Jamie Campbell-Bower Talks About Joining The Volturi
If you're hot, British and get cast in one of the "Twilight" flicks it seems like you're bound to be the next big heartthrob. Are we right Robert Pattinson? And, that seems likely as well for Jamie Campbell Bower, who like RPattz, not only will star in a "Twilight" flick (he plays Volturi member Caius in "New Moon" ), but also has a role in the franchise that launched Robert's career, "Harry Potter" (he's taking on Gellert Grindelwald in "Deathy Hallows" parts 1 and 2).
So, is Jamie ready for all eyes to focus on him? The answer is yes … though he may use his newfound fame to be wicked. "It's good," he said of all the attention he's been getting lately. "I think I might use that, in a bad way." Press play below to hear more about what Jamie had to say about joining "New Moon" and what his first Comic-Con experience was like.

Yahoo! News
***By CHRISTY LEMIRE, AP Movie Writer Christy Lemire, Ap Movie Writer – 1 hr 7 mins ago
LOS ANGELES – Bryce Dallas Howard is taking over as the villainous vampire Victoria in the third "Twilight" movie, and the actress who's played the part in the first two films says she was "stunned" and "hurt deeply" by the switch.
Rachelle Lefevre says she was unaware that Summit Entertainment, which is releasing the vampire saga, had chosen someone else to play her part in "Eclipse." Summit announced Howard as her replacement late Tuesday, saying Lefevre had scheduling conflicts that would make her unable to participate in the production.
But Lefevre said Wednesday that she was "fully committed" to returning as Victoria. She says her involvement in the drama "Barney's Version," starring Paul Giamatti and Dustin Hoffman, would only last 10 days.
"I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules," she said in a lengthy statement.
"Although the production schedule for `Eclipse' is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those 10 days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for `Eclipse,' never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10-day overlap."
The news also shook up the fervent fans of the "Twilight" series: Several are circulating online petitions urging that she return, and the top-trending topic on Twitter for a while Wednedsay afternoon was "Bring Back Rachelle."
Summit did not have an immediate response to Lefevre's comments.
Though new to the "Twilight" franchise, the 28-year-old Howard is no stranger to blockbusters, having co-starred in "Spider-Man 3" and "Terminator Salvation." She also appeared in "The Village" and "Lady in the Water."
"Eclipse," based on the third book in Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" saga, is scheduled to begin shooting in Vancouver in August. Part two, "New Moon," comes out Nov. 20. ***
Well, well, well...Shame on you Summit! You'd think they'd give the girl a heads up, right? Hmm, guess not. How accurate do you think all of this is? Only time will tell...

WHAT?!?
Los Angeles, CA July 28, 2009 —
Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of "Victoria" in the studio's upcoming production of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio's TWILIGHT film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster book series, will be directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. The film will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010."We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise," said Erik Feig, Summit's President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions. "Rachelle brought "Victoria" to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role."
In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob—knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.Howard is represented by ICM and Management 360."
You can see this official statement on the news section of Summit's site.I also just saw over at Twicrack, that Rachelle has signed on for another role, which is probably the reason why she has chosen not to continue on with Eclipse."Rosamund Pike, Minnie Driver and Rachelle Lefevre are playing Paul Giamatti's many wives in "Barney's Version," the adaptation of the Mordecai Richler novel being directed by Richard Lewis. Robert Lantos is producing via his Serendipity Point Films."Barney's" tells the story of the politically incorrect, fully lived life of the impulsive, irascible and fearlessly blunt Barney Panofsky (Giamatti).Lefevre will play Clara, Barney's first wife, a wild, troubled artist. Driver plays Barney's second wife, the annoyingly loquacious Mrs. "P." Miriam, Barney's third wife and true love, will be played by Pike.Principal photography starts Aug. 17 in Rome. Dustin Hoffman also is in the cast, playing Barney's father."
So if the Hollywood Reporter is accurate, and Rachelle is to begin filming her new project on 17th August, that is the scheduling conflict that is referred to in Summit's official press release. Say it ain't so! Rachelle, how could you do this us?!? It has always bothered me when a character in a series is replaced, especially a major one at that. Don't get me wrong, I think Howard will make an excellent Victoria, I just wish the actress wasn't being changed out in the middle of it all. I'm going to go cry now...
Thanks Twilight Treasury for this update.
Bella & Jacob Chemistry Previewed at Comic-Con
SAN DIEGO — It isn't often that, right in the middle of an interview, one of the subjects will suddenly lean over and nearly give the other one a full-on, passionate kiss. But when we caught up with "Twilight" saga stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner recently at Comic-Con, love was in the air.
As thousands of Twilighters walked around the Con wearing Burger King crowns that showed their support for either Team Edward or Team Jacob, 17-year-old Lautner knew the pressure was on. Not even a year ago, Robert Pattinson and Kristen created a rare chemistry that made them superstars, as they mixed their youthful good looks with the sort of classic romance that made the grandparents of their fans swoon over Bogey and Bacall, Tracy and Hepburn or Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh. Now he was in San Diego to convince fans that he could accomplish the same feat for "New Moon."
Photo from EW.com
"It's not tough when you're working with someone like this," Lautner insisted, moments after KStew responded to the chemistry question by leaning over and fake-kissing the hunky actor who packed on more than 30 pounds of muscle for the sequel. "[Stewart] is extremely talented."
"And it's such a different relationship," added Stewart, who couldn't possibly look any more anti-Bella these days as she finishes up work on her "Runaways" biopic about rocker Joan Jett, with short black hair and a Minor Threat T-shirt as her Comic-Con attire. "It's entirely original."
As those who've memorized every word of Stephenie Meyer's novels know, the Bella-Jacob chemistry is indeed entirely different from what makes the Bella-Edward moments leap off the page with passion. It's sweeter, more innocent, more playful — but if the "Twilight" films are to be as successful as the novels, then the pressure is on Stewart and Lautner to create the same "Which man will she choose?" drama heading into next year's "Eclipse."
"[Bella and Jacob] are light," explained Stewart, whose playful kiss may have given us a "New Moon" preview. "They actually have fun with each other."
And judging by the rapturous response they got at the Con, Taylor and Kristen had a lot of fun this week as well. "We get along really, really, really well," Lautner said of his time with Stewart. "It was fun; we had a great time on the set."

'Twilight' Fashion at Nordstrom
Wannabe vampires can now suck up some “Twilight” love — ummm, read fashion — at department store Nordstrom. The retailer has announced a deal with Summit Entertainment for an exclusive clothing and jewelry collection inspired by the upcoming film “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”
“Twilight,” of course, is the smash hit movie romance ($382 million global box office) about a teenager (Bella Swan) and her forbidden love for a vampire (Edward Cullen) and all the blood-sucking complications that can bring. “New Moon” is its sequel, due in theaters this November.
Shoppers can find their plaid tunics, “Team Jacob” T-shirts or “I love Edward” heart pendants starting October 1. The collection, created by Awake Inc, “reflects the mood and spirit of the film,” according to a press release. Prices range from $32 for a T-shirt to $58 for a jacket.
An Entertainment Weekly blog described the line as “supercute” but bemoaned the lack of life-size cutouts of heartthrob Robert Pattinson (Edward) in a suit for sale.....
Nordstrom is also holding events in stores in advance of the release of the second installment of the vampire saga, including advance screening parties, and has launched an online countdown on a special website.
But if you’re trying to re-create a bare-chested werewolf look, don’t go to Nordstrom — there’s no love there. You’re on your own.

Play-By-Play of Two New Scenes from New Moon
I'm here at Hall H in Comic-Con where Summit has just premiered two new clips from The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The clips came off extremely well, and were faithful to the book. Play-by-play descriptions follow:
Clip 1
Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) are bent over an antique light blue motorcycle. Jacob wears jeans, a brown t-shirt, and his hair is long. As Bella sits on the motorcycle, Jacob guides her hands (touching!) over the handles. "Brake. Clutch. Gas," he reminds her. Bella revs the engine. "Slowly release the clutch," says Jacob.
Suddenly, Bella sees the translucent apparition of Edward, a concerned look on his face, standing in front of her. We can see him, but also see through him. Bella takes off on the bike.
As she zooms down the road, Bella gains speed. She zooms by another apparition of Edward, standing in her path. She speeds by another. Losing focus, Bella swerves and falls from the bike, hitting her head on a rock.
Jacob speeds over to Bella on his own bike, coming to a stop with a flourish. He hops off the bike and rushes to Bella's side. She is bewildered, and blood gushes from a gash on her forehead.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Jacob asks. Bella apologizes for the blood, but it doesn't bother Jacob.
He takes a step back, the camera following his every move. Jacob strips off his shirt, revealing a six-pack, and bends down to dab Bella's wound with it. Their faces come very close.
"You're so beautiful," she tells him. Emotion flashes across his face.
END SCENE. TWILIGHTERS SCREAM.
___________________________________________________________
Unveiled at the close of the panel, Chris Weitz introduced the pivotal Volterra scene:
Clip 2
Alice and Bella are winding through the streets of Volterra, slowed by massive crowds of townspeople in red robes, celebrating the festival. Bella jumps out of the car.
"You're the only one he can't see. He'll be under the clock tower. Go!" says Alice.
Bella races through the crowded city. We see her at times in slow motion.
She fights her way through the crowd, stopping at the fountain in the middle of the square. In slow motion, she looks up to see Edward, slowly unbuttoning his shirt just moments away from revealing himself in the sunlight. He opens his shirt to expose his pale chest. (And his abs. Very nice abs.)
Bella screams out to Edward. "Stop! Stop! No Edward, don't!"
He takes a step forward.
END SCENE. CROWD GOES WILD.

Taylor "Feels Bad" for Jacob
Shooting for “New Moon” has wrapped quite a while ago, as fans must already know, with the entire cast preparing now to start work on the third film. With November still a long way to go, when the second installment comes out, Taylor Lautner is doing his best to keep fans on his toes, as shown in his latest interview with HitFix.
The interview took place back in May but, for reasons not disclosed, it’s just now that the publication is running it. It comes to perfectly accompany a photo that was just released by Summit Entertainment, showing Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) having a very intense moment inside a car, where it can be easily seen both that Bella is toying with her friend and that Jacob is desperately in love with her.
Speaking of which, Taylor tells HitFix it was initially hard for him to get to understand and become the character he’s playing. Once he did, though, he felt immense pity for him. “I don’t feel bad one bit; I feel bad for myself! (Laughs.) No, when I was reading the books, I felt so bad for Jacob’s character. But now that I’m actually living him, I feel way worse. Bella’s toying with Jacob! I don’t care if she’s ripped between the two guys, I feel so bad for Jacob, because she confused him; one moment, she’ll want to kiss him, and the next moment, she’s ditching him for Edward. I mean, yeah, I understand where Bella’s coming from, and it’s a crappy situation for all of them. But I feel really bad for Jacob.” the young actor explains.
If Taylor feels bad for Jacob, he is clearly not alone. Aside from the female admirers who are dying with anticipation for “New Moon” to be released and thus see just how many times Jacob will appear shirtless, there are also those who would rather choose Jacob before Edward because of the unrequited love story. According to Taylor, it’s precisely this love triangle that the movie is trying to place plenty of emphasis on, while the increased attention has only made the cast and producers be more aware that they’re being watched and, thus, invest more in their work.
“We know what we’re making this time around. I mean, for the first film, we really had no idea we were making a big film, we just knew that we were all in love with the series and wanted to make a great movie. But we didn’t know that all the people were going to fall in love with the movie and it was going to be as big as it was. Now, we’re coming into ‘New Moon,’ you know, with a little bit more pressure, but we’re trying to push that behind us and not think about that, and stay focused on what we need to do.” Taylor says of the difference between “Twilight” and “New Moon.”

Twilight movie 'Eclipse' has its first new casting
The movie's larger plot centers on a choice Bella must make between the werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and the vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson).Samuel, repped by Management 360, Gersh and Shanahan in Australia, has been in series of films down under, including 'Newcastle,' in which he played a Goth teenager amidst a group of surfers (the movie played Tribeca last year -- though you can bet Netflix will see just a small spike now), the Aussie period drama 'September' and the upcoming sci-fi thriller 'Road Train.' This marks his first U.S. role.
'Eclipse,' the third book in Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster series, is set to begin shooting next month in Vancouver and be released on June 30. David Slade ('30 Days of Night') is directing from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.
The Twilight franchise will become the center of the fan universe at Comic-Con next week when the stars of the second pic -- the Chris Weitz-directed 'New Moon' -- appear, new material is unveiled and the crowd goes wild. The Samuel family is probably about to see a little frenzy itself."

New Moon on the Rise
"Reporting from Vancouver, Canada -- Robert Pattinson is having an Obi-Wan Kenobi moment. Inside a soundstage where 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' is shooting, the lanky English heartthrob stands in front of a tall, wide green screen murmuring a tender admonition, 'You promised me nothing reckless.' Motion capture cameras hurtle toward him across a length of track affixed to the stage floor, while a team of technicians studies his stance and the tilt of his head. The plan is to digitally insert Pattinson, who plays swoony good guy vampire Edward Cullen, into a scene that was filmed much earlier -- one in which he appears as a spectral vision to his costar, Kristen Stewart, cautioning her headstrong character, Bella Swan, against hanging out with some unsavory-looking biker types. For the effect to work, Pattinson's image will need to be dropped in at exactly the right position, so despite the cast and crew nearing the end of a very long early May day, perfectionism is still the standard. The team working on this sequel to last year's Catherine Hardwicke-directed 'Twilight,' which brought in an unexpected $365 million worldwide for Summit Entertainment, is moving quickly to sustain the momentum of the sexy, youth-oriented franchise."
I LOVE this movie still, don't you?!? It's so hot! ;)

Peter Promotes Reading!
Having just finished a RV trip with his family, he had been watching the Robin Williams movie "RV" over and over lately and enjoys reading books like "Cat and the Hat" to his younger daughters. He encouraged everyone to read as much as they good describing it as "getting to create your own movie in your head." Fans clamored to take pictures with cameras and cell phones while the actor spoke and then it was time to start meeting the fans. The actor took his place in front of a red curtain that would serve as a "Twilight" looking background.
Peter seemed to enjoy talking with everyone as much as they liked talking to him. He complimented them on their dresses, shirts and ball caps, offered one a piece of gum when he was getting one for himself and got on bended knee for younger fans so he could be on their level. While waiting for the next person in line, fans who had screamed his name from upper levels of the mall or from behind barricades would get treated to waves, hello's, smiles for the cameras and even air kisses.

Bella's Birthday Dress
Q. Where can I find the dress Bella (Kristen Stewart) wears for her birthday party at the Cullens' house in New Moon? — Brianah
A. Sorry, Twilighters, but you're outta luck. New Moon costume designer Tish Monaghan custom-made Bella's one-of-a-kind dress: ''It was supposed to be a gift from Alice, so I wanted something pretty that Alice would buy, but also something vintage [looking] that would be appropriate for Bella. We dressed it down with sneakers to keep the Bella flavor.''

Harry Potter vs. Twilight?
“Hollywood marketing executives say that these days the “Twilight” franchise has influenced almost every studio marketing campaign that targets teenage girls. Some posters for the upcoming “Potter” film echo “Twilight”’s emphasis on romance. One features Harry and his crush, Ginny, gazing longingly into each others’ eyes, in a pose reminiscent of “Twilight”’s now-iconic image of its star-crossed lovers, Bella and Edward. Another shows Harry’s friend Ron with his girlfriend Lavender, while a jealous Hermione scowls in the background.
Warner Bros. and the team behind “Potter” say they didn’t take the “Twilight” franchise into account when designing their marketing materials for “The Half-Blood Prince.” Instead, they crafted a campaign aimed to resonate with previous “Potter” films, the executives and filmmakers say, dismissing the notion that there is a rivalry between the franchises among fans.”

You Twilighters spoke with your mouse clicks a few weeks ago when you made the “New Moon” trailer premiere during the 2009 MTV Movie Awards a record-setting traffic draw. With 10.6 million streams in the first 24 hours… well… all I really could and can say is WOW.

Pattinson Steams up Photo Shoot - In Stores Now!
Robert Pattinson, 23, is looking awfully damp and sexy in the latest issue of US Weekly. Part of a photo shoot done with Rolling Stone a few months ago, these latest pictures are reminiscent of River Phoenix and James Dean. Sporting a jean vest, low slung jeans, and a bared chest, Pattinson fans will surely devour these latest pictures! A source on the set tells US Weekly that Pattinson was up for anything, even letting them throw a bucket of water on him to capture shots like the one on the right.
Pattinson has captured the essence of "brooding male", from playing a tortured vampire in Twilight to a young man with family issues in the upcoming Remember Me. Fans have noted that recent set pictures of Rob in New York are lacking in smiles; is he taking the brooding attitude too far? Or is the fame and hype starting to get to him?
In any case, fans seem to adore Pattinson's mopey faces just as much as his smiles. Head to the magazine stands this week to get your Pattinson photo fix!
Kiowa Gordon: Landing the Role
..."'An acting coach worked with me for about an hour before the audition,' Gordon said. Ironically, 'Twilight' author Stephenie Meyer is a member of Gordon’s church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They attend the same ward; Meraz is also LDS.Within a couple of weeks word came he landed the part of Embry Call. 'My mom got an e-mail. She was ecstatic.' After speaking to the director on the phone, he was off to Los Angeles for a 'cyberscan.' It’s a technique used in many movies to create real-life animation. 'A machine went around my body to create a computer image so I could be transformed into a werewolf.''When I went to Vancouver, the first person I met was Alex Meraz. During the first three weeks I hung out with the wolf pack. We worked with a personal trainer. I gained five pounds. We all bonded and became like brothers,' Gordon said. 'I’m the smallest (physically) but I’m the tallest.' Gordon is 5 feet 11 inches tall.He describes a day of the set. 'We spend an hour in makeup (basically) getting darker and they enhanced our abs,' laughs Gordon. 'It was really cold, one degree Celsius. We wore robes before our shoots. All our scenes were outdoors. We had to get in the rain.'Gordon met all the major actors and shot a scene with Stewart. 'I’ve had long hair since the seventh grade, to my shoulders. Our hair has to be short when we become werewolves. I had no idea they were going to cut it. Oh man!'Twilight’s' worldwide massive fan base enthusiastically embraced the wolf pack. Gordon, who has a MySpace page, said before he landed the role he had 200 'friends.' Now he has 2,500 'friends.' During his down time in Vancouver, he and fellow werewolves dealt with the paparazzi who were eager to snap photos.Gordon admits fame has its drawbacks. 'People think I have money,' he said with a smile. While he landed a big role, filming lasted only two weeks although he flew back to Vancouver for a few more days for last scenes. 'People also think I can coach them with their acting; I’m the last person they should be asking.'His acting skills must be better than he thinks. He signed a contract to reprise the role in future sequels. In the meantime, he’s spending time in Germany learning to speak German. (He caught a flight to Frankfurt the day after the graduation). Gordon also hopes to go on a two-year mission for his church."

Help Edward Beat Barbie!!
Here's the information we received from Corie at ELLE:
We thought you might be interested to know that Barbie is beating Edward right now on ELLEVideostar.com! On ELLE Video Star, we have some great how-to makeup videos, such as how to get Bella day and Bella night looks, and, this week, an Edward-inspired look made by Candice Layne made it into the Final Four. If Candy gets the most views this week, her Edward video will earn her the title of ELLE Video Star, but if her rival Rose Funk wins, then Barbie will beat Edward.
We’d love it if you could get the word out to your readers that Team Edward needs their views. Also, if anyone wants to submit his or her own video, they have a chance to win in the future (we pick one Video Star each week).
Kellan & Ashley in 'Warrior'
From Twilight Lexicon:
Photography from the upcoming Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene movie Warrior is now online. Be warned there are a lot of shots and it’s a little spoilery so look at your own risk. The Photographer is Patti Arpaia and her gallery can be found here.
This is the plot synopsis according to the IMBD:
“In shock and denial over his Marine father’s death in battle, star Lacrosse player Conor Sullivan, always a maverick and a hothead, starts acting out in self-destructive ways that have his mom, Claire, at her wit’s end. But arduous training in a wilderness Lacrosse camp under the tutelage of his dad’s old combat buddy, Sgt. Major Duke Wayne, opens Conor’s eyes to the true meaning of maturity, sportsmanship and manhood..”
Here are a few of OTC's favorite photos from Patti's gallery. Looks like it's going to be a great movie. Enjoy!

Robert & Kristen to Appear at Comic-Con in San Diego?
While we're assured Robert Pattinson didn't have the most relaxing holiday weekend—maybe because of his beefed-up work schedule, his distaste for New York or lady troubles, or all of the above—we think he'll be much more cheered up today. (More on his blah InWhySee blues soon, promise.)
Twitter is buzzing that Rob will be attending Comic-Con down in San Diego in a couple weeks, if his schedule will allow it.
So is that legit? And what New Moon gal will accompany him? Do read on:
We're assured by our knowledgeable sources that, as of now, R.Pattz is a definite go to hit the San Diego festival. And he won't be traveling alone. Kristen Stewart will be by his side, too! With Robsten's over-the-top filming schedule, not to mention the vicious rumors flying around about the couple, Kristen and Rob have had quite the past couple of weeks.
That's why we're told that both of the overworked actors are superexcited about their upcoming rendezvous. And maybe that's why Pattinson's filming dates were moved up this weekend—to give him the vacay he so needs in a few weeks with his babe back in Cali. Us romantics can only hope, right?
But don't expect security to be nearly as lax down at Comic-Con as it has been over in New York.

Monday thoughts?
Robert Well On His Way!
It seems like ages ago since Robert Pattinson was a name unknown to the mainstream world.
Ever since the release of 2008's Twilight, he's been more than a blip on the radar; he's been practically steering the course of the radar's coverage.
Through films like How To Be and The Bad Mother's Handbook, Pattinson has been able to prove the capacity of his range - and it is wide. His pre-Twilight pictures, in retrospect, go to show that his name was absolutely destined for infamy, and that his work on Twilight was the exact break that he needed for propulsion into the center of hearts, minds, and movie screens the world over.
Back in 2008, right after the film's release, one interviewer had the foresight to discuss this phenomenon with Robert Pattinson.
Said the interviewer,
I did think that you're at this point in your career where if everything goes well, and you pick the right movies, and you've been doing very well - you won the Strasberg and you've done some other interesting films that are coming our way - that you know everything goes well, you could be Leonardo DiCaprio or you could be Johnny Depp, or if you mess up you could be Orlando Bloom, so I don't know whether you're feeling incredibly excited or there's a part of you that's slightly terrified because you know this is a moment that could change your life forever if you play it right?
Robert Pattinson's response was,
Yeah, it's terrifying. I mean, the way that the industry's changed as well. So you can't wait five years to do your next job. I mean, you literally have the heat to get films financed for about a week now, I mean it's like ridiculous, so if you don't find the right job... I mean you've really gotta like think quick in doing your next job if you want to capitalize on something as success. It's weird, it feels like it should open up options, but really, it kind of narrows them down because you have way more to lose. I mean, when you have nothing to lose, it's great. You just do anything you get, and then you can take risks, it doesn't matter. But, yeah, it's very very stressful trying to find the right thing to do if you want to have a long-ish career...
...It's nice to be on a, I guess, relatively level playing field with other people because, you know, a lot of the time you can do an audition, ... and you can do it well and people just say, you know, you're not famous enough or you're commercially viable enough to do the movie, so when you have a movie that's made $130 million or whatever, it's like ... ehhh ... kiss my ... (booty ~ edited).
His ... (booty ~ edited), to be sure, is certainly being, well, noticed - by the media, by the industry, by the fans - and no one could be happier about it. He is a story to be told, a face to behold, and a movie to be sold. He is there.
Not only does Pattinson have today (with The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Remember Me) and the promise of tomorrow (with films like Bel Ami, Unbound Captives, and, of course, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), but also many years to come.
As the interviewer predicted, the release of Twilight opened many new doors for Pattinson, doors which, without the success of the film, might have been but ajar for too long. Though, no doubt, Pattinson's skill and strength of character would have burst them open eventually (as evidenced by the fact that it did, in fact, happen), the speed at which Pattinson has gained the confidence, attention, and respect that he deserves is astounding.
Not only will Pattinson have a long career, but it will be one worth watching - for many, many films and years to come.
