Debbie Downer

Apparently our darling Robert Pattinson isn't too sure about how the fans will react to New Moon. Though we've heard from others stars claiming the new installment is great, Rob seems to think this movie is "incredibly depressing". For those of you who have read New Moon, well of course it's depressing, but still a good book nonetheless. I know I will love it just the same!

"Robert Pattinson has put a downer on the excitement surrounding the Twilight sequel New Moon, describing the storyline as “incredibly depressing”.The Brit born star – who is currently on location in British Columbia filming scenes for the hotly anticipated sequel – says that the second instalment is less about love and more about loss, which he doesn't believe will appeal to fans.
Rob tells Reuters, "The book of New Moon, the majority of it is incredibly depressing. “Obviously Twilight was about finding first love and the difficulties of that, but New Moon is really about loss and reconciliation, but the reconciliation isn't completely full."It's a strange story to have for a market that, I guess, wants to see a love story.”
Meanwhile Rob, who shares similar brooding qualities with his character Edward Cullen, says that he likes to keep himself to himself: "I like any job where you can just shut yourself away from everybody.""

Hey Rob, cheer up! We're going to love the movie, even if you are playing a much smaller part this time around. ;)

Thats kind of strange for him to say because the fans have already read them all and we know whats coming. I am super excited to see how Taylor does being more in the spot light.

Obviously Bella goes through a major depression in this book, and that is a downer- as Rob puts it, but I hope Chris shines the light on Jacob - the character described as Bella's Personal Sun. For those on Team Jacob, this might just be their favorite movie. So don't go getting all bummed out because Edward leaves Bella - there's a great story through the sadness.

yeah, i hope people don't get all bent out of shape by these comments. Each of these books has their own element and New Moon is about loss and Bella trying to put herself back together. Not very light, cheery material. But like Laura said, we fans know what is coming and are looking forward to Jacob's "time to shine!"

From what I've read and seen of Rob he seems to be a little eccentric and sometimes makes comments that are not always good for his career. I think that's possibly why I love him - He's himself ;o)
