'New Moon' Opening Early in France?

LimeLife.com is reporting:

Trip to France, anyone? We might have to if we want to be the first to see New Moon. Reports are saying the second movie in the Twilight series is set to open in France 2 days earlier than in the U.S.

According to the New Moon trailer that debuted in France, the movie is set to open on November 18. It's set to open in the United States on November 20. Does that mean France is going to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reprise their roles as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan before anyone in the U.S.?

Well, we're still hoping the U.S. will change their mind about that November 20 opening date. Yes, most movies do open on Fridays, which November 20 is. But some movies that are expected to be extremely popular actually open on Wednesdays, giving them a 5-day opening weekend. For instance, the recently released Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, opened on a Wednesday; as will Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

There's still 5 months until November, so we're hoping Summit will change their minds and decide to release New Moon on November 18. We think they will since they surely won't want all of France seeing the movie, and possibly spoiling it, before anyone in the United States.

Robert Beat Up - But Just For A Movie Role

From MTV.co.uk:

Robert Pattinson appears to have been beaten up in shocking new pics - but don’t panic Pattinson fans, it's just a little make up!

Twilight star Pattinson, who is currently on the set of his new movie Remember Me, looked bloody and bruised yesterday as he stepped out of his trailer on his way to the set.

CHECK OUT ALL THE PICTURES OF PATTINSON BEAT UP RIGHT HERE

His current film Remember Me is set to hit cinema’s in February 2010 and focuses on two lovers, whose relationship is threatened by their own family tragedies.

Pattinson portrays one half of this couple, while former Lost sweetheart Emilie de Ravin plays his girlfriend.

It’s not clear why Pattinson is beat-up in the pictures, but there’s no doubt that even bloodied and bruised Pattinson stills wows his female fans.

So glad it was just for a movie role ~ we definitely like this look much better! Just can't get enough of that smile.....

The Scoop on Bella's Cake

From Kimberly Sherman at www.examiner.com:

The pinnacle of the birthday party scene in New Moon, aside from the paper cut Bella receives and subsequent attack is the beautiful birthday cake that Alice has so graciously provided for the party, despite the fact that Bella is the only one who would partake.

In an exclusive interview, I learned more about the beautiful confection. Lisa Haas, wife of the creator, Thomas, fills in readers about how the cake came to be.

Blissfully unaware of the Twilight Saga, Haas was approached to concoct the confection after the set designer’s creation didn’t turn out as expected. Though he doesn’t know the significance to the green color palette, he was able to replicate the design perfectly in one day.

In Style Magazine asked Lisa for step by step instructions on recreating the cake:
1. Cover each cake tier with a "mask" of white fondant [a thick, malleable icing]. Stack tiers from largest to smallest.
2. Separate one package of fondant into 5 batches. Use food coloring to tint each batch a different shade of green.
3. Roll each batch of fondant into a thin sheet and cut into strips of varying width.
4. Attach the strips around each tier using stiff royal icing as glue.
5. Place red, yellow and green Gerbera daisies around the bottom of each tier.

The cake used in the movie is a show cake, meaning the inside is not an edible substance, but the outside is comprised of the sugared fondant. Haas says that, were it an actual cake, it would feed 50 to 55 people.

New Moon is not the first production to request the professional touch of Thomas Haas. He’s also made confections for License to Wed with Robin Williams and The L Word with Jennifer Beals. “We've also done chocolate showpieces and cakes for Stargate's 100th episode and Stargate Atlantis,” says Haas.

Thomas Haas Chocolates has a plethora of accolades. In fact, Thomas Haas was named one of the top ten pastry chefs in the country by his peers. But the award that they deem most important is the service excellence award provided by their local chamber of commerce. Lisa says, “We really care about good service being provided to our customers by our staff and this award helps us

Little Brown reveals a new bookcover!

Entertainment Weekly gives us a preview to the new New Moon book cover! I personally think it looks pretty good. What do you think? Do you love it, too???
"Attention Team Jacob: Little, Brown has revealed their cover for the movie tie-in edition of New Moon, which features an exclusive image from the Twilight franchise's second film. Taylor Lautner fans should certainly pick up more than a few copies (Those arms! That smoldering stare! Remember, he's only 17!). As for Team Edward...well, at least the image proves that the moon is not, in fact, made of green cheese."

Rob and Kristen a couple? Or is this another tabloid lie?

I was checking out at the grocery store today and this magzine cover caught my eye . . .

I know, I know, its a tabloid right? But it still got me thinking. Maybe its true?! I went to Life & Style's website and this is what I read,

"As Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart filmed their intense, romantic scenes as lovers Edward Cullen and Bella Swan in Twilight, they began to fall for each other offscreen. That makes perfect sense, according to their castmate Ashley Greene. "I get little crushes on a lot of people who I work with," Ashley, who plays Alice Cullen, told Life & Style at Rock & Republic's Robertson store opening on June 11 in LA. "You have to make yourself believe there's something about them that you love." But now that Rob, 23, has successfully wooed Kristen, 19, away from her boyfriend Michael Angarano, one insider wonders where their relationship will go. "For Rob, half the attraction with Kristen was the chase," the insider reveals. "He pursued her so heavily -- being a crazy romantic, proposing marriage and everything. Now that Rob's with her, it's just anticlimactic."If Rob loses interest, it could have a major negative impact on the next three movies in the Twilight series, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. "People are just so enamored with the connection that they portray on-screen. If they failed to do that in the second and third ones, I think we'd be in trouble," Ashley says. "They're great on-screen, and obviously they get along," Ashley tells Life & Style. "But maybe they should just not be a couple until after the fourth movie, Breaking Dawn."

Thoughts? Is this for real? Or another lie to sell a magazine. . .time will tell. . .

'Respect Me' Campaign ~ From LetMeSign.Com

From Kimberly Sherman at www.examiner.com:

In the wake of Twilight fan attacks upon Robert Pattinson during the filming of Remember Me in NYC and most recently, the reported cab clipping, the fan site LetMeSign.com is putting together a campaign designed to get the entire Twilight fan base, both teen and mature, to leave Robert Pattinson alone.

Dubbed “Respect Me,” the bones of the campaign read:

"We know that he is in the spotlight and everyone wants to know what is he doing or where he is, but there are ways to do so properly, and we know so many girls in the world want to know him, be near him or take pictures with him.

"He is not an OBJECT, he is a human being that NEEDS to walk, breathe, WORK or even smoke in peace!

"So, we decided to start this campaign against all that we think is not cool to Rob! He needs to be respected! You need to respect his private life!"

The site asks any fellow sites interested in participating to post a “Respect Me” banner, signifying the plight to leave Robert Pattinson alone.

"If you want to help us, just save one or many of our banners, avatars and buttons and paste it on your blog, fan site, website, live journal, fotolog, etc with a link back to Let Me Sign so the people can see this and help us to spread the word!"

This is a fantastic idea, especially in the wake of the most recent circumstances, as reported by RadarOnline:

"Rob was clipped by a cab around noon in front of the bookstore where the 23-year-old London-born actor had been inside most of the morning filming scenes.

"A team of five security guards were trying to fend off a crowd of teenage girls when Rob was leaving the bookstore.

"It was pouring rain as they tried to hustle him quickly across the busy street to the safety of his trailer. Some of the teen girls were hysterical and Rob rushed across the road. As he did so, a taxi grazed him. The cabbie slammed on his brakes as soon as he realized what had happened.

"It appeared as if the cab hit Rob in the hip. He stood there for a moment looking stunned. The bodyguard next to him checked if he was okay and then screamed at the fans: 'You see what you did, you almost killed him!'"

This is my pledge to remain a “Respect Me” site. Take the time to talk to your kids about the utmost importance in respecting others; this mayhem is the end result of those who refuse to show another human being respect, regardless of his popularity and status.

Then show your dedication by commenting and expressing your support maintaining the respect that Rob deserves!

'New Moon' Key Scenes Discussed

From AceShowBiz.com:

Though several stills and the first official trailer of "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" have been released, details of the highly anticipated "Twilight" sequel keep pouring in with the discussion of the film's key scenes. Taking it to MTV, several cast members of the vampire drama series opened up about Bella's three-way date and the infamous birthday scene among others.

On the three-way date, actor Michael Welch who plays Mike Newton in the series revealed that the scene almost ended up on the chopping block. "Kristen [Stewart] and Taylor [Lautner] had to lobby to get this one scene in the film that wasn't originally in - and I am forever indebted to them for that," he fessed up.

He then went on explaining on the scene itself, saying "There's a scene that's in the book, the three-way date between Jacob and Bella and Mike, where Mike ends up getting sick, and it's just very awkward." But, he promised that audience won't see his character projectile vomit or anything in the movie. "We're talking a little bit," he shared. "A little sick."

As for the Bella's party gone wrong scene, Peter Facinelli recalled the day they shot the scene where Jackson Rathbone went all out for portraying the anguished vampire Jasper Hale. "He unleashed the madness; it was crazy," he said. "It took me and Kellan [Lutz] - non-acting - to hold him back." It was said that co-star Elizabeth Reaser also got knocked over during the take.

"Jasper, played by Jackson Rathbone, kinda loses it when Bella cuts herself," Lutz chimed in. "It's fun to work with your friends and see a side of them that you really don't expect. That's where the acting comes into play. Jackson did an amazing job portraying that scene, and it was fun being my character to try and stop him."

The two scenes aside, Taylor Lautner shared on his on-set improvisation. He recalled, "We'd just be in a random forest and, after Jacob transforms [into a wolf], he all of a sudden becomes very agile, and I wanted to show that, because pre-transformation, he's clumsy. But as soon as he transforms, he's agile. So we'd be in a random forest, and I'd be looking around going, 'What can I do to show Jacob's agility in here?'"

"Sometimes [director] Chris [Weitz] would be like, 'No, Taylor, we don't want you getting hurt, spraining an ankle,'" the 17-year-old added. "But I was like, 'Well, how about I just jump off that and then jump through this?' And he was like, 'All right, give it a shot.'" More on other scenes' details can be read via MTV.

A sequel to highly-popular movie "Twilight", "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" is based on the second book by Stephenie Meyer and will hit the U.S. theaters on November 20. This time, Edward will leave Bella abruptly, leaving her unguarded from outside threat. While devastated, Bella is comforted by her growing friendship with Jacob Black.

New Moon Premiere ~ Can Fans Get Tickets?

We've received many emails regarding the New Moon premiere and how to get tickets. Well, here's an article from EOnline that, unfortunately, gives us some not-so-good information.

From EOnline.com:

As people-friendly as studios would like you to think they are, they aren't—at least when it comes to ordinary people sullying their star-studded events. Anyone who has covered a film premiere knows they're really just self-congratulatory PR gatherings limited to stars, moguls, friends of said stars and moguls, and the press. A smattering of ogling fans may work their way down the red carpet via radio contests or Web giveaways, but that's about it. Any riffraff that wants to see or meet a star gets the exciting privilege of standing behind a cordon and getting barked at by security clowns.

I've received no indication from Summit Entertainment that the New Moon premiere will be any different...

Officially, the studio tells me, it has no confirmed details on that premiere. But here's how things work in general.

"The more high-profile the movie, the harder it would be for the general public—and less than A-list stars—to get tickets," says publicist and former Sony publicity associate Marc Kruskol. "There are rows set aside for the stars, the filmmakers and their guests. Studio bigwigs usually have reserved seats as well. Other invited guests include agents and other industry-related folks."

As for anyone else, Kruskol says that, "For lower-profile movies, some seats may be offered to seat-filling groups. This doesn't happen too often, but it happens."

Why the snub against fans, given that this is supposed to be all about, you know, premiering a film to the public? Space is one reason, of course, but, I am told, so is safety.

"There are several reasons for not permitting the general public to attend," says Chris Rogers, director of risk control for Aon's national entertainment group. Those reasons range from "maintenance of a 'positive vibe' during the show (e.g., no booing or catcalls) and the general comfort and safety of the stars and other above-the-line personnel."

Can't have doughy knuckle-draggers too close to the Olympians, you understand. Someone might get pawed.

So, to sum up, "A New Moon premiere ticket for fans who aren't the kid of an agent or haven't won some kind of contest is probably unlikely," says DVA Media's Ava DuVernay, who currently handles campaigns for Warner Bros. and NBC Universal. "Premieres serve two functions: press and buzz."

Notice that "thanking the fans" is not one of those two functions.

Robert Clipped By a Taxi - He's Okay

From CBCNEWS.CA:

British actor Robert Pattinson, one of Hollywood's current young heartthrobs, was clipped by a taxi Thursday in New York while filming a new movie.

The 23-year-old star had been shooting a scene at a Manhattan bookstore when he attempted to cross the street and was grazed by a taxicab.

According to media reports, Pattinson had been attempting to escape a clutch of overzealous teen fans.

Witnesses reported that Pattinson did not appear to require medical attention, walked away from the incident and returned to work on Remember Me, a forthcoming romantic drama.

A spokesperson later downplayed the incident.

"The reports are exaggerated," Vivian Mayer, a spokeswoman for the film's production company, said in an interview. "It was not caused by his fans."

Exaggerated or not, this is something a fan could cause. This is serious stuff, people! Stop harrassing these (and all) actors!!! Let them live their lives in peace.

Kristen's New Look

From Take40.com:

Is 'Twilight' star Kristen Stewart having a REALLY bad hair day?? Nope, it's supposed to look like that! The Twilight star is currently wearing a mullet for her role in the upcoming film 'The Runaways' - about the life of Joan Jett.

Kristen's new look is an homage to Joan, who rocked the dodgy do throughout the 70's and 80's, right through to today.

The pair hit Sunset Studios in LA on Monday, along with Kristen's castmate in both 'The Runaways' AND 'New Moon', Dakota Fanning, who will play singer Cherie Currie.

Joan Jett's band 'The Runaways' were a legendary all-teen-female band in LA in the 70's.

'The Runaways' comes out next year.

Jackson Rathbone Talks New Moon

Shock Till You Drop have a new interview with Jackson Rathbone AKA Jasper Hale -

"We wondered if he noticed a big difference with the vibe on set having a new director with Chris Weitz replacing Hardwicke and with the added pressure of making a sequel to such a big hit. "Whenever we got back to film 'New Moon,' the first day I was back, all the cast was hanging out in Peter Facinelli's room and it was just like a family reunion. It was like we'd been away for a month; it didn't seem like a year. It was just really nice to kind of get back together and have that family environment. In terms of having a new director, nothing really changed too much. It was just a different subtle vibe, because the director manages the energy on set. It was great. We all wanted to come together and make another great piece of art for the fans. It's really about what they want to see, because they're the ones buying the tickets."

He did say that the recent trailer didn't show the entire scene of him getting thrown into the piano, but that he did get to do a lot more of his own stunts in the movie. "That's only the beginning of it. They didn't show the entire thing. It's gonna be a really action-packed movie."

To read the interview in it's entirety click here.

Time to Beef up Security!

Courtesy of E!Online

"After Rob's fan attack in NYC the other day, all eyes are on studio execs as to how they are going to beef up security for probably the world's most famous star right now.

Seriously, the easy access to Robert Pattinson was pretty shocking. No wonder he and Kristen keep their personal lives quiet. Twi fans can get a little nuts!

So is Summit going to do something about it? We've only been waiting almost 24 hours to find out!"

Wow.

Kristen's Thoughts on Bella

From EW.com

Michael Sheen, who plays Aro in the The Twilight Saga: New Moon, has said how seriously Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson take their roles in the franchise, and after reading this Metro World News interview with Stewart, I'm starting to believe him.

• Explaining Bella's role in the second film, she says, "She loses the man she's in love with, but she also loses her entire life plan, and she's so young to have to be forced into a decision like that. It's just a glorified, elaborate version of the worst breakup you've ever been through. All of a sudden you question everything. All of a sudden you know nothing and you're dropped in the middle of a freezing cold ocean. Oddly, we have a character that's warm enough and bright enough to bring her out of that, and it's truly gut-ripping. Because as perfect as Jacob is for her, she holds on to an ideal, the ultimate fiery love that she has for Edward even though it's not comfortable, it's not practical and it's not a good idea. So it's really a very strong thing to do. It takes someone who really trusts themselves."

• Asked if Bella is introverted or just seeking an ideal, she says, "It's not that she's incredibly introverted. She's just yet to have found a connection that is truthful. She's a seeker of the truth. She's not one to get wrapped up in something that is a fantasy. She doesn't set herself up for disappointment. So that's what makes the story with her and Edward so compelling, in that this is a girl that normally wouldn't do something this crazy."

All this talk about Edward being "an ideal" and a "connection that is truthful" made me think back to a conversation I had with a friend who didn't understand why Bella and Edward were actually drawn to one another -- besides the fact that he's hellahot and her blood is like his own personal heroin. Is it more romantic if a love is somehow destined -- like in a scent or an imprint -- or if the connection is actually explained? Do you feel like it's explained in Twilight? Is it as basic as a lion wanting to take care of a lamb, and the lamb wanting to feel protected? (Probably not, right, since Bella isn't actually safe with Edward?) Maybe Bella is the only teen in Forks who ever wanted to listen to Edward's Debussy CD?

Dang!

Do you think this is really his body? I know he's buffed up, but dang! How old is this kid? I kind of think this isn't him. I think he's huskier. Plus, his face looks photoshopped.
Thanks for sharing Katie!

Robert Promises 'New Moon' Looks Amazing

From MTV.com:

If you don't think Robert Pattinson is the hottest movie star in the world, there were 7,000 people inside the Gibson Amphitheatre and millions more all over the world who would have disagreed with you on Sunday.

As the star of "Twilight," Rob was part of the team that dominated the MTV Movie Awards, trading in his eardrums for a Breakthrough Male Performance trophy and announcing his arrival as a Hollywood superstar.

When RPattz wasn't getting faked out by Kristen Stewart, hit on by Jim Carrey or talking about whatever was in his pants, he took a moment to give a backstage interview to MTV News during the show. Grins were exchanged, hair was tousled and upcoming projects were discussed.

MTV: Rob, you won Best Fight tonight. How did it feel up there on stage?"

Robert Pattinson: It made me feel really tough; really hard. I don't think I've ever won a fight in my life, so it was cool.

MTV: And it must have been nice to be up there with Cam Gigandet again.

Pattinson: Yeah, Cam won. That's crazy that he's won two years in a row.

MTV: A year ago, people barely knew you guys when you attended the MTV Movie Awards. What's the biggest difference you see as far as the chaos, the fans, the reception?

Pattinson: I mean, it's completely polar-opposite. I didn't even think anyone knew who I was last year.

MTV: We're about to debut the "New Moon" trailer. Give us your reaction to it.

Pattinson: I haven't seen it yet.

MTV: You haven't?

Pattinson: This will be my first time seeing it.

MTV: Well, I'm sure you've seen the 15-second preview online, where you're kissing Kristen, right?

Pattinson: I haven't seen anything! I mean, from what I've seen from playback and stuff when I've been shooting it, it looks amazing. So I think ["New Moon"] should be [good]. I'm keeping it as a surprise from myself.

MTV: Are you going to have time to shoot anything before "Eclipse"? What are you going to shoot next?

Pattinson: I am. As yet, it's still untitled, at the moment, but I'm going on Monday to start shooting it. It's a kind of drama, love-story kind of thing. It's cool; it's a really great script.

New Moon Cast Happy With Chris Weitz

From EOnline:

The best part of Twilight was Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Loved the books, but the movie...well. We think it could have been done a tad better—and I think the cast of New Moon agrees. That's why when we saw the trailer last weekend we were über-stoked because we could tell it was gonna kick butt.

Maybe having a different director, namely Chris Weitz, the second time around was the key.

And the cast seems to concur:

Peter Facinelli told the A.T.:

"When we shot Twilight, it felt like it was an indie. We were racing the clock. Catherine [Hardwicke] was fantastic, but with New Moon it felt like we had more time to play. The atmospheres were different. They were both great...in their own ways. I just think New Moon is going to be incredible."

Michael Welch also told us how better prepared they were to film from day one.

"When we all got on the set the first day, [Chris Weitz] gave us this packet of 30 to 40 pages of what he wanted the film to look and feel like—how he was going to shoot it, all of that stuff. The thing is, both Chris and Catherine—I don't want to say one is better than the other. They are polar opposites in terms of style. Catherine can only succeed in chaos, really. But Chris is the exact opposite; he's so calm and has all his stuff together. He really made this film great."

Contrary to some reports out there, Christian Serratos dished that New Moon is "still really close to the book, but it's hard to explain.

"When I read the script [for Twilight], I was just like oh my God. I knew what was going to happen because I'd read the book, but when I read this script. Wow. I was on pins and needles wondering what was coming next. It's just that good."......

In 'Life & Style' Now: Behind the Scenes of 'New Moon'

Just days before accepting the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart perfected their smooching skills during a 10-hour shoot for Twilight's sequel, New Moon, on May 27 in Montepulciano, Italy. From 6 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Rob readily puckered up to his gorgeous co-star, capturing the emotional reunion scene between their characters, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. "They were happy and laughing throughout filming," spills a set extra. "It was like they were the only two actors on set."

All eyes have been on cast members from the moment they descended on the quaint Italian town in late May. Pictures of Rob were placed in windows of village restaurants, bookstores replaced Tuscany guide displays with the Twilight series and the Montepulciano Tourism Center piled New Moon posters and fliers on its front desk. Despite all the attention, Rob's managed to share a few stolen moments with Kristen, who's maintained a flirty relationship with Robert while supposedly dating actor Michael Angarano. "I saw them surfing the Internet together," a hotel bartender at the Grand Hotel Admiral Palace in nearby Chianciano said. "They were looking and laughing at something."

The rest of the British heartthrob's time was spent filming -- and refining his six-pack abs. An insider reveals that producers told Rob to work out every day for the movie but believes the request was just a ploy to keep him from drinking the night before big scenes. "It was their way of keeping him in line," says the insider.

The charming rolling hills of Italy offered a marked contrast to the content of the New Moon shoot. "These are the most frightening and nerve-racking scenes," Ashley Greene, who stars as Alice Cullen, tells Life & Style. "It's when [the powerful Volturi vampires] are debating whether to kill Edward and Bella." But thankfully the Italian jaunt wasn't all dreary business. "I had a day off and went to Siena," Ashley, 22, told Life & Style at the MTV Movie Awards on May 31 in LA. "I took a ton of pictures and went to all the cathedrals. That was really fun. "Italy was everything it's cracked up to be," she continued. "We were in Tuscany, and it was beautiful. It was amazing. You step back and you're going, 'This is what I'm getting paid to do?' We didn't want to leave."

Stephenie Taking Down MySpace Page

From stepheniemeyer.com:

A quick fyi: I am taking down my bloated myspace page. It was a lot of fun while it lasted, and I really miss the early days when I could hang out with people online. Many of you are hilarious and insightful, and I wish it was easier for me to talk to everyone the way I used to.

With the myspace no longer in existence, I can now clearly state that—beside than this website—there is no other outlet where I communicate with people online. I do not have a facebook page, and I have never had one. I don't do twitter. So if you're communicating with someone online that you think is me, it's not.

Hope you all are having a great summer so far! If you're looking for some beach reading, you might try Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series if you haven't already. My son finally finished book five yesterday so I could read it today. It was a fantastic end to a fantastic series. I tip my hat to you, Mr. Riordan!

Robert Hand-picked "Spider Monkey" Line

In the time since it was first revealed by MTV last year, it has gone on to become one of the most famous lines in the "Twilight" world.

"You'd better hold on tight, spider monkey."

And while an actual spider monkey isn't nearly as cute as Kristen Stewart, the phrase has taken on a life of its own, inspiring MySpace pages, T-shirts, and dozens of other fan tributes. Now, "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke is cluing fans in on the eight other lines that nearly became Robert Pattinson dialogue in that "spider monkey" scene.

"There's some stuff in here like ... well, like the 'Hold on tight, spider monkey' line," laughed Hardwicke last week when we < ahref="http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/05/28/catherine-hardwicke-opens-her-home-to-our-tour-of-twilight-origins">visited her house to see the fabled rooms where she held her "Twilight" casting sessions. In the kitchen's glass case, she showed us a dog-eared copy of her shooting script — with the "spider monkey" line scribbled into a margin.

"That would be [written in] the night before," Hardwicke remembered of the evening before she shot the now-famous scene where Kristen Stewart's Bella hops on the back of Pattinson's Edward, getting an eye-opening glimpse at his superhuman powers as they frolic through the woods together. "I woke up in the middle of the night. I thought, 'They're going to be climbing that tree, and they're not going to have anything to say. It's just going to be another scene of them looking into each other's eyes.' "

Unfortunately, the Writers' Strike had begun, and "Twilight" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg was no longer available to provide dialogue. "So I typed up, like, 10 ideas," Hardwicke recalled. "And thought, "OK, maybe they could say this ...' "

At this point during our interview, Hardwicke went over to her computer and printed out a sheet from her personal archives. Titled "Sc. 86 pt. DALOGUE ALTERNATIVES," the sheet lists the eight other options that Hardwicke wrote that evening.

"I gave it to Rob, the whole list," she explained. "And I said, 'Rob, which one do you want to say?' And he goes, 'I want to say the spider-monkey one'."

Hardwicke's unused lines range from simplistic to silly, over-the-top to right on target. Now, we give you a peek at some of the alternative lines that Pattinson did not select:

Option 1:
Edward: You're not scared of heights, are you? Bella: Not that I know of ...

Option 2:
Edward: Hold on tight ... Bella: Don't worry ...

Option 3:
Edward: Wrap your legs around me like a spider monkey. Bella: Done.

Option 4:
Edward: Got a good grip? Don't let go. Bella: No chance of that, buddy.

Option 5
Edward: Prepare for liftoff ...

Reading over her unchosen chunks of dialogue, Hardwicke told us that she was glad Rob picked the now-immortal "spider monkey" line. "It's a fun line," she grinned. "Thank god he picked that one."

Stephenie #26 on Forbes Celebrity 100 List

The Celebrity 100, which includes film and television actors, models, chefs, athletes, authors, and musicians, is a measure of entertainment-related earnings and media visibility (exposure in print, television, radio and online). The earnings estimates consist of pre-tax income between June 2008 and June 2009. Management, agent, and attorney fees are not deducted…

Among the newcomers on this year’s list: “Twilight” scribe Stephanie Meyer (No. 26) and country crooner Taylor Swift (No. 69). Meyer, who sold 29 million books and created a vampire frenzy, earned $50 million during the year-long period. Swift was the top-selling U.S. artist of 2008, banking $18 million off of a tour, album sales and endorsement deals.

Thanks Cullen Boys!

Aboard the Good Ship Twilight

If you've got the time and the money, I say go for it!

From www.independent.co.uk:

Until now, Hit & Run was convinced that, generally speaking, cruises were for OAPs, and Twilight was for teenagers. So a Twilight-themed cruise seems somewhat oxymoronic. Yet in August 2010 the good ship Oosterdam will set sail from Seattle for the first ever Twilight "Cruise to Alaska and Convention at Sea". And news that Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz – two stars of the sensationally successful adolescent vampire film – will be aboard should attract an age group unaccustomed to bridge parties and bingo.

Whether anyone else wants to join them on their inescapable, week-long fantasy fête is another matter. And most teens will be priced out of the trip by the cost of a cabin: $1049 per person for a two-person room with no sea view; $3299 per person for a four-person deluxe veranda suite.

Among the highlights of the trip will be autograph sessions with the two stars (who play vampires Emmett and Alice Cullen), a Q&A session and a costume ball. Plus, of course, the stunning natural beauty of the Alaskan coastline. There's even an optional pre-cruise package that includes a daytrip to Forks, the small, wet Washington town where Stephanie Meyer's story is set. What's next? The High School Musical Cycling Tour? The Star Trek Car Rally?

Unlikely 'Twilight' Celebrity Fans

From MTV.com

The franchise can already count millions of screaming girls as devotees, but "Twilight" can add some Hollywood heavyweights to its list of superfans. In a Movie Awards night packed with many unexpected moments, some unlikely celebrity Twilighters were also exposed. From Denzel Washington to Will Ferrell, it looks like just about everyone has "Twilight" fever.

MTV News caught up with Washington and his daughter, Olivia, who gushed about her love for the film and, of course, Robert Pattinson. Olivia said "Twilight" was "really good" and assured everyone that it's not "just a chick flick." While Washington admitted that he hasn't actually seen the film yet, he promised to make a movie night out of it with his daughter. "We'll watch it when we go on vacation," the actor said.

"High School Musical" stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens may have been in a PDA showdown with Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the Best Kiss category, but Efron put aside any beef and graciously hailed Twilight as a "great film" on the red carpet and said the Edward/Bella lip-lock was "a great kiss."

That kiss also brought out the inner superfan in Stephanie Pratt. When Sway caught up with Pratt after the show, the "Hills" star pegged the "Twilight" Best Kiss acceptance speech as her favorite moment of the night, but couldn't hide her disappointment that Kristen and Rob didn't smooch for real.

"When Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson ... were so close and the whole auditorium was like, 'Are they gonna? Are they gonna?' Then they didn't! But I was, like, dying to see them kiss." Pratt gushed on her way to the show's afterparty.

And you may have been a little confused when Will Ferrell was seen clapping enthusiastically during the now-infamous almost-kiss, but MTV News got the inside scoop: Ferrell is a closet Twilighter.

When the comedian was asked if he was a fan of the movie, he gave a true-to-form quick response. "Obviously," he said. "It's a gimme. You look at me, you're like Twiiii-liiight," Ferrell joked. And as for what "Twilight" team the "Land of the Lost" star supports? "I'm kinda Team Edward, I'm kinda Team Jim, I'm kinda Team ... Stanley."

OK, so Ferrell may not know all the movie's characters, but he did go on to profess his love for everyone's favorite brooding vampire. Ferrell confessed he tried [unsuccessfully] to meet Pattinson all night. "He [kept] going, 'Not now, not a good time.' " (We're not sure how serious he was about all this!)

One celeb that did get to meet the heartthrob backstage was Abigail Breslin. The "Little Miss Sunshine" star officially became the envy of teenage girls everywhere and even got to shake Pattinson's hand. The star jumped up and down in excitement after the encounter.

And finally, Kings of Leon may have been busy giving the crowd a rocking performance onstage, but backstage they showed love for the Best Movie winner.

"I really liked 'Twilight' a lot," singer Caleb Followill told MTV News. "It was a cool, generational kind of movie. I thought it was really pretty."

Kellan and Kola go for a jog

Our deliciously buff Kellan Lutz and his pretty pooch, Kola, took a jog in Los Angeles this past Sunday. We just can't get enough of this guy, he's gorgeous! And the dog isn't bad, either. :) Any opportunities to catch our hunky vampires sans shirt, we are totally on it. And look, he even carries around a plastic bag to clean up after his pup (what a man!). Thanks Just Jared! To read the article and view the rest of these dreamy pictures, click here.

Taylor Lautner: Photoshoot in West L.A.

I don't know about everyone else, but after watching the New Moon trailer, I was totally wowed by Taylor Lautner and his new look(namely those MUSCLES!) Wow. I was left speechless. This movie is going to make him HUGE! I love his hair shorter and the new bulked up bod. Below are pictures from a photoshoot yesterday, June 1st, in Los Angeles. Can I say smokin?

And one last piece of eye candy....

"Eclipse: Casting for Third Twilight Flick Underway"

Uk Eonline has posted the following by Marc Malkin:

Casting for the third Twilight movie has begun.

We got our hands on a casting notice for at least three characters in Eclipse.

Find out just what director David Slade is looking for. However, we must warn you that there are a few spoilers…

Riley "is a handsome, blond, clean-cut college boy who falls victim to Victoria," the notice reads. He's in his early to mid 20s and "plays an integral role in Victoria's attempt to murder Bella Swan."

There are two more members of the Quileute tribe and La Push wolf pack in Eclipse. Like New Moon, they are looking for Native American or First Nations actors to fill the roles.

"Seth Clearwater is a "tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin," the notice reads. "Seth idolizes Jacob."

Seth's big sister is 19-year-old Leah Clearwater and the only female member of La Push: "She is tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues."

Now that Eclipse is up and running, what about the fourth, Breaking Dawn? As much as everyone in the cast wants it to happen, it still sounds like nothing's official…yet.

"I'm signed for three," Peter Facinelli told me at the MTV Movie Awards. "I'm hoping that they make four. I mean, if New Moon does well, I think they'll make four."

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have said they want to make Breaking Dawn, too.

When asked about four, Ashley Greene said, "I can't even think that far in advance."

Or maybe she can.

"They're just going to have to make a Twilight Five," she cracked. "I will be forever known as a Twilight girl."

Greene and Kellan Lutz said they'll start shooting Eclipse in August.

'Twilight' Fans Still Hyperventilating Over 'New Moon'

From MTV.com:

There were plenty of "Twilight" moments packed into Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards —Kristen and Rob's almost-kiss, the Best Movie win, Kristen's fumbled Golden Popcorn —but the one thing fans can't stop talking about (or watching) is that long-awaited "New Moon" trailer.

"I've watched the trailer so many times, I have it memorized," MTV reader MissyTwilighter32109 wrote. "[It was] better than I thought it would be. I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL NOVEMBER 20th. It seems like they finally got it right this time."

Since the clip debuted less than 24 hours ago, Twilighters have taken to our comments sections to express their excitement for the film. Let's just say, the fans are pleased.

"OMG. I am still freaking out and have not come down from the high I felt watching the new trailer," NessieCullen wrote.

"WOW! I cannot stop watching it. And every time, I get goose bumps. I love everything! Especially Jacob!" Garrettbw echoed the praise.

While it may be too early to tell, if our superfans are any indication, it looks like the breakout star of "New Moon" will be Taylor Lautner.

"I [was] slightly concerned with how it will compare to the book, but once I saw Taylor Lautner burst into a CGI wolf, I [was] hooked!!" Munkygirl23 wrote.

Twilightgirl2316 is also on Team Jacob. "Jacob looks SO hot. I stopped breathing!!!!! The wolf looks amazing, just like I pictured. I don't want to wait until November. It's not fair!!!"

And though Lautner himself told us he thought the werewolf scene was "so cool," some fans aren't as sold on the special effects.

"AMAZING!" Zenster posted. "Except for the wolf. It looks like a cuddly stuffed animal."

"Hated hated hated the wolf also (so has everyone else I've talked to that I know). I really hope they make it better by the time it hits the big screen," Peebo55 wrote.

But one thing the Twilighters seem to agree on is that the film's November release date can't come soon enough.

MTV user Alicia put it simply: "I want the movie to come NOW, NOW, NOW!!!!!"
