Solomon Trimble Not Returning in New Moon

This is really sad news. I believe everyone in Twilight should be in New Moon and beyond!!

From Solomon’s MySpace

“My agent heard from Summit Entertainment today that I will not be reprising the role of Sam in “New Moon.” While I will cherish the experience of being involved in the first film, I am looking forward to many new opportunities in the future and would like to thank everyone for their support.”

GOOD LUCK SOLOMON!!

That is one of my biggest pet peeves: having two (or more) people play one role. I'm not blind. I can see it's not the same person...

Yeah I agree, this is bogus! Why did they cast him to begin with if they didn't plan on keeping him??? I don't understand it at all. Ugh!

Well i couldn't be happier that they replaced him because he didn't do Sam justice at all!!! no offense to him as an actor. He just doesn't fit the big 19 yr old leader role.

I am so happy they replaced him. Personally I thought he looked way way way too OLD to be playing a 19 year old. I hope they find some one that fits the role better

I agree with both sides on this one. I am a firm opponent of using multiple actors for a single "character" throughout a series. However, in this case, Sam wasn't introduced so while those of us who read the books knows who the old kid who said "The Cullens don't come here" is supposed to be....others watching the movie haven't connected to Solomon as Sam. If they had to choose a character to replace...I'm relieved it's Sam and NOT one of the more significant characters. Now...with all that said, I hope the people of Summit understand that once the werewolves are set in New Moon...they can't be messed with. So get it right!

Well... I liked him. I mean, which actor ever really fits the way you imagined the character in the book?
I think it's a pitty that they will replace him, but anyway - I think New Moon will be great. A little darker and all. And I'm so excited to see the Volturi... ;)
