From AceShowBiz: Forbidden to date until he is 28 years old, Taylor Lautner says he would love to date a girl who isn't "uptight and afraid to be a dork."
"Twilight" actor Taylor Lautner openly admits that he is forbidden to date before he reaches 28 years old. To M magazine he reveals, "My dad says I can't date until I'm 28. I'm definitely hoping to negotiate that one down."
Still, Taylor expresses his gratitude for his father's strict dating rule. "I realized that my parents were strict to make sure that I didn't get a big head, and that's a good thing," he admits. "My parents brought me up to have respect and not take things for granted."
Not yet having girlfriend, Taylor nevertheless already had in his mind the qualities that he looks for in a girl. "I like girls who aren't uptight and not afraid to be a dork," he says in a statement. "I dig girls who can let loose and have a fun time," so he adds.
Taylor Lautner and his "Twilight" co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were all photographed attending the premiere of the hit vampire drama flick in Tokyo, Japan on Friday, February 27. The threesome will reprise their roles in the much anticipated "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", which is set for November 20, 2009 U.S. release date.

I'm all for kids not dating too early, but 28? that seems to be pushing it quite a bit....
But I will say, Taylor is turning into one of my favorites. He has such a good attitude, really appears to "want" to be a part of the Twilight experience, is kind and very appreciative of his fans. Yay for Taylor ~ Please don't let Hollywood ruin you!!!
28?!? Yeah, good luck with that. Does this mean that his parents are keeping him in their home until he's 28 as well? What do they plan on doing, chaining his door shut, lol!!! "You will never leave, Taylor Lautner, NEVER!!!!!!!"
wow, sounds like his parents are a little crasay. i'm with tara, are they keeping him prisoner? :)
i do respect taylor though for respecting his parents wishes. thats awesome and something you don't see too often these days! but really, they can't force him to do anything when he is an adult, makes his own money, etc. it will then be his own choice to listen to his parents or not.
