Robert & Kristen on New Moon set

From Lainey Gossip:

This time with more emphasis on Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson shooting scenes as Bella and Edward. Never realised how skinny he is.

Anyway, yesterday (April 9th) was Kristen Stewart’s birthday. They all hit up a private room in a restaurant for a late night celebration: Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reed + female friend, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, his friend Sam, and Jackson Rathbone.

Taylor left first. Interestingly enough, at the end of the night, Kristen and Jackson took off together while Rob, Nikki, Sam, and Nikki’s friend got into a cab separately, and did NOT meet with up with the others.

Michael Sheen to play Aro!

I'm really excited to report that Michael Sheen, who plays the part of Lucian in the Underworld movies, has been cast to play Aro in New Moon. I am such a fan of the Underworld movies, so this is great news to me. I think he's a tremendously talented actor who will do a great job. This information was released from The Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail reports :

"Sheen, 40, who made his name with uncannily realistic portrayals of well-known figures in Oscar-winning films The Queen, Frost/Nixon and The Damned United, will get his biggest pay cheque yet, a reported £5million, to star in New Moon.

In New Moon, Sheen will play Aro, the leader of an Italian vampire clan called the Volturi.
Director Chris Weitz confirmed Sheen’s casting to The Mail on Sunday and said he had ‘aggressively’ pursued the actor.

‘Michael’s role is so important because he’s the head of all vampires,’ he said. ‘Aro is, on the surface, a very gracious and friendly vampire, but beneath that he is a tremendous threat."

Anyone else out there that is also a fan of Underworld? I have to admit it, I never even saw these films until after Twilight. It wasn't until then that I was interested in vampire type movies, but I'm glad I saw them. They were very good and now I'm that much more excited about New Moon. Yay!!!

Twilight Dolls

Jacob is now a "doll" and has joined Edward and Bella. The dolls are from Tonner and are said to be available Spring 2009 ~ which would be now, right?

New Moon Shines on the Beach

From Canada.com:

Making a movie is challenging enough without also having to fly under the radar as the producers of New Moon, the Twilight sequel starring Robert Pattinson as teen vampire Edward Cullen, have learned.

Stephenie Meyer's four teenage vampire romance novels and the film based on the first one are the biggest international pop-culture phenomenon since Harry Potter.

Before a two-day shoot inside Pacific Rim National Park Reserve even began on March 20, it was shrouded in such secrecy it was code-named the Untitled Sports Movie.

As desperate as such measures might seem, the saga's huge, obsessive base of "Twi-hards" have made it unavoidable.

"To preserve the content of the material you're trying to capture, with such a large fan base who know the nuances of the books so well, you have to go over-and-above ordinary means of protection," co-producer Bill Bannerman explained.

"It's to give the director and the group the space they need to work," he said, adding the fan fervour is understandable. It's the nature of the beast. They analyze and want to know, but you're building a film one shot at a time. So when people see only one piece of the puzzle, they might take it out of context. It only represents two per cent of the grander scheme."

Peter Facinelli - Twilight Cast Like Family

From the Press Association:

Peter Facinelli has said it's great being back with the Twilight cast because he sees them as "family".

The actor is reprising the role of Dr Carlisle Cullen in New Moon, the sequel to the vampire flick, and said "it was a lot of fun rejoining with the cast - it was like we hadn't even missed a day".

Peter, who stars alongside Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the films, went on: "It's really interesting because it's always been like a family."

Peter, whose screen credits include TV show Damages, said the make-up for the movie helps him get into character again.

He said: "You put the make-up on, you put the contact lenses in, you look in the mirror. There's the character. We have different contact lenses that are going to 'pop' a little bit more."

Peter also revealed he's set to make the third film in the series.

"Eclipse we're shooting in the fall," he said. "If the fans come out for the second movie and third movie, hopefully we get to shoot the last book and complete the series. That would be phenomenal."

Stephenie & Kristen Spotted at Vancouver high school

All I have to say is, thank goodness for the Vancouver Sun and all their New Moon updates!

VANCOUVER — Several dozen students and fans gathered at David Thompson secondary in Vancouver Tuesday hoping a for a glimpse of the stars on the set of Twilight: New Moon.
They were not disappointed.

A few lucky Twilighters saw series author Stephenie Meyer beyond the barricades set up outside the school cafeteria where filming is taking place. A single officer from the Vancouver Police Department is keeping the crowd in line.

The four books penned by Meyer have sold millions of copies and spawned an army of fans worldwide.

Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan, was also seen on set today. Robert Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward Cullen, was not in evidence.

The halls and cafeteria at David Thompson have been redecorated to resemble the high school at Fork Washington, where the Twilight stories take place.

Forks High Spartans flags, banners and trophies (in a fake trophy case) were brought in to complete the look.

While the crowd was composed mainly of teens from the school, some older fans made the trek to south Vancouver when word of the shoot got out on Twitter and The Vancouver Sun website Monday night.

Thompson student Simrit Sian, 14, skipped her science class to join the fans watching the action.
She was hoping to see Taylor Lautner, who plays werewolf Jacob Black, a rival to vampire Edward for Bella's affection.

"He's so hot," Sian said of Lautner.

Thirty-two-year-old Katrina Bergen is a live casting artist who came to the set on the chance she might get a cast of a movie star's hand. She has reread all four Twilight books over the past six days.

"I don't know why it appeals so much," said Bergen. "It's just a great love story."
In the past few weeks, fans have been running off their feet to catch glimpse of the stars around the city. Film crews have been spotted at Minnekhada Regional Park in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows and on location at Tofino near Long Beach.

Photos are circulating of Lautner at the Ridge Theatre and Varsity Ridge bowling alley, which was apparently being used Monday to stand in for the movie theatre in Port Angeles, WA. Lautner is pictured talking and talking pictures with fans. Photos are at http://www.vancityallie.com/
Pattinson was seen dining at Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar in Vancouver's trendy Yaletown last week. A call to the manager confirmed that the teen heartthrobs frequent the restaurant "two or three times a week."

Pattinson also attended the Juno Awards reportedly was friendly towards fans, even giving a hug to a waitress who served him at Azia Restaurant in downtown Vancouver.
Stewart and Lautner were seen dining together apart from the rest of the cast at an Earl's Restaurant in Port Coquitlam and walking together downtown near Robson Street that same day.

Taylor Lautner on the set!

*Spoiler Alert* If you haven't read New Moon and don't want it spoiled by us as to what happens, please discontinue reading. Taylor Lautner came out to meet and greet Twilight fans while filming scenes for New Moon recently. Sources say that the scene he was currently doing was after The Breakup when Bella goes on a date with both Mike and Jacob. I have to admit, I'd almost forgotten about that part of the book, but it was a good one. Ah, I wished men fought over me that way, lol. :) Fans that flocked there that day had nothing but great things to say about meeting Taylor; he was genuine and really went out of his way to show he cared. I think he's looking pretty good, definitely bulking up. And those eyes, so intense!
To hear an account of one of the fans there (and to see more pictures), click here. I wish I lived nearby, I'd be on the set everyday, okay maybe not. What I meant to say was, I'd be there morning, noon, and night. :)

New Moon filming at a high school in Vancouver

VANCOUVER — Twilight film crews were rolling cameras at David Thompson secondary in Vancouver Monday — and an insider tells The Vancouver Sun they'll be back again Tuesday.

Vampire fans were craning their necks to catch glimpses of the Twilight stars at the high school on East 55th Ave.

It's unclear which New Moon cast members were on location, but stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are currently filming the blockbuster sequel in Vancouver.

Pattinson was seen dining at Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar in Vancouver's trendy Yaletown last week. A call to the manager confirmed that the teen heartthrobs frequent the restaurant "two or three times a week."

In the past few weeks, fans have been running off their feet to catch glimpse of the stars around the city. Filming crews have been spotted at Minnekhada Regional Park in Coquitlam, in Pitt Meadows and on location at Tofino near Long Beach.

Kellan Confident in New Moon

From The Press Association:

Twilight star Kellan Lutz believes the film's sequel is even better than its predecessor.

Kellan, who plays Emmett Cullen, is currently filming sequel New Moon in Los Angeles, and said he was impressed by the script.

"We have an awesome cast, like the first one," he said. "I love the script. The book was a little slow for me at the beginning, but this script, I like it even better than Twilight."

The actor is also enjoying working with director Chris Weitz, who made American Pie and The Golden Compass.

"It's really nice to have someone take the weight onto their shoulders, as the first movie, Twilight, was for us," Kellan said. "There's a lot of pressure on Chris. In the first week of rehearsals he had every question ready for an answer.
"He's doing a great job and he has such a great eye for the CGI aspects, as he did with Golden Compass. It's needed a director who has talent with CGI because of all the werewolves."

Robert Pattinson: One of the UNsexiest Men Alive? What??

So what's your opinion about this article? This ought to be good! Personally, Robert is HOT ~ (especially when he's Edward.) Are there moments when he's not so....sure, but who doesn't have those moments. Afterall, he's only human -- no wait.....

EW.com reports:

Goodness gracious, the turnaround time from buildup to backlash has become practically nonexistent now that last week's hot dish is being treated like this week's table scraps. That's right, ladies, according to the arbiters of doability over at the Boston Phoenix, Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson has been named the 100th unsexiest man alive. Say what?
Now, it's perfectly understandable to be feeling a little burnt out on the incessant hype surrounding Stephenie Meyer's vampire empire. Fortunately we at EW have resisted the urge to jump on the bandwagon and have been a model of targeted, judicious coverage. Okay, maybe not. But no matter how you slice it, the floppy-topped young Brit is far from being critically in need of a sexy transplant. The Phoenix dings him for alleged
stinkiness. But maybe the poor kid was feeling a little stressed out. And one woman's b.o. is another's dead-sexy pheromones. And don't get us wrong, Pattinson needs to put some serious mileage on his soul (all that silly brooding doesn't substitute for real grit and depth) before he makes our list of dreamweavers. But, if they want to maintain any credibility, they'd better stock the list with the true eunuchs of the world. Okay, PopWatchers, what do you think? Could the Phoenix possibly be onto something? Does Pattinson belong on this list? And who do you think belongs on that list? Who douses your fire the quickest?

Fan Made Trailer- New Moon

Let me start out by saying that I've seen plenty of fan made this and that. But this is by far the best trailer I've seen. Check it out for yourself. Thanks to TiffanyD666 for creating this, I think you did a great job. Making these trailers is not an easy task, believe me, I've tried to do similar things myself. As for Taylor Lautner (the real Jacob), there weren't enough clips of him for her to use, so the character is played by a different person. Even still, this is awesome! Enjoy!!! P.S. Be sure to pause the music on our playlist to hear this clip; turn up those speakers to get the full movie effect. :)

So, what did you think?

Kristen Stewart Not on Twitter!

From MTV.com: Did you guys know that Kristen Stewart is on Twitter? ...the “Twilight” star is reaching out to her public and giving us the latest reports as she heads back to Vancouver to film “New Moon.” Or is she?

“Rob and i have become youtube geeks, it’s so awesomely wierd [sic]!” tweeted ‘kristensss” recently. And when a fan asked her last week which store she’d turn up in for the big “Twilight” weekend DVD festivities, she replied: “I’m not allowed to say where I’m going to but yes the whole cast will be at different ones.”

Kristen even recently Tweeted about her jet-setting movie star lifestyle, as well as going to Europe for costume fittings. “A jet to italy, we did a script runthrough, we got custumes fitted, etc. It all standard pre-production stuff. We then flew back,” she explained. And, discussing her bff Nikki Reed, she revealed: “Nikki is on a diet because she has slight wieght issues, I however just eat what evr the (bleep)i like when i like.”

But if these Tweets sound too good to be true, it’s because they are. And “kristensss,” who currently has 4,917 followers, is a phony.

“She does not Twitter or Facebook or anything,” was the response we got from reps for the real KStew when we approached them. “[And] they haven’t even gone to Italy yet.”

For those accustomed to fake celebrity pages on MySpace and Facebook, the thought of a phony Kristen Stewart might be greeted with a resounding “duh!” But with so many flesh-and-blood celebs embracing the brave new world of Twitter, and with various sites running articles on how you can follow everyone from Jon Favreau to Diddy, it’s easier than ever for people to pretend they’re famous for awhile.

Why do they do it? Your guess is as good as mine, but while some Twitter accounts happily admit that they’re phony and thereby make them fun to follow, there’s a certain sadness to anyone who feels the need to pretend they’re a movie star.

Sorry to rain on your parade, Twilighters, but we at MTV try to set the record straight whenever we can. And if fake “kristensss” has invited you to meet up with her in Italy, you might not want to go buying that plane ticket just yet.

Ashley Greene Chillin' In LA

Taking a break from the Vancouver set of “New Moon”, Ashley Greene was spotted chilling out at the H.Wood Lounge in West Hollywood.

The “Twilight” cutie was looking sexy as she flashed a peace sign at the paparazzi, sporting a red and black plaid shirt with black jeans and black shoes.

From: The Fan-Sites Network

Rob's First Photoshoot!

Okay, I must admit that I giggled a bit when I first came across these pictures. Here he is, cutie pie Robert Pattinson, topless and in his underwear. Does it get much better than that? Um, well maybe. I think he may have looked better with his clothes on, considering how boyish he looks. Here he is this young kid (I wonder how old he was when this was shot); it kinda weirded me out seeing him trying to be all sexy. What do you guys think?
But I'll admit it, I did get a laugh out of the pictures, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. You can read more about this photoshoot along with more pictures in Star Magazine. Here's just a preview of what the article has to say:

"He's the planet's hottest heartthrob now, but Robert Pattinson was a shy, nervous beginner during his first sexy modeling shoot with (gulp!) a girl.

The Twilight star posed with British model Lucy Flower in 2001 in retro-style Miu Miu swimwear during a London shoot for the South China Morning Post newspaper’s weekend magazine. 'Robert was such a shy, reserved little boy back then, I never would have thought he had that kind of superstardom ahead of him,' Lucy tells Star in an exclusive interview. 'Also, I don’t believe he was very comfortable with the outfit he had to wear and the fact that he was shirtless. So it’s not surprising that he was so quiet and seemed so nervous that day.'

Pick up the new issue of Star, on newsstands now, for more of Rob's secret shirtless pics!"
And just one more thought, I was almost certain he was posing with a mannequin until I read the article. I had to look at the girl really closely to see that she was, in fact, a real person. LOL I wonder if that was the look they were going for. If so, they did an awesome job.

Twilight April Fools' Jokes

We were in the know about a Twilight April Fools' joke, but honestly, we just couldn't play such an awful trick on all our faithful followers, so therefore, we decided not to post it. But just for your enjoyment afterwards, knowing full well it's not true, you can read the article here. Honestly, this just isn't something to joke about :-) We didn't want to give people heart failure....

MTV.com has reported other April Fools' jokes:

Late Tuesday night, mere hours before it was officially April Fools' Day, blogs started to report that Robert Pattinson wouldn't appear in "Twilight" sequel "New Moon."

All the sites had different reasons for RPattz's exit from the film. PopSugar reported that he wanted out due to all the fan frenzy surrounding him and that he hoped to stick to smaller films in the future. The blog also said Taylor Lautner would assume the role of Edward Cullen. "Enraged fans have already started sending costume vampire teeth to Robert as a plea to get him back," the post read. "But it looks like he's sticking to his decision."

Meanwhile, ScreenRant.com reported that the "production of 'New Moon' has shut down due to a dispute on the set," adding, "It seems that star Robert Pattinson has been butting heads with director Chris Weitz over not only script decisions, but apparent favoritism towards cast newcomer Dakota Fanning. Fanning has a much more established acting pedigree than Pattinson, and according to reports, he's pretty torqued about the difference in treatment on the set."

The site also had a new Edward Cullen lined up: Zac Efron. "Apparently the director and producers were impressed by Efron's performance in another teen-targeted film: 'High School Musical,' " the post read. "They think Efron could be a good fit, and maybe even better than Pattinson in the role and for the box office of future 'Twilight' films."

Rest easy, Twilighters: RPattz isn't going anywhere.

Edward Playing the Piano

One of my favorite parts of the movie was Edward playing the piano ~ I just love talented men. And, of course, Edward looking so hot made it all the better!!!

Kristen Stewart - New Moon "More Tragic"

**Spoiler** Since there are so many new Twilight fans out there, I want to make sure you know this is a spoiler!! If you have not read New Moon yet, then don't read this article until you have :-)

From MTV.com:

As legions of “Twilight” fans no doubt already know, the vampire Edward Cullen leaves behind his town—and his true love, Bella—at the beginning of “New Moon.” That’s some heavy stuff, so it’s no surprise that the actress who plays Bella views the second book as considerably more harsh than the first one.

“It’s a struggle,” Kristen Stewart told the Los Angeles Times. “It’s almost lower-key, almost depressing. It’s more tragic this time around. It’s not as sunshine and roses.”

That’s not to say the original movie was some G-rated, feel-good popcorn flick. After all, Edward and Bella had to fight off blood-thirsty vampires throughout the film, and Ms. Swan eventually wound up in the hospital after a nasty bite.

But a vampire noshing on your flesh is nothing compared to being left behind by your true love. “[Bella] loses him, which is certainly a crazy concept for me to accept because that’s the basis for the entire first movie,” Stewart said.

Losing Edward means Bella dives into the troubling world of werewolves with her friend Jacob Black. But that adversity seems to be an opportunity for the teenage character to mature. “She grows up quite a bit,” the 18-year-old actress said. “She’s forced to, and she’s got strength and inner determination. A lot of people in her situation would be like, ‘OK, done.’”

While Bella is beset by challenges throughout “New Moon,” Stewart believes that with “Twilight” under her belt, making the second movie will be, if not easier, than certainly a fresh experience. “The beginning is different,” she said. “Preproduction is different. I’m not trying to make something. It’s already there, just going back into it. Different. It’s just a continuation.”

The continuation, of course, has already began. Filming is underway in Vancouver and the cast grows almost every day. The latest additions are Canadian model Noot Seear (who will play Heidi) and British actor Jamie Campbell-Bower (who will play Caius).

“It’s a different movie,” says Stewart, “but a lot happens.”

Auction/Raffle for Twilight Memorabilia

For those of you who don't keep up with Stephenie Meyer's official site, I have decided to post about an auction and raffle that she will be having soon for Book Babe. Click here to visit Stephenie's official site where she talks more in depth about this. The auction will be held in Tempe, Arizona. So darn, I won't be there, but if anyone lives out around that area, you should definitely go. She is auctioning all kinds of neat things, including the epilogue to Forever Dawn. Forever Dawn was the original title and sequel to Twilight (what we now know as New Moon). She wrote this epilogue back in January 2004 before even beginning the editing of Twilight. Meaning, this may be a tad confusing for some readers. Rosalie's name is still Carol, and there is this new character, Max-J Jenk's assistant (I believe J Jenks first makes his appearance in Breaking Dawn, correct me if I'm wrong). It's a good read, being over 3,000 words long. Sounds very interesting, indeed. And of course, this will be signed by Stephenie Meyer herself, along with EVERYTHING else she will be auctioning.
And check this out, also being auctioned are these cool marked up manuscripts for Eclipse and The Host- which are priceless. And a lunch with Stephenie Meyer will also be up for grabs (I'm sure at a hefty price). Wouldn't that be amazing, though.
Please go to Project Book Babe to learn more and get all the details. There will also be an online auction (through ebay, this is also on Book Babe's site), in which Stephenie will be selling some signed merchandise. Whoo hoo!

More New Moon Fan-Made Posters

This article is from Adam B. Vary from EW.com. I like how he's never actually read the books but by looking at these fan-made posters, he at least has some idea what New Moon is about. Let's hope Summit realizes we want cool posters like these!!! Whoever made these, awesome job!!

Adam B. Vary from EW.com:

"So, you guys, these two new teaser posters for the new Twilight Saga movie New Moon (pictured) are totally moody and sexy and aMAZing! I totally don't care if they aren't the real teaser posters and were made instead by some Twilighters with too much time on their hands and some wicked good Photoshopping skills, since they're so much better than these super fugly fan posters and the suuuuper boring teaser poster that debuted at ShoWest this week. Although I'm pretty sure that's not Robbie Pattinson's bare chest, and I'm definitely sure I've never actually seen or read any of the Twilight books and totally have no clue at all what New Moon is even about! Based on these two posters, though, I'm gonna guess that New Moon has something to do with castles, fog, sadness, and men's parfum. Tell me, P-Dubs, how close did I get? And do you likey some ab-solutely shirtless Pattinson (even if it may not really be Rob)?"

New Moon Casts Caius

From EW.com:

British actor Jamie Campbell-Bower has been cast as Volturi leader Caius in the Twilight sequel New Moon. The 20-year-old Taylor Hanson-lookalike, whose credits include RocknRolla and Sweeney Todd, tells BBC News that he will head to the set in June. "I do know who else will be in it -- but I can't tell you, unfortunately," he said. "But go online and have a look at the rumors.... They're all false. You're putting me in a terrible situation."

I pictured the Volturi as being older, but the books never said how old they were when they changed, right? just says that they were brittle and thousands of years old in vampire time. So what do you think? Personally, I think he's pretty good-looking ~ and it definitely looks like he can play creepy!!!!

Another Twilight Spoof

I know we've seen a lot of Twilight spoofs, but this one is so HILARIOUS. I just had to post it! The last minute is bloody, just a warning. I figure most of you reading this blog are okay with blood, seeing as that this is a vampire blog! :) Enjoy-this is a good laugh.
