EW.com is reporting: Widespread Internet chatter that Madonna may participate in some capacity in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, may be only partly true, a source close to the production tells EW. Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the movie series, has no plans to cast the pop star and sometime actor in New Moon. However, because Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, is a producer on the project, there is some talk of her providing songs for the sequel. Still, no deals have been made yet, and the plans haven't progressed beyond the that'd be cool stage. (Reporting by Christine Spines)
Of course, everything is still speculation, but what do you think?

I think that would be even worse than the Jonas Brothers!!!
I agree with Two Tiemans!
Don't you think there are just too many people trying to jump on the Twilight bandwagon? I hope this doesn't get out of hand....
I agree, Cindy. Seeing how big twilight is has many stars wanting a piece of it. The problem with that is that if everyone takes a piece of it, what is left for us fans? A part of the appeal of this love story in the first place is that it was written by a first-time author, made into a movie with little known, or unknown actors. Now, if lots of big names and well-known faces jump on for the ride, the dynamics change and the story loses some of its appeal. I certainly hope that doesn't happen!
UGH!! Not Madonna! We want something fun and funky that follows the first movie's soundtrack. Madonna's days are over as far as I am concerned and she will be a waste of money! Besides, can she even read??
hmmm..i agree whole heartedly with the above four commentors..NO MADONNA PLZZ!
I want Chris Daughtry to write a song for New Moon. I love his music and think it would be a perfect fit!! Forget Madonna!
I concur with you all. Madonna is NOT a good fit for our beloved saga. I absolutely LOVED the Twilight soundtrack - and that they fit the songs into the movie itself - was fantastic! I think Evanescence has more to offer for New Moon (think "Taking Over me"). Love Paramore and Muse for another shot too!
madonna? no way!!! yuckie.
Well, I just have to comment that I believe that Madonna would be an exceptional contributor to the series' soundtrack and maybe even as as a part in the film itself! Despite so many people's perceptions of her supposed "aged" music, she is an exceptionally brilliant songwriter and singer! Shame on of all you guys for being so narrow-minded! If you would actually listen to a lot of her works you would see (or rather, hear) that she is just as capable of writing music as all of those supposedly progressive (they all seem alike and stuck in the same, repetitive music styling to me) singers and bands like Daughtry and the like. We need something new and brilliant; and Madonna is that new and brilliant, no matter how long she's been in this business, it's about the music that counts!
