New Moon Casts Caius

From EW.com:

British actor Jamie Campbell-Bower has been cast as Volturi leader Caius in the Twilight sequel New Moon. The 20-year-old Taylor Hanson-lookalike, whose credits include RocknRolla and Sweeney Todd, tells BBC News that he will head to the set in June. "I do know who else will be in it -- but I can't tell you, unfortunately," he said. "But go online and have a look at the rumors.... They're all false. You're putting me in a terrible situation."

I pictured the Volturi as being older, but the books never said how old they were when they changed, right? just says that they were brittle and thousands of years old in vampire time. So what do you think? Personally, I think he's pretty good-looking ~ and it definitely looks like he can play creepy!!!!

Another Twilight Spoof

I know we've seen a lot of Twilight spoofs, but this one is so HILARIOUS. I just had to post it! The last minute is bloody, just a warning. I figure most of you reading this blog are okay with blood, seeing as that this is a vampire blog! :) Enjoy-this is a good laugh.

The first official New Moon movie poster

There has been a lot of buzz circulating over the internet regarding the first official New Moon movie poster. However, it's nothing of a negative sort. I hate to be the one to say it, but where are all the pretty pictures? I know this won't be the only movie poster, and for that I am grateful. Is anyone else thinking the same thing? I think the poster is quite nice, don't get me wrong; I was just expecting something different I guess. Something more along the lines of this (below), perhaps?

Now this one, you can see the story in it. I hope that the posters to follow have more depth to them. And to whoever created this poster, I think it's fantastic!

Robert Pattinson "Not" Injured During Filming

If you heard Robert was injured during the filming of New Moon, you can stop panicking now, this rumor is false.

According to Aceshowbiz.com: Responding to report that Robert Pattinson has suffered a head injury while filming 'The Twilight Saga's New Moon', the representative to the 'Twilight' star claims that it is a false one.

Robert Pattinson was not injured during the shooting for "The Twilight Saga's New Moon". Quick to throw cold water to the circulating report was the "Twilight" star's representative. "This story is completely false. Robert has not been injured in any way and no version of the story ever occurred," the rep said as quoted by Radar Online.

The rumor was:

Earlier, news that the actor who plays Edward Cullen has been hurt while filming in Vancouver for the sequel to the 2008 blockbuster vampire drama has surfaced. National Ledger's columnist Mike Walker said that a gush of wind suddenly blew at Pattinson's direction and a loose metal advertising sign caught him on the head. Pattinson was knocked down and the camera stopped rolling.

"...It shot across the location so fast no one even managed to shout a warning at Pattinson, who was just opening his mouth to emote when... WHAM!...the unguided missile smashed into the back of his head," Walker wrote.

Ambulence was called but the actor allegedly insisted that he was fine although "looking like he'd had the blood sucked from him - began moving feebly, disoriented, but able to speak." The director, Chris Weitz, reportedly shut down the filming for the day and ordered the crew to come back the next day where Pattinson was spotted with a "lump" on his head.

Tyson Houseman is Quil

We've received a lot of emails regarding who has landed the roll of Quil. From what we can gather, the part of Quil will be played by Tyson Houseman. A lot of people think he's cute ~ what do you think????

Nikki Reed Has to Pretend to Hate BFF

By Larry Carroll:

"It ain't easy being the most beautiful woman in the world. It's no cakewalk when you personify one of the most beloved characters in Stephenie Meyer's best-selling "Twilight" series, either. But these days, Nikki Reed is looking forward to ticking off millions of people all over again.

"Rosalie feels really strongly about her hatred for Bella," grinned the 20-year-old Hollywood veteran, who returns to the set of "New Moon" this week to resume shooting the sequel. "It's bizarre. Obviously, we can do it because it is acting. But it is really funny."

She's speaking about her real-life love for BFF Kristen Stewart — a sharp contrast to her character's distaste toward Stewart's Bella. Fans all over the world have loved to hate Reed for being so cruel to their Bella, but in actuality, the duo recently took a vacation together to Africa and plan to reunite for the movie "K-11" between "Twilight" sequels.

"Kristen's my best friend," she said. "I get to work on a set with really wonderful people and really creative people, and there are a million people in the world that have read this series and love the series. I get to be with my best friend. I can't think of anything better."

Debbie Downer

Apparently our darling Robert Pattinson isn't too sure about how the fans will react to New Moon. Though we've heard from others stars claiming the new installment is great, Rob seems to think this movie is "incredibly depressing". For those of you who have read New Moon, well of course it's depressing, but still a good book nonetheless. I know I will love it just the same!

"Robert Pattinson has put a downer on the excitement surrounding the Twilight sequel New Moon, describing the storyline as “incredibly depressing”.The Brit born star – who is currently on location in British Columbia filming scenes for the hotly anticipated sequel – says that the second instalment is less about love and more about loss, which he doesn't believe will appeal to fans.
Rob tells Reuters, "The book of New Moon, the majority of it is incredibly depressing. “Obviously Twilight was about finding first love and the difficulties of that, but New Moon is really about loss and reconciliation, but the reconciliation isn't completely full."It's a strange story to have for a market that, I guess, wants to see a love story.”
Meanwhile Rob, who shares similar brooding qualities with his character Edward Cullen, says that he likes to keep himself to himself: "I like any job where you can just shut yourself away from everybody.""

Hey Rob, cheer up! We're going to love the movie, even if you are playing a much smaller part this time around. ;)

Vampire Rumors Hit Boston School

Boston Latin School
Photo: TeacherWeb.com

At first I laughed at this story....then when I read a little further I realized this really isn't that funny at all. People, relax, vampires DO NOT exist!!!! No reason to start a witch hunt!!!

From Larry Carroll at MTV.com: Police were called to the high school due to rumors of a bloodsucker invasion — seriously.

In Stephenie Meyer's imagination, Forks High School is a bustling place where students go to classes and proms, oblivious to the fact that handsome-but-deadly bloodsuckers walk amongst them. But could Edward and the other Cullens really be hanging out these days at one of America's oldest high schools? Or are the students similarly letting their imaginations run wild?

On Wednesday, police were called to Boston Latin School, a nearly 400-year-old public school whose prestigious alumni include Ben Franklin, Sam Adams, John Hancock and Sumner Redstone. The reason? Rumors were running wild that the school had been infiltrated by vampires.

"I seek your cooperation in redirecting your energy toward the learning objectives of the day. Please do not sensationalize or discuss these rumors," pleaded the school's headmaster, Lynne Mooney Teta, in a notice sent to faculty, students and parents on Thursday (March 26) addressing "rumors involving 'vampires.' "

According to The Boston Globe, gossip recently began spreading throughout the high school that vampires were at Boston Latin. The headmaster issued the notice after becoming concerned that some students' safety might be jeopardized, particularly if they were accused of being members of the undead.

"I'm not sure whether [the supposed vampires] were among the student body or whether they were inhabiting the old corners and crevices of the building," Officer Eddy Chrispin, a Boston Police spokesman, said after police went to the school Wednesday. "We did go over there and speak to some of the students and quelled the rumors that were going and kind of told them the effect those rumors could have on the rest of the student population."

Whether the supposed vampires are as good-looking as Edward, Rosalie and the other Cullens remains to be seen, but this much is certain: With "Twilight" selling more than 3 million DVDs in one day and midnight DVD-release parties occurring all over the country, there are a lot of bleary-eyed Twilighters out there who might have watched a few too many deleted scenes.

Then again, in Meyer's books, the Cullens had to move to new high schools frequently, perpetually reinventing themselves as students since their looks were frozen in time. And since it is a gloomy, overcast time of the year in Boston right now ... nah.

Russet Noon - No More??? - Let's Hope So!!!!

From Twilight Treasury: Following the outstanding response from Twilight and Stephenie Meyer fans, the Russet Noon author has posted the following on their ebay pre order page -

"Dear eBay Buyers,

We regret to inform you that pre-order auctions for Russet Noon have been discontinued permanently. Everyone who purchased a copy of the novel will be issued a full refund within the next few days. There is a possibility that the novel might still be published online for free. However, the amount of threats and slander that some Twilight fans have spread on the web about Russet Noon might just be reason enough for the publishing team to pull the plug on this project altogether."

Now obviously threats are not good(Tut Tut), but woop to everyone who stood up against this blatant copyright infringement. Stephenie, we are all behind you.

Russet Noon aka rip-off?

I came across this little number today from Twilight Treasury, who had gotten this information from Buzznet. Frankly, I am quite put off, outraged, and disgusted that someone would use characters created from another author (Stephenie Meyer in this case) and create their own story from it. To me, it seems as though this is a violation of some sort; all I know is that I won't be reading this garbage, as should everyone else out there. Buzznet has reported the following:
"Come September 2009, a new volume in the Twilight saga will hit bookstore shelves. It's called Russet Noon and picks up where Eclipse leaves off—except the story is told from Jacob Black's perspective. Oh, one more thing... The book isn't written by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer . Instead, self-proclaimed "gothic webmistress" LadySybilla takes a stab at the series. Confused yet? Us too."

Okay, so Buzznet just said this book begins where Eclipse left off. It seems to me that they meant to say where Breaking Dawn left off. Just an observation of mine. Buzznet continues:

"Although author Stephenie Meyer started writing a follow-up to Twilight (entitled Midnight Sun , which would be told from Edward Cullen's POV), she quickly shut down the possibility of the companion novel after an incomplete partial draft was leaked online . Meyer eventually made the pages public...but she insists that she's taking a break from Twilight duty "indefinitely." However, that doesn't mean that someone else can't come in and fill the void, right? Enter LadySybilla.

We don't know a whole lot about the author—an intial Google search for "LadySybilla" came back with nothing more than a weird YouTube channel attributed to her—but we have some sparse deets about the book's plot. According to PRLog.org :

The Volturi are now watching the Cullens even closer, and a conspiracy is brewing deep within the catacombs of of Volterra. Aro is determined to put an end to Bella's happily ever after. He is obsessed with getting Renesmee to join his clan in Italy, while Edward and Bella refuse to make Renesmee a full vampire. Renesmee hates herself for being only a half breed, and her unhappiness turns Bella against her own daughter. Humans in Forks are starting to suspect something about the Cullens, and Renesmee's lack of self-control is to blame for it. Bella and Edward might have to leave Forks permanently to protect Nessie. Meanwhile, the spirit warriors have returned to live among the Quileutes. Taha Aki has made contact with Jacob to warn him that great danger is coming to La Push."

So you get why I'm upset about this. This is totally bogus, how dare she! So isn't this copyright infringement at all? Here's the official statement from AV Paranormal, the publisher of Russet Noon :

"When fictional characters become such an intricate part of the popular psyche, as is the case with the Twilight Saga, legal boundaries become blurred, and copyright laws become increasingly difficult to define. This is especially the case when actual cities like Forks and Volterra are used as the novel's settings. Such settings are not copyrightable, as they are considered public domain. Similarly, the Quileute Nation is also not copyrightable, and neither are vampire or werewolf legends. Copyright laws protect writers from unauthorized reproductions of their work, but such reproductions only include verbatim copying. Characters are only copyrightable if their creator draws them or hires an artist to draw them. Stephenie Meyer herself borrowed a great deal from previous works dealing with these mythologies."

Yeah, whatever. Those characters belong to Stephenie Meyer, period. Sure, someone should be able to use actual places and anything not created by the author, but the characters are Stephenie's. This was her vision and now a very big part of her life. I'd really love comments from everyone regarding this. I want to hear your opinions, maybe they differ from my own, who knows. So, what do you think about all of this? And do you think Stephenie should take action again this so-called Lady Sybilla? I think it would be a complete disservice to Stephenie Meyer is anyone were to buy this person's books. She has no vision, no imagination, and I see her as a thief who has to steal another's ideas to try to make a name for herself. Shame on you Lady Sybilla!
Btw, there was the preface of Russet Noon on a youtube video that Lady Sybilla had put up herself. However, I noticed she'd removed both of her videos. Probably due to all the harrassment she's received about it. lol

Canada's Vampiress

Calgary Herald.com: Rachelle Lefevre doesn't want to sound like a walking cliche, but she really is "over the moon" these days thanks to the imminent start of New Moon, the latest instalment in Stephenie Meyer's 'tweener vampire sensation.'

Lefevre landed the role of "evil vampire Victoria" in the original Twilight, and come March 23, she'll be back on the west coast when camera goes up on the new movie's Vancouver shoot.

Lefevre likes working in her home and native land. Born and raised in Montreal as the daughter of an English teacher and psychologist, Lefevre has a long resume that includes smaller parts in U.S. and Canadian episodics, but it's her role in Twilight - which hits DVD March 21 - and the forthcoming New Moon that really set her star aflame.

Even though Victoria doesn't occupy large swaths of screen time, Lefevre says she's been enjoying the best of both worlds since she faced down Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan in a rogue baseball match.

"I don't even feel famous," Lefevre says from her home in Los Angeles. "And that's good. I feel like I'm a part of something with a huge fan base and that's entirely different. It's not about me at all. It's about the work that Stephenie Meyer created, so while I may be photographed at a Twilight party, I'm not stopped on the streets of Los Angeles."

Lefevre says she still has her own life, and her own privacy, and she's smart and wise enough to know just how valuable those intangibles are.

"The way I look at it is that I don't have to experience any of the downs that famous people have. I can hang out with my new puppy and my boyfriend, play Wii tennis, and be a real person."

Does New Moon Finally Have Its Heidi?

According to EOnline, New Moon has its Heidi ~ and she's a supermodel!!!

"I can exclusively reveal that Canadian supermodel Noot Seear has won the coveted role of the beautiful human bait in the Twilight sequel.

Heidi is described in Stephenie Meyer's novel as a "fisher" who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. She has "exceptional, unforgettable" beauty, which includes stunning legs, long hair and violet eyes.

If y'all remember, 90210 starlet AnnaLynne McCord auditioned for the role, which insiders have described to me as being more of a cameo than anything else.

So who is this Noot Seear?

The 25-year-old dark blond stunner hails from Vancouver, Canada. (Yup, that's where director Chris Weitz just started shooting New Moon). She's 5 feet 9 inches tall and has blue eyes, according to her agency, One Model Management. Her measurements? 34-24-34.

She began modeling when she was about 13 years old and moved to New York City "for more exposure," New York magazine has reported.

Since then Seear has appeared in spreads in Elle, Cosmopolitan and Vanity Fair. Her ad campaigns have included Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein's CK One fragrance, Vera Wang Bridal and Pantene Pro-V.

She's also walked several catwalks for designers like Ralph Lauren, Balenciaga, Lanvin and Alexander Wang.

Let the Robert Pattinson and Noot romance rumors begin!

Seear's manager could not confirm the casting, but tells me, "She has auditioned and is in consideration with the studio for the role."

Twilight Soundtrack Climbs to No. 3

From EOnline: The Twilight soundtrack is officially undead—thanks in part to Robert Pattinson's singing debut.

The new deluxe version of the soundtrack, timed to the film's weekend DVD release and featuring Count Cullen's first recording effort, clawed its way back up the charts.

Yes, girls, he can croon, too.

Twilight shot up 11 spots to No. 3 with 74,000 in sales—a whopping 250 percent sales increase—trailing only Kelly Clarkson's All I Ever Wanted (No. 1; 90,000) and U2's No Line on the Horizon (No. 2; 76,000), per Nielsen SoundScan.

The new double-disc Twilight package features five new songs, including the single "Spotlight" by Mute Math, an acoustic version of Paramore's "Decode" and Pattinson's "Never Think." A bonus DVD features interviews, music videos and live performances.

The soundtrack has sold more than 1.5 million copies to date. The Twilight movie DVD sold 3 million copies its first day of release.

Twilight Fashion

From EW.com: Twilight fans had loads of questions about the movie's fashion. So, with the DVD now in hand for an even closer look, we went straight to the source -- costume designer Wendy Chuck -- to see exactly what she had in mind.

Dressing Bella: "I wanted to dress Bella (Kristen Stewart) apart from the Forks kids because she arrives there as an outsider [from Arizona]," explains Twilight's costume designer, Wendy Chuck. "She's in lots of warm earth tones, with some Southwestern elements thrown in." Being the new girl in school wasn't the only obstacle Bella faced: "Having come from a warm, sunny climate to the rainy gloom of Forks, we wanted to make her unprepared for the cold and the rain." Which is why, Chuck explains, we don't see Bella in a raincoat until later on in the tale.

Dressing Edward: In order to dress Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) in a manner befitting the teen idol that author Stephenie Meyer envisioned, Chuck says she turned to the royals of the early 19th century: "His name personifies his look, which to me was English Edwardian. He's the embodiment of an Edwardian gentleman — very proper, has manners, and is very charming." The vampire's clothes weren't all inspired by history, though. As Chuck points out, "He wears a pair of shoes that are lace-up and of the early 1900s, but then he also wears more current sporty clothes."

Dressing the Cullens: Chuck had to pay special attention when mapping out clothes for the blood-sucking Cullen brood. "I didn't want to go too traditional black... I wanted them to feel cold and frozen." So she outfitted the family in grays, whites, and blues, while being careful to not go too over-the-top. "The Cullens have wildly expensive taste and money. At the same time, I had to anchor them in the practical world of going to school and being able to blend with everyone else."

Secret Message on Twilight DVD Disc 2?

Screen says: "If you actually watched all the credits you should be treated for OCD...Obsessive Cullen Disorder"

According to TwiCrack Addict, this message apparently appears at the bottom of the screen after the "SCRIPT TO SCREEN" segment on the second Twilight DVD disc. Watch for it after the Summit Logo!

**Did you see it? I personally didn't, so I'm going to check it out for myself :-)!

Twilight DVD - Sells More Than 3 Million on First Day

By Eric Ditzian at MTV.com:

"Breaking Dawn" sold 1.3 million copies on just one memorable day. The movie adaptation of "Twilight" had a $70 million opening weekend in November. Now the juggernaut that is Stephenie Meyer's vampire romance franchise has continued its dizzying streak of commercial hits with the film selling more than 3 million DVDs on the first day of its release, according to distributor Summit Entertainment.

The hoopla began Friday night with a series of midnight events. Or rather, the craziness began hours earlier as young fans and their parents lined up at retail stores across the country to be among the first to take home a copy.

In Salt Lake City, 2,500 devotees braved lines, while 2,000 attended in Los Angeles and 700 showed up in New York. Several "Twilight" actors made appearances at the events, including Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale), Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria) and Edi Gathegi (Laurent). Director Catherine Hardwicke held court in Dallas, even though she will not be helming the next film in the series, "New Moon." Not in attendance, however, were the film's biggest stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

The opening sales make "Twilight" one of the five best-selling DVDs of the last two years, joining blockbusters "The Dark Knight," "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Transformers."

Now that Meyer's love story has conquered bookstores, box offices and living rooms, attention will only increase on the young-adult series that has already been swamped by media scrutiny, Internet gossip and a rapid fanbase with a seemingly insatiable hankering for all things "Twilight." Since 2005, the series' four books have sold 42 million copies across the globe and the "Twilight" movie has grossed more than $370 million worldwide.

"New Moon" has just begun filming in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is set for release in the fall. Last year may have been a good for Bella and Edward, but 2009 is shaping up to be even more impressive. And, of course, don't count out 2010, which will see both the DVD release of "New Moon" and the theatrical release of the third film, "Eclipse." Love them or hate them, those gothic lovers are here to stay.

Twilight DVD Party in SLC Fan Experience

One of our followers, Heather from Utah, was at the DVD release party where Rachelle Lafevre showed up. Here's Heather's experience. **Thanks for sharing, Heather!!!**

I do not know what possesed me to go to the Release Party last night. Could it be that I have read each book 5 times already and seen the movie 3 times? (That was all I was allowed!) Or the fact that the Wal-Mart where the the party took place is about a mile from my home. Perhaps it was my 13 year old daughter that begged and begged to go. No, I am absolutely, positively obsessed! (I just have to hide it!)

Actually, I really did not intend to go because crowds are not my thing. I told my daughter that I would drive by the Wal-mart to see how really crazy it was. According to Fox 13 News, it looked very crowded. So, we left at 10:00pm (MST), and somehow I ended up parking and going inside. At this point I knew that a cast member was planning to be at our party, but I just wanted to get the DVD and go. About 10 minutes after arriving and standing in utter kaos, Rachelle arrived.

So, at this point my objective was to find where we needed to be to receive the DVD. We found a line, which seemed fairly short (yeah right) and stood waiting...........................

About a half hour later, we were told that the line we were in was for Rachelle's autograph. It would have been easier to come back at midnight and just buy the DVD, but my daughter wanted to stay, and I started conversations with women (older than me, hee hee!) Of course I mentioned how great your blog is!

Long story short, we waited about two hours before we got to Rachelle. She is a very pretty woman, very personable, and must have been extremely tired after signing for thousands of people.

Even though I hate crowds, long lines, and unfortunately very messy people, I must say that I very happy to have my DVD signed by Rachelle. Of course I would have been estatic (and maybe institutionalized) if Robert showed up, but I do not want to imagine the crowds then!

I am going to go enjoy my movie now!

Possible Vancouver New Moon Shooting Sites

From the Vancouver Sun:

Producers are revealing nothing of their plans for shooting the Twilight sequel New Moon. But they are here in Vancouver and they are shooting, under a fake name no less.

The reasons for the high security are obvious. Crowd control.

Reports that teenaged girls from all over North America are planning to travel to Vancouver for a mere glimpse of the production have been flowing in for many weeks.

The producers aren't talking, but we aren't hurt (well, maybe a little). But in the spirit of Canadian politeness and good business we'd like to offer the producers our suggestions for great backdrops for their bloody tale of chaste vampire love.

Catherine Hardwicke at Borders in Allen, TX

Our Twilight Chronicles contributor, Holly D., was at the Borders in Allen, TX, when Catherine Hardwicke surprised guests with her visit at the "Twilight DVD Release Party" Friday night. It was lots of fun getting to hear her talk about the movie and meeting her in person! I also was able to get the Borders Exclusive DVD set autographed along with Catherine's Directors Notebook. Here are pictures from my experience. . .it was an awesome night. Thanks Catherine for your autograph, keepin it real, and stopping by my city!

Oh yeah, we are totally besties now:)

Catherine signed over 300 copies of DVDs that night. Even after the original 300 that was set, she stayed longer to autograph more items-posters, books, shirts, etc. I was told by my good friend, Amy, who is also the general manager of that Borders Store, that over 500 people were there that night!

In the middle of the signing, Catherine stood up and walked over to a special needs teenager and chatted with her for a bit. She was so awesome, gave her a big hug and kiss on the cheek and told her how much she appreciated her being a fan. This young lady had watched Twilight 14 times in the theatre! I was impressed with Catherine's genuinity.
Me and a fellow Twilight fan, Katie. We made friends in the crazy long DVD wait line
Here is a better face shot of Catherine, taken by my new friend Katie, right before she started signing DVDs. Thanks Katie for the picture!

Here is Catherine sharing some Twilight movie making stories. She said that when casting for the role of Edward, Kristen told Catherine teasingly, "I will kill you if you don't pick Rob!" I agree Kristen, Rob was the PERFECT choice! Doesn't everyone agree??!

Twilight Star Sighting

Kellan Lutz Talks New Moon Muscles - And Robert's Hair

From Access Hollywood:

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner may have made headlines with his bulked-up body for series sequel “New Moon,” but he’s got another star to compete with in the abs department – Kellan Lutz, who plays Edward’s brother, Emmett Cullen.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Friday on “On-Air With Ryan Seacrest,” Kellan explained how he’d gotten what Ryan called an “eight-pack.”

“I love to swim,” he said. “I have a pool in my backyard.”

And the muscular star said his workout regimen hasn’t interfered with his candy habit.

“I have a candy drawer and I’m terrible with it,” he said. “Gummy bears, gummy worms, chocolate, everything. I eat so much.”

Despite the star’s good looks, it’s his on-screen brother in the vampire saga, Robert Pattinson, who’s gotten much of the attention of “Twilight”’s female fans – and Kellan knows why.

“His accent and his crazy hairdo gets the girls swooning,” he said. “I don’t have those locks.”

“Rob’s kind of shy,” he added. “ He’s such a humble guy, it’s hitting him hard.”

Indeed, the “Twilight” stars have found their profiles skyrocketing in the wake of the film’s popularity – making it hard to leave the house.

“We all [hung out] before ‘Twilight’ came out, we would go to the karaoke bars and just hang out and relax and now it’s like, we can’t go anywhere without being hounded,” he said.

For now, he’s just going to the set – “New Moon” has just begun production in Vancouver under director Chris Weitz.

“Working with Chris Weitz and being with the cast again, it’s great,” Kellan said. “We did rehearsals all last week.”

Ashley Greene Surprises LA

From MTV.com, here's a portion of Larry Carroll's experience at last night's DVD release party at Hot Topic in Hollywood:

".......At 6:30, I eyeballed the crowd outside Hot Topic, already several hundred deep. When I found them (and my dependable cameraman Erick) after the movie at 9:00, they were twice as deep. As we went around grabbing fans for interviews, we discovered that word had gotten out: Apparently, some celebrity news show had posted on their website that Ashley Greene was going to be here tonight! Thanks to Twitter, Facebook and all the rest, the word was out.

Sure enough, as the screaming got louder and the line wrapped all the way down from the second floor into the mall’s courtyard, some of our friends from Summit came to get me. They escorted me downstairs, past the crowd, to a secret room in the catacombs of the building.

Which leads me to what might be my favorite moment of the night. As I walked through the courtyard, a bunch of girls on a walkway shrieked at me – obviously, awesome MTV fans! Witnessing that exchange, two women walked up and asked what was going on. “Well, the ‘Twilight’ DVD goes on sale at midnight,” I said. “And someone from the movie is going to be in Hot Topic.”

“Are you in the movie?” they asked excitedly.

“Yes,” I replied. “I’m Robert Pattinson. Nice to meet you.”

As funny as it to think there are two women out there who now believe RPattz looks likes me, the best was yet to come. Ashley was sitting in a secret room waiting for us, looking beautiful in a red dress. She was very excited to hear about the size of the crowd, had a big hug for me, and I interviewed her for about ten minutes.

Later, as the Twilighters chanted down the minutes to midnight as if it were New Year’s Eve, Ashley appeared. They went nuts. She ducked inside the Hot Topic, jumped behind the counter, and started greeting the fans as they picked up their DVD. There were lots of hugs, shrieks, and tears of joy – but enough about me.

In the end, the mystery of all the “Twilight” DVD madness made it all the more worthwhile......."

Rachelle Lefevre Surprises Salt Lake City

By Sheena Mcfarland from the Salt Lake Tribune:

Hundreds of moms and daughters flocked to the Riverton WalMart late Friday night to buy the vampire romance film "Twilight" on DVD, and meet actress Rachelle Lefevre.

"I wish it had been one of the guys, but she's really, really pretty," said 13-year-old Sarah Bankhead.

The appearance of Lefevre, though, excited most fans, who thronged the table where the actress who plays the evil vampire Victoria signed autographs.

"This is just unbelievable," Lefevre said of the turnout. "You get better at handling it, your lip doesn't quiver anymore, but the excitement never, ever goes away."

She said she was "flattered" to be chosen to go to Utah, where "Twilight" author Stephanie Meyer hails from.

Fans of the books and movie were excited to see her, too.

"We were just a grocery cart away from her," said Michelle Holloway, 25, who snapped photos of the actress with wavy, red hair.

"She seems like a really awesome, humble person," said Holloway's friend, 20-year-old Lisa Johnson.

They both said they were "bitten" -- a term Twilighters use to refer to their rabid fandom of the books and film -- by the "awesome love story" between main characters Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.

"Every girl wants to find her Edward," Johnson said.

Many had stood in line since 9 p.m., but others started gathering at about 6 p.m., said Lisa Hansen, founder of TwilightMoms.com, which helped advertise the event and provided

"This crowd was totally expected, are you kidding me? It's Utah, we love "Twilight" here!" she said.

Stephanie Delgadillo, 11, was excited to get her DVD of the film at midnight.

**Please share your stories with us if you were one of the lucky fans to meet Rachelle!! And if you have photos you want to share, please emails us at: ourtwilightchronicles@live.com

Twilight - On Demand

From ChicagoTribune.com: Twilight vampires arrive on demand (and DVDs) ~ by Michael Esposito:

"At the same time the teen vampire romance "Twilight" DVD hits video shelves at midnight Friday, fans who don't feel like leaving the house can order the movie through video-on-demand on most cable and satellite television systems (about 45 million U.S. homes) thanks to a multiyear agreement between TVN Entertainment and Summit Entertainment (including both standard and high-definition versions).

Usually there's a 45-day lag between DVD release and video-on-demand availability, according to Doug Sylvester, president of TVN. "What we're seeing now is the studios are compressing those release windows," he said. "Typically the movies released theatrically within the last 12 months or so are often priced at $4. You can watch them in a 24-hour viewing window."

Robert is Single and Not Looking For a Girlfriend....For Now

The Vancouver Sun reports:

Twilight lead actor Robert Pattinson sure knows how to lift teen fangirls' hearts. He also knows how to smash them into a million little pieces. In a lengthy new GQ cover story, the Twilight star admits he doesn't have a girlfriend - and he has no intention of looking for one, either.

Pattinson shoots down reports that he's dating Brazilian model Annelyse Schoenberger, telling GQ: "There's this thing about my supposed girlfriend. There's this one girl who's consistently mentioned. It's like, 'He's dating this Brazilian model.'...What's her name - Annelyse. I've never met her."

He also slams rumours that he's hooking up with Joe Jonas' reported girlfriend, actress Camilla Belle.

"That's the funniest one," Pattinson says of the supposed love triangle. "No. I mean, yeah, yeah, I'm friends with Camilla."

Pattinson insists he's just pals with Belle (whom he calls "the most unlikely person to be a home wrecker"), even though everyone around him tries to insinuate there's something more to their relationship. "It's funny, though, because I met her at her place the other day, and there's a security gate, and even the security woman-I guess she knows that Camilla lives there, and she was like, 'Oooh!'"

The 22-year-old also claims that he has less of a social life than Edward Cullen. Instead of the nightclub fixture gossip blogs make him out to be, Pattinson insists he spends most of his downtime at home watching movies, reading Twilight fan fiction online ("It's surprisingly hard-core. And very well written"), experimenting with his microwave (his latest discovery: frozen hamburgers) and avoiding social situations.

"I don't see people," he tells GQ. "I don't even have people's phone numbers. I almost don't want to have a girlfriend, in this environment."

Access Giveaways

Access Hollywood is now offering you a chance to win a free copy of the Twilight movie. I have to admit, I was tempted to keep this my little secret and try to win for myself, but I just couldn't do it. I love you guys too much! :) Click here for your chance to win (I know I will). Good luck!

The Wolf Pack?

Is this the new Wolf Pack we're looking at? Nothing's been confirmed, but it sure looks like it since they're hanging out with Chris Weitz in Vancouver.....

Pictures are from Lainey Gossip in Vancouver who spotted the Pack out having lunch.

Jacob's House & Shed

From Twilight Lexicon:

"You can see that the Vancouver weather is just as bad as Portland’s was. They will obviously be filming exteriors to some degree here, or they wouldn’t have bothered to paint the barn to look old, or to put up the ramps and moss.

The area is set back from the public road the camera person is standing on by what looks to be at least 30 yards. That type of distance is often doable for crowd observation assuming the crowd is respectful of the filming process (not noisy, not blocking traffic, staying off private property). It remains to be seen if the road is blocked to local traffic only once filming begins. TY to Maria for the heads up."

Kristen Stewart Talks About Cliff Diving

From MTV.com: BEVERLY HILLS, California — As originally imagined by author Stephenie Meyer, Bella Swan is a diamond in the rough. We've seen her trip and fall, we've seen her battle her own antisocial behavior and we've seen her fall heart-and-soul into a most unusual romance. But now, as filming for "New Moon" gets underway, director Chris Weitz is planning to show us Bella as we've never seen her before. In CGI?

"I had to go in and do a head-scan the other day," Kristen Stewart revealed to MTV News over the weekend, discussing a recent Vancouver appointment to create a computer-generated doppelgänger for a key "New Moon" scene.

The CGI-Bella will appear during a moment Twilighters have long dreamt of watching with their own eyes: the cliff-diving scene. In "New Moon," Bella becomes so distraught over her breakup with Edward that she dives off a precipice into the icy waters below, hearing his voice whenever she places herself in danger. Fans care so much about the pivotal "New Moon" moment that some have even created their own videos depicting how it should go down. Until now, the biggest question has been whether Stewart would do the stunt herself.

"Unfortunately, no," answered the actress, back in Los Angeles over the weekend to promote her film "Adventureland," in theaters April 3. "I get to almost jump, and then no. I'm not going to do the cliff-diving, unfortunately."

New Moon Will Not be Shot in Volterra

Twilighers.org is reporting:

"New Moon will not be shot in Volterra but in Montepulciano.
Despite advertisements, anticipations and every kind of proposal from the major and the township, New Moon will be shot in Montepulciano because the locations are “more beautiful for the movie” than Volterra.”

Apparently this is upsetting people. Does it bother you?
