Is Kristen "Wiggin" Out in Eclipse?

From Examiner.com:

These things matter, you know. When you are a huge fan of a book series, like The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, and that series is being made steadily into films, one by one, then a franchise, and then grows into a worldwide phenomenon--well, small details matter to the fans. So it is with the transition actor Kristen Stewart has made from the hairdo she took on for her role as Joan Jett in The Runaways that she filmed this summer vs. what she has been seen photographed wearing on the set for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Many fans are not so hot for the new locks.

Ms. Stewart's role in The Runaways required black hair in a distinctive, severe cut to match rocker chick, Joan Jett's hair of the period (and even now). This "do" does not match the long, soft brown locks of "Bella Swan," the police chief's daughter from Forks, Washington. What's a hair stylist and actor to do? They may have tried several things, but one attempt that has made the Internet of late in set photos is clearly a wig, and fans are revolting. They don't like it. It looks fake, they say, and it does not look like Bella. Fan sites are discussing the ins and outs of this (not leaving out the comparison to Taylor Lautner's wig as young Jacob Black that he wore in the first Twilight film--many didn't like that, either). They are tweeting the studio, maybe even emailing, their objections. One fansite has even "Photoshopped" the problem area where the wig and forehead meet, softening it to make it look more 'natural.' It asks other fans whether they prefer the "before" or the "after" image.

Do film studios so closely in tune with a book series' fanbase listen to complaints such as this? Would they actually go back to Ms. Stewart's stylist and echo what the fans are saying, "Um, the wig? It isn't working." With costly reshoots and CGI or other technical fix possibilities, it's hard to say.

Maybe future set photos will reveal the answer. In the meantime, the studio can be sure that Twilight's loyal fans will continue to voice their opinions about their work in progress.

What do you think??

I loved the color of hair they gave her in Twilight, not sure this 2 tone look is Bella. She doesn't even look like she wears makeup let alone get a dye job on her hair.

I'm sure they will match the hair that Bella has in Twilight and New Moon. Come on, it IS Hollywood we are talking about. Make-up artists and hair stylists are the best of the best!

I don't see a problem with the hair either. You will be so intently watching the movie you aren't going to be looking at her hair that closely. I don't really care what her hair looks like, I just enjoy seeing how they bring the books to life on the big screen. Her hair looks great! I can't wait for the movies to come out.

I think like any young person its going to be normal for her hair to be different. It will just make for them to make her look super beautiful when Breaking dawn comes around:) Plus she is in the sun, its going to look alot lighter....

i think it looks fine people should give her a break she doesnt just have twilight on her mind and any way she can have the wig dyed to a darker colour closer to her original color.

i think she should have used a wig for The Runaways and just left her hair as it was in Twilight so it would look the same in New Moon, because The Runaways doesn't have a sequel to match her hair color to, but Twilight has three.

I will get so angry if she leaves that hairdo for eclipse. Bella would never have that sort of a hairstyle anyway! Imagine the posters with that messy hairdo on them...

I don't think it looks bad. Just needs a dye job. People calm down!

A as hair stylist, their are major differences in her Twilight hair and this wig.

The two tone effect is done incorrectly, the orange brassiness is grotesque and the chocolate luster is totally gone.

The ends are stringy and thinned out, so color is not the only issue. I have seen better $10 wigs at cheap wig shops. Why this monster?

When filming movies, unless the character undergoes a change (like chemo, perm, aging...) in the script, the styling must remain consistant.
