 costar Kellan Lutz—and rumored real-life boyfriend—played Emmett in Twilight and will return for the sequel.
McCord's rep did not immediately comment nor did a rep for the studio, Summit Entertainment.

Stephenie Meyer Blasted by Stephen King
Stephen King apparently doesn't like Stephenie's writing. Boo-hoo! I'm sure this announcement is going to change so many Twilighters' opinions ~ yeah, right. Click here if you want to view the entire article.
Here's a tidbit from MTV.com, where apparently Mr. King is putting down "Twilighters": "Attempting to explain the enormous success of Meyer's novels, King speculated that Twilighters simply aren't yet ready for a depiction of real, adult romance: "It's exciting and it's thrilling and it's not particularly threatening, because they're not overtly sexual. A lot of the physical side of it is conveyed in things like the vampire will touch her forearm or run a hand over skin, and she just flushes all hot and cold. And for girls, that's a shorthand for all the feelings that they're not ready to deal with yet."
Teenage girls are not the only people reading (and loving) these books. Stephenie Meyer has given us clean, entertaining books and its' about time someone did. Apparently the world craves this type of entertainment! Just check out how many Twilight & Harry Potter fansites there are! People love these books whether Mr. King does or not. We do respect his opinion because we're all entitled to our own; however, that's all it is, an opinion.

People.com Alec Poll
People.com has a poll regarding who should play Alec. Remember he is Jane's twin, so if Dakota Fanning does get the role, then Alec needs to resemble her.
What do you think?
"With Dakota Fanning tapped for the role of Volturi vampire Jane in Twilight sequel New Moon, the casting of Alec, Jane's undead twin brother, is director Chris Weitz's next challenge.
Compared to Jane, "his hair was darker, and his lips were not as full, but he was just as lovely," writes author Stephenie Meyer of Alec in New Moon.
Possessing the ability to numb a victim's senses, quiet but deadly Alec could be well-played by Tom Felton, best known as Harry Potter's foe Draco Malfoy. Some other suggestions? High School Musical's Lucas Grabeel could follow his serious turn in Milk with an even darker one as the bloodsucker. And French actor Gaspard Ulliel of Hannibal Rising would bring a terrifying pedigree to the character, while Freddie Highmore, who sweetly stole scenes in Willy Wonka and Finding Neverland, could bring out his bad side.
As two of the Volturi's highest-ranking guards, Alec and Jane are fearsome foes of immortal Edward and his human love Bella, to be played again in New Moon by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Which rising star do you think can best embody the evil Alec?"
Click here to vote on People.com. Who else do you think would make a great Alec?
