Eclipse Early Reviews

From Blogs.wsj.com:

For “Eclipse,” the third installment of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga, British director David Slade takes over helming duties, and according to the film trades, the result is…not bad! Slade — best known for his music videos and directing 2005’s drama “Hard Candy” with Ellen Page — and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg craft a film finally deserving of its hype, they say, and it will be interesting to see if the nation’s critics follow suit.

For anyone who’s been living under a rock for the past few years, “Eclipse” stars Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, a human teenager in love with vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and the object of affection for best friend Jacob, a werewolf (Taylor Lautner). When she’s threatened by the vengeful vampire Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard), Edward and Jacob form an uneasy alliance to protect Bella. Here’s a sampling of the early reviews:

“It took three films, but “The Twilight Saga” finally nails just the right tone in “Eclipse,” a film that neatly balances the teenage operatic passions from Stephenie Meyer’s novels with the movies’ supernatural trappings. Where the first film leaned heavily on camp and the second faltered through caution and slickness, “Eclipse” moves confidently into the heart of the matter — a love triangle that causes a young woman to realize choices lead to consequences that cannot be reversed.” [Kirk Honeycutt, Hollywood Reporter]

“”Eclipse” feels the most cinematic of the series so far, taking scenes out of the lunchroom and Swan house as much as possible. Slade shares Hardwicke’s aesthetic of using dramatic aerial photography to give the otherwise intimate tale a more epic sweep, and expands on it by repeatedly lining up the various clans like the subjects of a Vanity Fair cover shoot, their iconic group poses helping to make the movie seem as big as its following.” [Peter Debruge, Variety (subscription required)]

Red Carpet Quotes: Stars Spill at Eclipse Premiere

From EOnline.com:

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is finally here, and E! staked out the red carpet tonight at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre.

Here's what all the castmembers and celebs had to say as they hit the biggest premiere of the year:

"R.Pattz fever is a lot louder than George Clooney fever. The younger girls are a little louder."
Anna Kendrick on whose fans are more intense, Rob's or George Clooney's

"In like five years or 10 years, we'll have a much better perspective on what happened and what's happening, and then we'll give much better interviews. Right now, I don't know what to say except I can't believe it."
Nikki Reed on what she thinks of the phenomenal Twilight success

"The film better be good! [Jokingly] Um, people have just gotta sleep with me...then they'll know!"
Robert Pattinson when asked to explain fans' obsessions with him

"I don't think they meant it, but I got like a big blue mark on my forehead about five minutes after I got here. And I had to run back and, like, take it off. It was really embarrassing actually."
Kristen Stewart, on a little Sharpie mishap taking place on the red carpet

"It was intense in the tent! It was always a little awkward, especially when I'm shirtless and he's, like, grabbing my chest because he's mad at me...[Laughs.] It's a little weird."
Taylor Lautner on the tent scene he and Rob have in Eclipse

"This is the first time the film kind of departs from Bella's point of view, so it gives me something more to do."
Xavier Samuel on Riley's importance during Eclipse

"Having a mom who spanked you with a paddle...with holes in it...wood and with splinters. That's the secret."
Kellan Lutz on how he stays grounded amid the new success in his life

"It's definitely not easy...[Laughs.] I don't know, I don't know!"
Elizabeth Reaser when asked if she believes in the true love Edward and Bella represent

"It's what I love about what I do and the life that I'm able to have and be able to just be so normal one day and be here the next...I feel so lucky to be able to do what I do."
Dakota Fanning, when asked how she handles the success of the series

"I don't think he really knows how to play that well, which is why I keep inviting him back."
Peter Facinelli when asked how Robert Pattinson does at the celeb poker games he organizes

"We actually had a lot of fun with it. Kristen and I sort of have the same approach...That is not to overprepare or overthink things...We just kind of wanted to see what happened organically, and I think that's what came out."
Billy Burke, when asked how he and Kristen prepared for the sex talk between Charlie and Bella

"I'm like, 'Relax he's just a person!'"
Bryce Dallas Howard after revealing her father, director Ron Howard, constantly asks her about Robert Pattinson

"I think I'm the perfect fit for Bella!"
Greyson Chance when asked who he thinks Bella should end up with

"I think we're gonna see some fainters, and then some criers."
Sarah Clarke, when asked what she thought the reactions of the fans would be as the night went on

"Riley plays a crucial role in the books and in the movies, and I wanted to know more about him. Between Stephenie and I, we expanded on his character."
Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg when asked about Riley's development over the course of the films

"Guys always think that if they play this game or can come up with a clever thing, women see right through that and we will not talk to you. It's better to just be honest."
Jennifer Love Hewitt, giving Ben Lyons advice on the best way to approach women

"Everybody did as much of their own stunts as they possibly could. Some people were really up for it. Like, Kellan did most of his stuff...We dumped him in the river I think nine times..."
Eclipse director David Slade on the cast's willingness to do their own stunts

"I'm team Bella. Whoever she wants, that's who I want."
Marisa Miller when asked if she's Team Edward or Team Jacob

"It's chaotic. I have heard blood-curdling screams, and every time I hear it I think someone's being brutally murdered, but I realize it's a werewolf..."
Modern Family's Sarah Hyland when asked about the atmosphere on the red carpet

"It's the favorite among almost the entire cast...It's a culmination...There's so much tension this time around. We have to join forces with a vampire family to fight this new threat. So much cool things going on."
Alex Meraz when asked why Eclipse is his favorite of the series so far

"I had to drive past it on Sunset [Boulevard] every day for a month or two, so I kind of got used to it. Not too shabby!"
AnnaLynne McCord when asked what she thought of Kellan Lutz's Calvin Klein underwear ads

"All I know is, I wouldn't do that for my favorite movie, so to show their fan support like that, it makes me feel like I'm actually doing what I'm supposed to be doing."
Cameron Bright when asked about the fans who've camped out for days prior to the premiere

"I wanna know if you Twilight fans think the Bree Tanner books should be a movie."
Jodelle Ferland, posing her own question to the Twilight fans

"There wasn't anything outrageous. She didn't have a third arm or anything..."
Christian Serratos, when asked what she learned about Kristen Stewart behind-the-scenes.

Red Carpet Report: Eclipse Premiere

From USAToday.com:

Where: Nokia Theater LA Live, Los Angeles

When: Thursday night

Guest list: From the film: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Dakota Fanning, Billy Burke, Anna Kendrick and Bryce Dallas Howard. Also on hand: Jaden and Willow Smith, New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, Anna-Lynne McCord, Jennifer Love Hewitt, LA Lakers star Ron Artest.

The scene: Hundreds of die-hard Twilight fans shrieked themselves hoarse during three-hour parade of cast members. Clutching books and photos, the throngs expressed their feelings through a range of homemade posters. "What team? E or J?" seemed to capture the mood of the (almost entirely) female fan base on hand, Edward or Jacob. Many of the fans camped out overnight in front of the Staples Center, opposite the theater, and some were lucky enough to find their tent-city visited by Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlisle Cullen). "I made those hamburgers for them myself," he joked. "But really it's cool, we're all, the fans and the cast, are like this one big family bound together because we share something in common."

The would-be couple: Pattinson and Stewart deftly gave no fuel to the by-now established rumor that the two are dating, keeping their distance from each other for much of their carpet walk. When they did pose together for photographers, Lautner appeared on Stewart's other flank. Pattinson said he stays sane amid the hoopla "by just, you know, whistling a little tune and not thinking too much about it, because if I did I think I'd faint." Stewart, leggy in a short white, sleeveless dress, her hair pulled up, said she didn't need any particular Twilight-fame coping mechanisms. "It's a job," she said. "It's only crazy like this at these premieres, but otherwise I live a very normal life. I don't need anything else to ground me."

Dropping drawers: Among the publishable posters made by fans of hunky vampire Emmett Cullen, played by Lutz, was one requesting him to "show us your Calvins." Having spied the written request, Lutz smiled and yanked down on the black pants of his suit, revealing equally black Calvin Klein underwear (which matched the evening's appropriately black carpet). "Hey, they asked me to," he said, flashing a mischievous smile. The response was deafening. How does he keep the fans at bay? "It's all about the chastity belt," he said, adding, "Seriously, though, I love making a human connection to our fans. Some of them are literally crying, and it's nice to be able to reach out a hand and touch them."

Paging Bjork: Easily capturing the most-outrageous dress award was Reed (Rosalie Hale), whose Marchesa dress featured a short skirt consisting only of blue features, more feathers at her shoulders and everything in between a sheer fabric with appropriately positioned embroidery. And on her arm for the soiree? "My brothers, though my 10-year-old one is here with ear plugs it's so loud," she said. Reed was humbled by the fan reception and grateful they're keeping her employed. "I'm really glad to have the job, really," she said. And it's one that actually let's her keep her private life private; the brunette's character is a blond. "I can walk down the street and just be me," she said.

Native American pride: For Gil Birmingham (Billy Black), a big cause for celebration is Twilight's embrace of Native American actors and themes, "especially that we are cast in a contemporary setting as opposed to a historical one," he said. "I'm so excited to maybe get a whole new generation of Native American actors into the spotlight."

Giving back: Greene (Alice Cullen) had a loyal following, no doubt linked to her character's close bond with Stewart's heroine Bella Swan. But what makes the actress whose pixieish on-screen persona is in stark contrast to her long-haired elegance especially grateful to the Twilight series is less her newfound fame and more her ability to give back. "Look, I have a million followers on Twitter because of this movie, but what that really means is that if I tweet out that people should consider giving to donatemydress.com, all of a sudden that charity gets a response, and that amazes me," she said, sheathed in an Alexis Mabille dress. "I couldn't be luckier."

Celebrity muscle: Which stars needed not one but two bodyguards (compared to most who didn't bring any), and didn't speak to reporters? Pint-sized up-and-coming entertainment titans (just look at their parents) Jaden and Willow Smith.

Jimmy Kimmel's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" Special

Jimmy Kimmel Live: Twilight: Total Eclipse of the Heart was an hour-long, multi-colon special promoting the impending The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. I don’t know why Jimmy Kimmel was hosting it (Lost specials, yes; but Twilight movies and Jimmy?), but I’m glad he did. Who else would ask Robert Pattinson, “Robert, what happened to your dreamy, impossibly tousled hair?” I mean, besides the the most eloquent yet sarcastic Twilight fan ever?

The event took place in a theater in Hollywood packed with screaming Twilight fans. Rarely has an hour-long commercial for a movie been as much silly fun. The big three — Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner — the trio seemed to enjoy deflecting personal questions in favor of jokes and anecdotes. They spoke of performing karaoke in South Korea (Miley Cyrus songs were preferred choices), and answered Jimmy’s question about whether a vampire or a werewolf would fare better in a fight with a shark:

The stars were soon joined by many Eclipse co-stars, including Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Peter Facinelli. When it came time to take questions from fans, one civilian approached the microphone and asked whether any of them had “Justin Bieber fever.” The instant culture-clash provoked by that question was pleasantly, intriguingly absurd. When Kimmel said, “Yeah, [Bieber] should be in the next movie,” the crowd booed lustily. Kimmel hastily added, “Or, we could kill him,” the audience erupted in cheers:

......“This isn’t 60 Minutes, you know,” Kimmel said at one point. Exactly. Here’s a link to other clips from the special. It was an odd spectacle: Watching huge stars-of-the-moment shrugging off their fame casually, charmingly, while their fans expressed how seriously they, the fans, take that fame.

Rosenberg Says Breaking Dawn to Have Blood, Sex & More

Melissa Rosenberg says Twilight Breaking Dawn has blood, sex & more. According to some recent news, fans were worried that the 4th installment of the “Twilight Saga” movie series, ‘Breaking Dawn” was going to leave out birth scenes and other scenes that might be too intense since the movie is rated PG-13 instead of an R rating. Well, Melissa Rosenberg who is the screenwriter for the big franchise says, no way. It’s gonna have all that good stuff.

She recently stated on her Facebook page, “Hi y’all! Not sure where some of you got the impression I intended to leave birth scene out of Breaking Dawn, but it’s inaccurate. Of course the birth scene will be in there! And the sex scenes! And the feathers! And the blood! Perhaps you misinterpreted what I said about not needing to see BUCKETS of blood in or…der to convey the terror of the birth scene. But rest easy all! xoxo Mel.”

Kristen Talks About "Desirable Jacob"

From MTV.com:

The characters in the "Twilight Saga" have been through a lot. In "Eclipse," due June 30, Kristen Stewart says the trials and tribulations faced by Bella, Edward and Jacob are about to come to a head. And, things are going to get really real, really fast.

"There's a moment right before the big battle happens; Jacob gets emotional and crazy, and he's gonna try and hurt himself and fight," Stewart told MTV News about one of her favorite scenes. "And [Bella] gets to a point where the only way to save him is to kiss him, and what surprises her is, she's not only able to do it; she can clearly see that he offers a really desirable path that, before, because she was so obsessed with Edward ... she just had to like nothing else. She had no perspective, and so it's a moment."

Jacob making a strong case to win over Bella makes the supernatural "Twilight" characters seem more human than ever, Stewart said. "If she's ever reeled, it's that moment, and then two seconds after, she has to go talk to Edward about it, and he's heard everything," she said. "So it's a little bit more ... it's just not as fantasy. It's like a little bit more real. These are real people dealing with real problems; they're not just vampires and wolves."

This real issue all stems back to the flick's overarching love triangle, which becomes more intense in this film. "The love triangle is real," Stewart said. "In ['Eclipse'], she is just older and a little bit more [wise]. Now you really believe her. It took awhile for her to know herself well enough to make a decision."

MTV be live at the L.A. premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" on Thursday, June 24. Tune in to Movies.MTV.com at 9:30 ET (8:30 Central) for their red-carpet webcast, and watch them chat with Robert, Kristen, Taylor and all your favorite stars.

Mike Welch Discusses Eclipse

From Connie Barr-Martinez with mlive.com:

....At age 22, Michael is a seasoned actor with 19 films under his belt. Although the role of Mike Newton is small and getting smaller with each new chapter of the "Twilight" saga, the Mike Newton character is memorable because of his crazy sense of humor and upbeat personality - until Edward Cullen comes into the picture and becomes his competition for Bella's love.

We talked about his own personality, the difference between the three directors: Catherine Hardwicke, Chris Weitz and David Slade, recent projects and what the future holds for him:

"I did bring a lot of myself into the Mike Newton character, particularly in the first film," he said. "I really tried to tap into my high school wacky self and then at this point Mike Newton has kind of taken on a life of his own. And by the third film, it's interesting because so much of what defines Mike Newton is how he feels about Bella and his way in which he pursues Bella. I think he's finally come to the conclusion that he and Bella will probably not work out. He probably realized that competing with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner is not going to lead him anywhere."

About the "Twilight" directors:

"Catherine was just very anything goes," he said. "Basically threw all the actors in a room together and was like, 'figure it out,' and we had a lot of freedom to discover and to bring whatever we wanted to bring to these characters. Chris Weitz was a little more structured in terms of the preparation and the outline and gave us all a packet of his vision of the movie before we started filming, but also allowed some freedom with the structure that he set up for us to play and discover and find out, you know, who these characters were at that point in the journey. David Slade was kind of the polar opposite of Catherine. Just like, he knew what he wanted, was very specific about it, knew what he liked and knew what he didn't like and just basically told you what to do. So, if I'm lucky, I'll get the chance to work with Bill Condon and see what his method is."

When I queried Welch about "Breaking Dawn" (which, it was recently confirmed, will be split into two films) he said, "I don't know if I'll be returning yet. I just heard that Bill Condon, the great director who did, you know, 'Kinsey' and 'Dream Girls' and all kinds of things, has been announced to do the film but beyond that, I really don't know any details. I hope they have me back. I mean, my character is in the book, albeit for a very short period of time. I will be a part of this journey for as long as they will have me."....

Emma Roberts Deletes Twitter Account After Mean Twilight Fans Comments

From NYDailyNew.com:

Robert Pattinson didn't seem to mind when Emma Roberts revealed on "The Tonight Show" that she is on Team Jacob -- but Team Edward definitely did.

Since telling Jay Leno she preferred the hunky werewolf to the brooding vampire on Tuesday's "Tonight Show," Roberts has been bombarded by nasty tweets from Pattinson's fans.

They were so vicious, in fact, that the 19-year-old actress was forced delete her Twitter account, E! Online reports.

"Team Jacob? Ewwwwwwwww!!!!! >.<," wrote one user, whose comment was mild compared to several others.

Before closing her account Wednesday night, Roberts tweeted, "Rob Pattinson is so nice! I was slightly disappointed his skin wasn't glittering & the song 'Wild Thing' didn't start when he shook my hand."

Although some Twi-hards slammed Roberts for her "Tonight Show" proclamation, others are embarrassed by their fellow fans' actions.

"Dear Emma Roberts, Sorry abt our fandom," tweeted one "Twilight" lover. "Please know not all of us act that way. I didn't agree w/ your Jay antics, but won't cuss you out."

Another Twi-hard reminded everyone that if Pattinson wasn't offended, they shouldn't be.

"Emma Roberts deleted her twitter? I can safely say i'm very embarrassed to even be part of Twilight at this point," the fan tweeted. "Rob made a joke about it!"

When Roberts admitted she was on Team Jacob on "The Tonight show," Pattinson quipped, "Well, you just revealed yourself to have no taste."

Summit Confirms Splitting Breaking Dawn into Two Films

From ScreenStar.com:

Warner Brothers did it with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and now the Twilight franchise is following suit. It has been confirmed by Summit Entertainment that the fourth and final installment of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga will be broken into two separate films. The book Breaking Dawn is divided into three parts, the first and third parts are narrated by Bella and the second is from the perspective of Jacob.

The first part of the two part series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will arrive in theaters on November 18th, 2011 just in time for the Thanksgiving box office blowout. Summit announced that Academy Award winner Bill Condon will direct both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, and Kellan Lutz. Since Summit confirmed the cast, we are guessing the Lutz/Greene salary drama has finally been put to bed.

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg who wrote the script for Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is currently working on Breaking Dawn. Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt, and Stephenie Meyer are also attached as the producers of the two part project. Production begins in the fall at an undisclosed location and no release date has been set for part two of Breaking Dawn.

Kellan, Ashley & Jackson Talk Action

From Examiner.com:

As part of this weekend's press junket in Los Angeles, California, Access Hollywood got to speak with "Cullen family" actors Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, and Jackson Rathbone.

In the interview, the three revealed that the most difficult scenes to film in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse weren't the action-oriented ones but rather those scenes where they were in dialogue with several other cast members.

"In New Moon we got a little taste of the action . . . Eclipse was really fun to film because the whole time we had stunt training and personal training," said Ashley Greene.

"It's kind of like . . . in making an action film, it's probably some of the most fun. I mean, you spend weeks chereographing these elaborate fight sequences and finally you get to enact it . . . especially since you have all these amazing stunt ment and women who are just extremely talented . . . they make you look really cool," Jackson Rathbone added.

"We actually liked running around and being active . . . but whenever there's twelve of us in one scene, and you have to do it over and over again, it's actually exhausting," explained Ashley Greene.

Nikki Talks About "Breaking Dawn Negotiations & MTV Movie Awards

From MTV.com:

When it comes to believing rumors about the "Twilight" cast, Nikki Reed has some simple advice straight out of the '80s hip-hop playbook: Don't believe the hype.

"I think it's kind of an obvious thing that we would all come back to do ['Breaking Dawn']," the 22-year-old actress told MTV News on Tuesday at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards, addressing a rumor to the contrary that said salary disputes threatened to sideline one or more of her castmates. "The media gets involved. I mean, I didn't really read anything that was printed," she said, adding with a laugh: "At least the things that were printed about me."

While Reed isn't reading the blogs, trades or tabloids, sometimes her parents are. "I get the occasional phone call from my mom or my dad going, like, 'Hey, is this true? I heard that.' And I'm like, 'No! No, I'm not having a baby. No, I'm not! And yes I'm doing "Breaking Dawn"!' [Laughs.] It's always random."

A collective sigh of relief came from Twilighters worldwide when it was confirmed that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast would, in fact, reunite for director Bill Condon's take on the fourth and final "Twilight Saga" book, "Breaking Dawn."

"Of course we're all going to do the fourth movie. We did the first, second and third, and it makes sense, because we love the books and we want to make these movies," she said. Perhaps wary of contributing to complicated reports herself, Reed quickly added: "I mean, I'm speaking for myself, I guess."

Reed first caught the attention of moviegoers in "Thirteen," the 2003 teen drama she co-wrote when she was just that age herself. Reed's "Thirteen" co-writer and director, Catherine Hardwicke, went on to cast her in the first "Twilight" movie, which launched the franchise just two years ago.

Last year's "New Moon" is nominated in multiple categories at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, including Best Movie, but Reed insisted, "We should all win," noting, "I'm very diplomatic."

While it seems assured that all the "Twilight" movies will end up nominated at future Movie Awards, there's one category currently featuring two of her co-stars she's confident she'll never appear in. "I still won't be nominated for Best Kiss, because I never kiss anyone!" she laughed.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner - What's Your Opinion?

Now that we've all pretty much finished The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, what's your opinion? Will watching Bree bite it in Elipsse (or should we say "rip" it) be difficult on you now? Personally, I cried. I wish Stephenie would have ended Bree's story in Eclipse differently ~ she even said the same thing herself. But oh well....can't go back and change it now.

So what do you think????

Rob Wins at MTV Movie Awards

From Examiner.com:

With a full schedule in front of him, including shooting his upcoming project, Water for Elephants, and starting publicity work for the latest installment in the Twilight series, the Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Robert Pattinson took a break on Sunday night to attend the 2010 MTV Movie Awards.

The night went well for Pattinson, who picked up awards for Global Superstar and Best Male Performance for his role as Edward Cullen in 2009's blockbuster hit, the Twilight Saga: New Moon. The star also won the award for Best Kiss, along with his Twilight co-star, Kristen Stewart.

New Moon scored big at the awards this year. Not only did Rob (and Kristen) take away the above mentioned awards, but the film also won Best Movie. In addition, Anna Kendrick won the award for Best Breakout Star, and Kristen Stewart won the award for Best Female Performance.

A Lipgloss Made For Kissing Robert (or should we say Edward!)

From Adryanna at ChicagoNow.com:

No offense Carrie Bradshaw but when it comes to the big screen this summer, my heart belongs to Edward Cullen. Eclipse, the next movie in the Twilight series, comes out on June 30 and I can't wait.

I'm no twi-hard but two hours of gawking at Robert Pattinson playing the romantic vampire is hard to beat - yes SJP, even for you and your wardrobe. Side note: I rendezvoused with Robert Pattinson in NYC last summer, and he is even more sexy in person. Unfortunately, I couldn't translate our playful chat into a kiss, but I might have buried my composure in a cocktail and gone in for a souvenir smooch if I had this conditioning, plumping and tinting lip stain with me. It was designed for kissing Edward Cullen, literally. Wanna see?

Luna Twilight Duwop "Blush" Lip Venom, $16, Nordstrom.

The lipstain is the latest addition to the Luna Twilight beauty collection available at Nordstrom, starting today and inspired by Eclipse. It feels a little juvenile to whip out any product with the Twilight logo on it, but the collection's "Blush" Lip Venom (it's really called Lip Venom) is worth a try!

It's two products in one. Cool, huh? If you don't shake it up, the product is a lip softening oil conditioner. Once shaken, you have the conditioner plus a plumping pink lip stain. The color is gorge. I've been looking for a product just like this - gives lips a natural flush and provides a bit of TLC at the same time.

Luna Twilight "Team Edward" Color Palette, $28, Nordstrom.

Luna Twilight "Team Jacob" Eye Palette, $28, Nordstrom.

The line also includes two eyeshadow and lip gloss palettes - one with cool-toned Team Edward shades of silver, blue and pink and the warm-toned Team Jacob version with shades of gold, bronze and green. I'm not typically a huge fan of eyeshadow palettes because there's always that one shade you never use. But I was totally impressed with how versatile and pretty all the colors were on these palettes. Obviously, I'm Team Edward, but it's a toss up on which palette is my fave.

Are you excited to see Eclipse? Would you wear Twilight-inspired makeup? Team Edward or Team Jacob?

The drama was broadcast on ITV and raked in over 6 million viewers and is now being released on DVD in the US on August 24 following on from Pattinson’s global success.

Eclipse Girls Pose For Vanity Fair's July Issue

From AceShowBiz.com:

"Twilight" girls, minus Kristen Stewart, have gathered for a photoshoot for Vanity Fair's July issue. Five vampires, Ashley Greene, Dakota Fanning, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as one lone lady werewolf Julia Jones posed for photographer Norman Jean Roy.

In between the snaps, the ladies dished out about "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse". Greene, who plays Robert Pattinson's sister Alice Cullen, revealed to the magazine that she has no worries for "Eclipse" success. She claimed, "You don't have to be psychic to know how this movie's going to do. Obviously, it's going to be a hit."

Meanwhile, Reed talked about the love story between Stewart's Bella Swan and Pattinson's Edward Cullen. "Bella and Edward's love is very taboo and forbidden," Reed said. "And I think that kind of represents all youthful relationships, because that's what all first loves feel like... It's sort of borderline, like, insane."

And newcomer of "Twilight" cast, Dallas Howard who will portray vampire-with-a-vengeance Victoria revealed that she has been a fan of the series. She said, "I had seen 'Twilight' innumerable times. After I saw it for the fourth time, one of my best guy friends, for my birthday, made me Post-it notes with Robert Pattinson's face that said, 'Live Dangerously,' because I was so obsessed. My husband actually said to me, 'Do I need to be worried about this?'"

Kristen Apologies for "Rape" Comment - Says: I Made a Mistake

From NYDailyNews.com:

Kristen Stewart, who recently commented that the exposure and pressures of fame were similar to being raped, recanted almost immediately after the quote was published in an interview with British Elle.

"I really made an enormous mistake clearly and obviously," Stewart told People.com in an interview following the quote's publication. "And I'm really sorry about my choice of words."

The ink was barely dry on Stewart's Elle interview when the backlash hit. Rape victims' support groups in particular were up in arms over the piece. Stewart's retraction of her comments, the impact of which threatened to eclipse the release of the third "Twilight" film, was swift and direct.

"'Violated' definitely would have been a better way of expressing the thought," she told People.

Ironically enough, Stewart once played a rape victim in the 2004 film "Speak," and has previously done some public service announcements for the rape advocacy group RAINN.

She acknowledged that she should have been more mindful of her comments when she sat down with Elle to discuss her stardom.

"People thinking that I'm insensitive about this subject rips my guts out," Stewart said to People.

As the "Twilight" machine rolls on - "Eclipse" bows in theaters later this month - Stewart seems willing to just admit a bad choice of words and pay it no more mind as she gets back to work promoting her movie.

"I made a big mistake," she said to People.

New Eclipse Calendar

Here are Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in a new amazing 18 month Twilight Saga: Eclipse calendar with new still photos from the movie. Along with Pattinson and Stewart are the rest of the cast members. It's really beautifully done with blood red whimsical designs and borders.

This Eclipse calendar doesn't mainly focus on Pattinson, Stewart, and Taylor Lautner like some ofthe other ones out there do. It has a wider coverage of the supporting actors and actresses as well which I find refreshing. It's a good reminder that Twilight Saga: Eclipse is about more than just Edward, Bella, and Jacob. But Rob, Kristen and Taylor do all look great and this calendar cover looks amazing.

This Eclipse calendar covers the months of July 2010 through to December 2011 so that makes it the perfect gift right NOW either for yourself or a friend. All these calendars coming out are just so beautiful and unique. I can't wait to see what else is out there!
