The first official New Moon movie poster

There has been a lot of buzz circulating over the internet regarding the first official New Moon movie poster. However, it's nothing of a negative sort. I hate to be the one to say it, but where are all the pretty pictures? I know this won't be the only movie poster, and for that I am grateful. Is anyone else thinking the same thing? I think the poster is quite nice, don't get me wrong; I was just expecting something different I guess. Something more along the lines of this (below), perhaps?

Now this one, you can see the story in it. I hope that the posters to follow have more depth to them. And to whoever created this poster, I think it's fantastic!

I wonder if they were just rushing to get something out so they didn't worry about the background. And seriously who ever created that one is AMAZING!! Why don't they just use this!

I concur. It reveals nothing! I'm hoping to see new photos of the cast in new outfits...and a hunkier Jacob.

I get your point, and it also bothers me not to see anything .. but it kinda makes sense... i mean.. new moon, darkness and all

that doesn't mean i don't want to see offical pics .. i would die to see a trailer !!! to think of a trailer gives me goose bumps imagine the movie...

I saw the official one on Meyer's website a couple of weeks ago, but assumed it was also fan made... It kinda feels like they're rushing everything... Why does everything have to happen so quickly? I mean Spiderman, Lord of the Rings, etc. all came out with like 2 years in between, so they actually had time to film and edit correctly...It just worries me that they are rushing - I want quality!
