Weitz Not Directing "Eclipse"

According to EW.com:

Chris Weitz will not direct the third film in the Twilight series, Eclipse, a source close to the production tells EW.com exclusively. Because New Moon, which Weitz is helming, and Eclipse are due to be released so close together (on Nov. 20, 2009, and June 30, 2010, respectively), Weitz will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will be shooting. That said, the source confirms a report that the movies will not be shot simultaneously or back-to-back; there will be a brief gap between the production of both films. (Reporting by Adam B. Vary)

i think they are doing these movies too fast. don't get me wrong, i'm excited to see them all, but there needs to be a bigger gap between the release dates! they need to have the fans begging for more. at this rate, its all going to be over and done with too fast! anyone else agree? and i'm also concerned they'll do everything so fast, that the quality of the films may be compromised. we'll see. . .

I totally agree with Holly! I don't want the Twilight experience to be over with in a couple of years! Anticipating something makes it so much more exciting. I don't have any problem with waiting a while ~ take your time and make the movies worth watching!

exactly, I mean I know the vampires are not supposed to age and so there is the concern with the actors looking older, but really, do any of us fans care about that? And it is much better having waiting and anticipated the movie releases!! Seriously....let us wait!! I would rather wait for a well-done, not rushed movie, than have a movie that looks like crap because it was thrown together in a rush!!

i agree, why are they rushing things for the saga?! there should be atleast a yr gap before the next series...it must've be good if weisz will direct the last 2 series.
