Filming of "New Moon" is Halfway Done - What????

From AceShowBiz:

Reprising her "Twilight" role as Alice Cullen for "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", Ashley Greene has recently given an update of the upcoming vampire drama sequel. In an interview with Access Hollywood, the 21-year-old opened up that the shooting for "New Moon" is halfway done and also talked about the next shooting in Italy. Doesn't it take longer than a couple of months to film a "GOOD" movie??? I must say, this news definitely concerns me!

Do you think they're rushing it?

Yeah I think they are rushing it. They have to have the film out in November, then the next one out only months after that, that is what scares me. I takes time to edit, sound, CGI etc... they gotta get all the raw done quickly so they can get the behind the scenes stuff done.

I really hope it turns out ok, we all knew that Summit was rushing to "strike while the iron's hot" so to say so they can bank as much possible off of us totally obsessed fans. Let's just hope with their rushing it doesn't give us a bad product.

They may be rushing it, but we are looking at a sequel, with the same cast and a very easy movie, think and about the locations, the sets, the story line, I mean most of the movie is up close and personal. In addition, what exactly are they focusing on; it’s obvious that they didn’t put too much into the Bella & Jacob storyline. They had the cliff scene done last month. That just leaves the Volturi/ Italy stuff, and I have read somewhere they are doing double shooting locations. That means they can get more ground covered in less time. Not to mention if they're doing a lot with the wolves and CGI work it'll be done in the studio/at the desk.

In all I have every confidence that this will be a great movie, possibly better than the first, which is hard to say, because I loved it so much. However, I believe this because I didn’t intend to see the Golden Compass, and when I did, I was very surprised. That being said, I know CW can pull this off. It will be great and we will all sit in awe at what ever it is, because we're twilighters! Our Obsession is the source of our passion, or is it our Passion makes it our Obsession, lol. Either way I am counting the days.

I think they are rushing it but with the fan base we are not very good at waiting! I don't know since this is the second film maybe the pre prep stuff flew by.

who isn't counting the days!!! every diehard twilight fan should be anxious to see what their worshipped novel will be like on the big screen.
I, on the other hand, am not concerned that the producers are rushing. i'm totally confidend that New Moon will be everything I've expected.
I do have to say that it's really quick. I agree that Summit Productions are maybe a little bit to eager to get this film done while the twilight fans are yearning for the sequel. but then again... not even quick enough.
anyway... the movie will be fabolous. no doubt about that.
still for the true twilighters the film will be their dream come true (at least that's the case with me... i don't know how you guys are feeling). we twilighters are addicted and loyal no matter what!!!

(by the way: my apologies for my bad grammar or anything but i'm from the Netherlands and i'm not that much of a genius when it comes to grammar and all that stuff. i really don't care that much either... :) )

I personally dont think they are rushing it.
You have to understand.
a lot of this film is done on lapush. so how much time does it really take when you are only at one location?

I think they are doing the best job they can.

I am pretty sure that she meant that they are half-way done with the filming part. For a movie like "New Moon" they will probably be doing a lot of computer stuff, which will take possibly longer that the actual filming with the actors. Can't wait to see the result!

It sounds like it is going fast. I know the last movie they did not use a green screen at all. Everything was done live. How long did it take to film Twilight? They needed to develop the charaters more. I will be happy with anything that is new, but hope that it is good.

I think they're definitely rushing it! But as a true fan, I'm of course thrilled that we'll be getting to see the final result by the end of the year ~ so I guess I can't really complain.

I have a feeling it's going to be really good. I have faith in Chris to get it right ~ rushed or not!

This flim has a larger budget then the 1st one, ie more staff and more folks working hands on the final product. Thier will most definately film some extra scenes and preping for the 3rd film as well. The funny thing is with the cast and the this movie we know the key scene that have to happen so theri won't be much filler. CGI will take awhile. Rushed or not it will still be a good product.

I don't think they're rushing it, I mean it's not like they have to prep huge sets, it's very intimate, so even if they have to shoot the same scene many times (which they should to get it perfect), they can still get a lot done in a day, plus, eclipse begins shooting in august and we knew that they're getting about 8 weeks in between, so it's only natural that at least half of it is done by know

They're definitely rushing it!! Don't most sequels come out every 2 years? And none of those franchises have been hurt by that wait, so I don't know what they are pushing so hard with Twilight. It worries me about the quality of the film, so I guess we'll all have to wait and see on November 20th!

i really dont think theyre rushing. actually theyre on scedual cuz they have to shoot the movie, then edit, cgi, lighting, and if nesecery, reshoot things. but the cast is expearienced and they are great actors. they know what theyre doing. the movie will be out soon but i dont think its too soon.

How are they rushing?
As of today, New Moon has been shooting longer than Twilight, which was under 3 months.

well if you think about it, it could be possible that there almost dont.. only because they DID start right after filming the first movie. So it could be possible that there almost done.. but yes this worries me also.. hopefully it is good as the first movie!!
